Douglas C-54 Belgian Air Force OT-CWU Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-54 / DC-4 by Flight Replicas. It shows Douglas C-54 KX-1 OT-CWU of the Belgian Air Force. In 1950 the Belgian Air Force acquired a Douglas C54A-10-DC Skymaster from Sabena to improve passenger conditions on the link to and from the Belgian Congo. KX-1 OT-CWU was c/n 10326 42-72221 and served with the US Navy as BuNo39174. It came to Belgium in 1947 and flew with Sabena as OO-CBS. In 1954 a second aircraft was bought from S.A.S. this being a DC-4-1009. With the appearance in 1958 of the larger C-118 (DC-6) both aircraft were mainly used as pure freighters. Both aircraft operated by the Melsbroek based 21st Squadron of the 15th Transport wing were withdrawn from use in 1971 and although both survived for some years (KX-1 at Torhout, KX-2 at Southend (U.K.) they finally were scrapped. A repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.

Lockheed P-3C Orion V3.3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
P-3C ORION V3.3 for FSX. About V3.3:

-Specular decrease of various materials. (All models)
-The taxi light and the landing light read an effect file. Effect data is not needed other than these. This model was made to reflect in the ground and the fuselage the light which lamplight emits.
-MAD boom end shape modification.
-Attribute corrections of various parts.
-Shade correction of JMSDF_P-3C texture.
-Description correction of landing light in aircraft.cfg.
-Additionally, it is various.

This is a native FSX model. However, it is not compatible with DX10. It did not apply the bump mapping. VC and 2D panel are beta versions, and part of operation cannot be done.

Exterior and painting of this model has been created in more detail than (V29) previous work. Especially, the main wing relation (flap and engine nacelle, etc.) is the new designs. Several kinds of P-3C were prepared like symbolizing P-3C that was during transition now. It is 11 types in total.

Images related to this file:

File Description:
JetBlue Airways, the official airline sponsor of the Boston Red Sox, unveiled this A320-232 bearing the Boston Red Sox logos and became the first commercial aircraft to officially wear a Major League Baseball uniform/logo. Here's a description taken from JetBlue's press release regarding the details included on this aircraft; "this special A320 trades its signature JetBlue branding for a gray paint scheme inspired by the classic Red Sox road uniforms complete with blue wing fences with the Red Sox 'B'and a gray tail featuring the team's iconic dangling red socks. The aircraft also includes a banner (below the pilot's windows) commemorating Fenway Park's 100th anniversary alongside the JetBlue and Red Sox logos." I hope all you MLB fans and Boston Red Sox fans enjoy flying this wonderful aircraft as much as I did creating it. Repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is a complete install package. The Project Airbus A320 V2.1 model and air files are included. Uses default 737-400 panel and sounds. Please see Readme.txt for more details.

KNUQ - Moffett Federal Airfield - Mountain View - California (USA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Known originally as Naval Air Station Sunnyvale after its christening in 1933, Moffett Field was renamed in 1942 in honor of Rear Admiral W.A. Moffett a founder of the Navy's Lighter than air program. By this time the LTA program had been reduced to the use of smaller dirigibles for scouting and anti-submarine work but the airfield remained immensely important as a fixed-wing facility due to it's strategic location between Seattle and San Diego. The Ames Research Center established before the war also blossomed into a major post-war aeronautical research and development center due in part to its highly advanced wind tunnel facilities. After the Second World War, Moffett Field developed into a West Coast hub for Patrol and ASW operations against encroaching Soviet missile boats. The NASA presence at Moffett began as early as 1939 with the establishment of the Aames Research Facility and evolving into the sophisticated R&D complex it is today. This particular scenery package attempts to represent the base more or less as it is today.

New Skylab 2, 3 And 4 Mission Download

File Description:
Skylab 2 25 May 1973 13:00 GMT. Duration: 28.03 days. Call Sign: Skylab. Backup Crew: McCandless, Musgrave, Schweickart. Nation: USA. Agency: NASA. Launch Site: Cape Canaveral . Launch Complex: LC39B. Launch Vehicle: Saturn IB . LV Configuration: Saturn IB s/n SA-206. Program: Skylab. Class: Manned. Type: Lunar spacecraft. Spacecraft: Apollo CSM. Payload : Apollo CSM 116. Mass: 19,979 kg. Location of Spacecraft: Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola, FL. Perigee: 427 km. Apogee: 439 km. Inclination: 50.0 deg. Period: 93.2 min. Epic repair mission which brought Skylab into working order. Included such great moments as Conrad being flung through space by the whiplash after heaving on the solar wing just as the debris constraining it gave way; deployment of a lightweight solar shield, developed in Houston in one week, which brought the temperatures down to tolerable levels. With this flight US again took manned spaceflight duration record. When the meteoroid shield ripped loose, it disturbed the mounting of workshop solar array "wing" two and caused it to partially deploy. The exhaust plume of the second stage retro-rockets impacted the partially deployed solar array and literally blew it into space. Also, a strap of debris from the meteoroid shield overlapped solar array "wing" number one such that when the programmed deployment signal occurred, wing number one was held in a slightly opened position where it was able to generate virtually no power. In the meantime, the space station had achieved a near-circular orbit at the desired altitude of 435 kilometers (270 miles). All other major functions including payload shroud jettison, deployment of the Apollo Telescope Mount (Skylab's solar observatory) and its solar arrays, and pressurization of the space station occurred as planned. Scientists, engineers, astronauts, and management personnel at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and elsewhere worked throughout the first ten-day period of Skylab's flight to devise the means for its rescue. Simultaneously, Skylab--seriously overheating--was maneuvered through varying nose-up attitudes that would best maintain an acceptable "holding" condition. Because of the loss of the meteoroid shield, however, this positioning caused workshop temperatures to rise to 52 degrees Celsius (126 degrees F). During that ten-day period and for some time thereafter, the space station operated on less than half of its designed electrical system, in the partially nose-up attitudes, was generating power at reduced efficiency. The optimum condition that maintained the most favorable balance between Skylab temperatures and its power generation capability occurred at approximately 50 degrees nose-up. The crew rendezvoused with Skylab on the fifth orbit. After making substantial repairs, including deployment of a parasol sunshade which cooled the inside temperatures to 23.8 degrees C (75 degrees F), by June 4 the workshop was in full operation. In orbit the crew conducted solar astronomy and Earth resources experiments, medical studies, and five student experiments; 404 orbits and 392 experiment hours were completed; three EVAs totalled six hours, 20 minutes. Skylab 3 28 July 1973 11:10 GMT. Duration: 59.46 days. Call Sign: Skylab. Backup Crew: Brand, Lenoir, Lind. Nation: USA. Agency: NASA. Launch Site: Cape Canaveral . Launch Complex: LC39B. Launch Vehicle: Saturn IB . LV Configuration: Saturn IB s/n SA-207. Program: Skylab. Class: Manned. Type: Lunar spacecraft. Spacecraft: Apollo CSM. Payload: Apollo CSM 117. Mass: 20,121 kg. Location of Spacecraft: NASA Lewis Research Center, Cleveland, OH. Perigee: 422 km. Apogee: 442 km. Inclination: 50.0 deg. Period: 93.2 min. Continued maintenance of the Skylab space station and extensive scientific and medical experiments. Installed twinpole solar shield on EVA; performed major inflight maintenance; doubled record for length of time in space. Completed 858 Earth orbits and 1,081 hours of solar and Earth experiments; three EVAs totalled 13 hours, 43 minutes. Skylab4 16 November 1973 14:01 GMT. Duration: 84.05 days. Call Sign: Skylab. Backup Crew: Brand, Lenoir, Lind. Nation: USA. Agency: NASA. Launch Site: Cape Canaveral . Launch Complex: LC39B. Launch Vehicle: Saturn IB . LV Configuration: Saturn IB s/n SA-208. Program: Skylab. Class: Manned. Type: Lunar spacecraft. Spacecraft: Apollo CSM. Payload: Apollo CSM 118. Mass: 20,847 kg. Location of Spacecraft: National Air and Space Museum (Smithsonian Institution), Washington, DC. Perigee: 422 km. Apogee: 437 km. Inclination: 50.0 deg. Period: 93.1 min. Included observation and photography of Comet Kohoutek among numerous experiments. Completed 1,214 Earth orbits and four EVAs totalling 22 hours, 13 minutes. Increased manned space flight time record by 50%. Rebellion by crew against NASA Ground Control overtasking led to none of the crew ever flying again.

BREDA Ba.65 (A.80) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Breda 65 pioneered and developed the doctrine which would soon be known as 'blitzkrieg'. The Breda 65 flew combat missions over Spain with the 'Aviazione Legionaria' from August 1937. The faster Ba.65 A.80 (Series II), with new engine, more powerful supercharger, a constant speed airscrew and a slatted wing made its combat debut in Spain during October 1938. By September 1939 the Ba.65 A.80 was judged inadequate for prospective trans Alpine combat against France and surviving Regia Aeronautica Ba.65s were quickly relegated to Libya, where they were mostly squandered providing close air support for the Italian Army between June 1940 and January 1941. The final Ba.65 combat missions were flown by the mutinous Iraqi Air Force in support of the French and German funded Islamic insurgency of April/May 1941.

Complete aircraft, features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls. Five different liveries ("Regia Aeronautica"/Spanish"Aviazione Legionaria"). VC only. GMax Models and Skins by Manuele Villa, Flight dynamics, Handling notes and Tutorials by FSAviator, Sounds by Tim Dement. It works also (Tested) in FSX (NOT Acceleration). By Manuele Villa/MVG3D, April 2010.
