File Description:
FS2004 USAF/MATS Convair CV-240 VBF in colors of 1952. The Convair with cn 264 was one of a bunch of T-29B-CO (CV-240-27) delivered to the U.S. Air Force September 16, 1952 and on July 15, 1953 assigned to the 1299 Transport Squadron of Military Air Transport Service (MATS). She was equipped with standard high density seating for staff transport and painted in the typically MATS livery of the early fifties. On July 13, 1956 she was converted to VC-131A standard and fitted with the weather mapping radar used extensively on the model CV-440 and on many CV-340 models. The last operator of this Convair was the 86th Tactical Fighter Wing based at Stuttgart (Germany). She came to AMARC on May 06, 1975 and was sold off for scrap on November 23, 1994. The Piaggio P-180 is a high-speed high-efficiency turboprop aircraft. Capable of speeds up to 395 KTAS (or M0.68) up to its service ceiling of 41000ft. This performance is achieved by extreme aerodynamic optimization instead of sheer power. The end result is an aircraft that burns 40% less fuel than the average jet of comparable size, while flying at the same speed range, or 30% less than an equivalent size turboprop, as it flies much faster. The pusher propellers on the wings mounted much backwards thanks to the forward wing set make it a comfortable and quiet ride for the passengers, that also enjoy a very spacious cabin for an aircraft of this size.

File Description:
F4U Corsair for x-plane 6.4 to 6.6 - With its huge propeller (13'-4" diameter) and 2000 + HP engine it requires a lot of skill to just get this bird into the air. The torque on the plane is so high that a fair amount of left stick is required to keep the plane from rolling on takeoff. To handle all of this horsepower and keep the landing gear as short as possible the solution was to "crank" the wing giving the corsair its unique appearance. Visibility during takeoff and landings is terrible due to the long nose. Carrier landings have to be made by turning into the landing alignment. The plane is decorated in the skin of 86 where "Pappy" Boyington of the Black Sheep squadron was photographed before his last mission. In the Pacific pilots did not fly any specific plane as they did in the European theater but flew whatever was ready to go. If you look very closely you older simmers may recognize Robert Conrad who played Pappy Boyington in the TV series about the Black Sheep.

File Description:
B36 Jv1.1 Peacemaker for X-Plane 6.4-6.6 - Upgraded panel but still not custom; J version with 3800 HP engines. The B36 Peacemaker was the last propeller driven bomber put into service by the US. With 6 - 3800 Hp radial engines and a gross takeoff weight of 410,000 lbs the early versions like the A and B variant were woefully underpowered. This file is the later J version with 4 - 5200 lb static thrust jet engines added. Never called into active service the B36 provided the US long range nuclear determent until the jet B52 came into service. The B36 is a huge airplane with a large payload capacity, 10000 mile range and long endurance. See the read me file for distribution and copyright information.

| Project Airlift 99th Airlift Squadron #1 |

File Description:
The 99th Airlift Squadron is a member of the 89th Airlift Wing stationed at Andrews AFB. Although the 99th flies more than C-9C VIP transports, there are no viable AI models for the other bizjets that they fly. There is an excellent C-9C paint by Boback Shahsafdari (aia_c9_c_usaf.zip) available at Avsim. It is based on the AI Aardvark DC-9-30. There are only 3 C-9C transports assigned to the 99th. Project Airlift has scheduled one C-9C to fly between Washington DC and the various HQ of the United States Air Forces in Europe. Another C-9C flies between the HQ of the Air Mobility Command and the HQ of the 15th and 21st Air Forces. The last C-9C visits the HQ of all major Air Force Commands in the CONUS during the week and spends the weekend ferrying VIPs between the HQ of the Air Combat Command and the HQ of the 8th, 9th, and 12th Air Forces. Ttools by Lee Swordy is required.

The 1st Airlift Squadron is a member of the 89th Airlift Wing of the 21st Air Force. It, along with the rest of the 89th AW, is based at Andrews AFB. The 1st AS flies the 2nd most famous aircraft in the world: "Air Force Two". Although its primary function is to provide air transportation to the Vice President (and occasionally the President), they frequently fly the First Lady, members of Congress, and foreign and domestic VIPs. 4 C-32As (757-200) are flown and flightplans are provided for each. As a group, these 4 planes visit 86 nations in the Americas (sans the Caribbean), Europe, Asia (sans the Mideast) and Oceania. Australia and Canada are toured extensively. The visits last between 1 & 6 hours. PAL would like to thank AI Aardvark for creating the most GPU friendly !->&<-! eye friendly 757-200 in the hobby and Tony Fosler for painting the AIA 757-200 in eye catching C-32A USAF colors. Val-U-Prop is a rogue airline based in Bloomington, Indiana, that flies everything from VIPs to sheep manure anyplace and anytime. VP's motto is "No job too small; No fee too large," and our DC-3's, DC-4's, DC-6's and DC-8's can be seen hedge-hopping into various obscure airports throughout the world. This aircraft is an all-aluminum re-paint of the fabulous DC-3 OH-LCH by Jan Visser, Erik Ellis, Roy Chaffin, Ian Roper and Bill Rambow, to which FS2002 lights have been added. It has military capability, including machine guns and NUCLEAR/GPS/JDAM guided bomb launch. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS and (optional) default radios, so there is no tabbing. The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Klein, and the vintage C-47 cabin was photographed by Tom Turner. Gauges by James Underwood, Ernie Kennedy and Dai Griffiths. The 737-600 and -700 are the smaller members of Boeing's successful Next Generation 737-600/700/800/900 family. The new engines and wings allow the 737 to cruise at Mach 0.78 to Mach 0.80, while the larger wing allows greater fuel tankage and transcontinental USA range. The improved Next Generation Boeing 737 family (originally covered by the 737X designation) was launched in November 1993. The 737-700 was the first member of the new family to be developed, and is based on the 737-300, while the 737-600 is based on the 737-500. 737-600 was launched was launched on March 16 1996, first flew on January 22 1998 and entered service (with SAS) in September that year. This is an Air China Boeing 737-600 (Operator designator 6N = 737-66N). These textures are for use with Aircraft Repaints New Zealands' (ARNZ) AIS-AI model, which has groundbreaking new features for AI which include animated inbuilt scenery, which will bring your AI and airports to life!
