PAKN - King Salmon - Alaska, US V1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is the final version, complete in itself and incorporating the two modifications posted separately. King Salmon is a town with a population of just under 400, on the north bank of the Naknek River and 15 miles from the sea. The airport is adjacent to the town and was originally an airforce base; the military hangars on the airport are still usable. The airport, with its long runway (11-29 and 8,500 feet with an ILS, and a second runway 18-36 and 4,000 feet) is a transportation hub for the area in general and in particular for the salmon industry. Along the Naknek River there are numerous canneries and there are also fishing lodges on the river and nearby lakes; to speed up transportation to the lodges there are float bases on the river to the south of the airport. King Salmon has three tiers of scheduled flights: Alaska Air direct from Anchorage in a 737 (passengers and cargo), PenAir (Saab turboprop) as part of their flights up and down the peninsula, and Grant Air serving nearby small towns. There are also PenAir flights, both scheduled and unscheduled, in smaller aircraft (Piper Navajo for instance) to smaller airports for the fishing season, plus cargo flights in larger aircraft by the lowest bidder (Everts and Northern). To complete the mix the AI includes a pair of F15s. The runways cross (see the airport diagram) so read the notes re long taxi routes. There is AI for PAKN, plus revised AI made for Dutch Harbor which includes flights by PenAir to King Salmon, plus revised parking for Dutch Harbor with new replacement bgls to cater for more flights. There is also AI for the float bases on the river; I have made two runways separated into two float bases for river AI, called King Salmon Floats and King Salmon River; more AI for these will be added when other scenery along the river is made. Just land according to the wind and taxi to whatever dock takes your fancy.

PAAQ - Palmer Muni - Anchorage, Alaska - USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Palmer PAAQ is in Alaska, some 40 miles northeast of Anchorage on the north side of Knik Arm and beside the west bank of the Matanuska River. It is for both GA and commercial aircraft. There are two apron areas, north and south, separated by the east-west runway. The north apron is for the Forestry Service planes and for resident GA tie-down places and hangars, along with maintenance facilities; the southern end of the north apron is for itinerant aircraft. The south apron is almost entirely for commercial companies and again maintenance. The main runway is just under 6,000 feet long, aligned L16-R34 and asphalted and lit, as is the parallel taxiway A. There is also a shorter and parallel runway that is grass and which receives no winter maintenance. The second main runway is 3,600 feet long and aligned 09-27, asphalt and lit and with a parallel taxiway B, also lit. The airport is undergoing a process of upgrading, which explains the varied colours (and age) of resurfaced taxiways. There are adjustment bgl's for two other neighbourhood airstrips, Toad Lake 24AK and Wolf Track 9AK8, which I just discovered buried in nearby holes in the ground; I also revised their runway surfaces.

PABT PATA UTO 6A8 (Alaska) Upgrades Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This scenery upgrades PABT, PATA, UTO and 6A8 in Alaska. Upgrades include taxiways, hangers, airport buildings, aircraft and ground vehicles, helipads and other objects. It also updates the 2 water runways at PABT as start points which in FSX they aren't start points. The water runway area is updated with marina objects, a float plane dock, float plane support shops and buildings and a private residence with a private dock for boats and float planes. The helipads were an addition because I use Flight 1's heli-traffic and have helo traffic flying back and forth. Future upgrades to several of the small airports in the area will include AI helo and bush plane traffic. Read the text file for info and installation instructions. 4 pictures are included of each airports upgrades. Please enjoy these upgrades and check the Avsim library for future upgrades coming soon. Savageagle.

PFCL - Clarks Point Airport - Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Clarks Point Airport (IATA: CLP, ICAO: PFCL, FAA LID: CLP) is a state-owned public-use airport located in Clarks Point, a city in the Dillingham Census Area of the U.S. state of Alaska.

Increased runway length from 2,600 feet to 3,200 feet and renumbered runway to 18/36. Changes were made based on 2004 construction plans. Created with Airport Design Editor 9x by Scruffy Duck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects and addition of custom models.
