CYZD Download

File Description:
Downsview Airport or Toronto/Downsview Airport, (IATA: YZD, ICAO: CYZD), is located in Toronto, Ontario and has been exclusively used and owned as a testing facility by Bombardier Aerospace since 1994. Downsview Airport has its own fire service (Bombardier Emergency Services) which covers airport operations (using two airport fire rescue vehicles) and plant operations (using two SUV emergency vehicles). Bombardier Emergency Services employs robust employees who are trained as fire fighters, paramedics, and as peace officers (despite being a private airport, its security force is sworn in as Peace Officers per Canadian Airport Standards as well as being sworn fire fighters under the authority of the Ontario Fire Marshall). The Downsview Airport was developed in 1939 as an airfield next to an aircraft manufacturing plant operated by de Havilland Canada. In 1947, the Department of National Defence purchased property surrounding the airfield and expanded it, creating RCAF Station Downsview to provide an air base for Royal Canadian Air Force units. The base was renamed Canadian Forces Base Toronto (Downsview) in 1968 and retained this name until its closure in 1994. Since 1998, the property has been administered by a civilian Crown corporation Parc Downsview Park, which co-manages the airfield with Bombardier Aerospace (the successor to de Havilland Canada). In recent years the property has been undergoing various landscape usage plans and some redevelopment has taken place. The airfield was used in recent years to host the 1984 and 2002 Papal visits by Pope John Paul II, as well as to host the 2003 SARS concert headlined by the Rolling Stones. The airfield has also served as a test site for several famous aircraft produced by de Havilland, including the Beaver, the Twin Otter, and the Dash 8. The airport is available to pilots only with prior permission. Discription By Wikipedia.

2 Fronson Hangars Download

File Description:
This model was created to be placed in FSX as airport scenery using Airport Design Editor. I created it for my own use when i was re-creating RNAS HMS Nuthatch which was a Naval Airstation near Anthorn on the Solway Coast in Cumberland (now Cumbria), United Kingdom. History of RNAS HMS Nuthatch... Work began on building an airfield at Anthorn for the Fleet Air Arm in late 1943, with Royal Naval Air Station Anthorn, or HMS Nuthatch opening on 7 September 1944, with three tarmac runways. It was the base of No. 1 Aircraft Receipt and Despatch Unit (No. 1 ARDU), which had the job of receiving aircraft fresh from manufacturers, modifying them to Service standards and despatching them to operational squadrons, with the unit specialising in the Vought F4U Corsair. No. 1 ARDU continued to operate from Anthorn following the end of the Second World War, while a number of Fleet Air Arm Squadrons were also based at the airfield in the immediate post war years. The airbase shut down in March 1958. The Airfield is now the site of a VLF/LF transmitter used for transmitting orders to Submarines, it is also home to three atomic clocks for transmitting Britains time signal transmissions. None of the Hangars (11 Pentad and 22 Fromson) survive at the site but their concrete standings are still visable. Depicted here are representations of the Fromson type hangers created from dimensions in a 1947 survey. I created the model using Google Sketchup and converted it for use in FSX using Model ConverterX. This is my 1st attempt at scenery creation and is therefore pretty basic. There are no known issues and it works fine in FSX.

FlightSim Manager 2.5.1 Download

File Description:
Compatible with both FS2002 and FS2004

FlightSim Manager is a great tool for managing add-ons to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Using easy to Wizard - FSM can install aircraft, panels, textures and scenery directly from distribution ZIP files you may have downloaded, with proper uninstallation of add-ons. From an easy to use Aircraft editor to add or remove aircraft variants, to an comprehensive Hangar management allows you to manage and configure your add-ons off your live FS installation.

You can now create Virtual Fleets, and enable/disable the complete fleet with ease. For serious pilots, FSM also offers a complete Logbook.

Using FSM, you can create Texture Sets - i.e.. different Tree Sets, and you can install any set with a single click, capture screenshots from Flight Simulator, Benchmark with log, launch it with Random Splash Screens, and fly from anywhere in the world using an map view.

You can also control Flight Simulator with speech commands using FSM. It also supports auto-saving flight, warning sytem, and custom event sounds.

Finally with a comprehensive Diagnostic Tools and Repository feature, FSM keeps your FS installation clean. Apart from the usual Missing and unused gauges, FSM can also locate Aircraft problems, Missing and unused effects, Scenery Problems with a LandClass File relocate feature - say bye-bye to all the memory leaks.

MHRO - Juan Manuel Galvez International Airport / Roatan, Honduras (version 1.1) Download

File Description:
MHRO - Juan Manuel Galvez International Airport / Roatan, Honduras (version 1.1) This airport update was made with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made for FSX as a replacement for the stock (default) airport. I found that most stock airports in FSX lack a decent amount of character and realism and this area in particular was dreadful! The stock airport file for Roatan was completely devoid of any life. There were absolutely no parking spots for commercial aircraft and no terminal buildings; the nearby areas of Colonia/Loma Linda were completely barren. I've done major reworking to this airport and added the small terminal building as well as renumbered the runway to the correct designation and length. The nearby town has been rendered complete with a variety of vessels small and large in the ocean. I hope you enjoy. Below is a list of changes/additions. All these enchancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects. I've used satellite images, terminal photos and maps throughout the whole process so building locations are as accurate as possible. Happy landings in Honduras! Features: *Expanded parking apron *Terminal building with parking for commercial traffic (Delta and United fly to Roatan from the US with regular service) *Renumbered runways to correct designations and modified runway length and lighting accurately *Nearby neighborhoods modeled complete with marinas and cruise ship port (cruise ship parked at the pier visible on approach) *Diving, fishing, cargo and recreational vessels visible in the ocean surrounding the airport v1.1 *Several hotels dotting the area near the airport as well as West End/Gibson Bight *Roads with static vehicles near the airport *Corrected taxiway signs v1.1

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (OR-R) 'Nine O Nine' Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G-30-BO 'Nine o nine". Nine-O-Nine was a Boeing B-17G-30-BO Flying Fortress heavy bomber, of the 323rd Bomb Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, that completed 140 combat missions during World War II, believed to be the Eighth Air Force record for most missions, without loss to the crews that flew it. The original aircraft, a block 30 B-17G manufactured by Boeing, was nicknamed after the last three digits of her serial number: 42-31909. Nine-0-Nine was added to the USAAF inventory on December 15, 1943, and flown overseas on February 5, 1944. After depot modifications, she was delivered to the 91st BG at RAF Bassingbourn, England, on February 24, 1944, as a replacement aircraft, one of the last B-17s received in factory-applied camouflage paint. A former navigator of the 91st BG, Marion Havelaar, reported in his history of the group that Nine-O-Nine completed either 126 or 132 consecutive missions without aborting for mechanical reasons, also believed to be a record. M/Sgt. Rollin L. Davis, maintenance line chief of the bomber, received the Bronze Star for his role in achieving the record. Her first bombing raid was on Augsburg, Germany, on February 25, 1944. She made 18 bombing raids on Berlin. In all she flew 1,129 hours and dropped 562,000 pounds of bombs. She had 21 engine changes, four wing panel changes, 15 main gas tank changes, and 18 changes of Tokyo tanks (long-range fuel tanks). After the hostilities ceased in Europe, Nine-O-Nine was returned to the United States on June 8, 1945, and was consigned to the RFC facility at Kingman, Arizona on December 7, 1945, and eventually scrapped. B-17G-85-DL, 44-83575, civil registration N93012, owned and flown by The Collings Foundation, Stow, Massachusetts, flew marked as the historic Nine-O-Nine until its crash on the 2nd of October 2019. RAF East Moor Download

File Description:
RAF East Moor was opened in 1942 and was originally a 4 Group facility and first hosted No. 158 Squadron RAF which had moved from RAF Driffield on 6 June 1942. The squadron flew the Handley Page Halifax Mk. II with detachments at RAF Beaulieu and RAF Manston before moving to RAF Rufforth on 6 November 1942. Royal Canadian Air Force use The first squadron was No. 429 Squadron RCAF which formed at the airfield on 7 November 1942 initially only flying the Vickers Wellington Mk.III until January 1943 when the Wellington Mk. X was added. The squadron left on 13 August 1943 going to RAF Leeming where the unit re-equipped with Halifaxes. On 19 September 1943 the next squadron arrived being 432 Squadron which initially used the Avro Lancaster Mk.II before being re-equipped with the Halifax Mk. III in February 1944 and the Mk. VII Halifax in July 1944. The squadron disbanded on 15 May 1945 at the airfield. The last Canadian squadron to use the airfield was 415 Squadron which flew the Halifax III from 26 July 1944. The unit inherited the additional Mk.VII versions during March 1945 but disbanded shortly after on 15 May 1945 at the airfield. Royal Air Force use Not long after the last Canadian squadron disbanded the airfield was handed back to the Royal Air Force (RAF). The first RAF unit to use the airfield was No. 54 Operational Training Unit (OTU) which had moved in during November 1945 flying the de Havilland Mosquito. By May 1946 No. 288 Squadron RAF joined with their Supermarine Spitfire IX's and their Vultee Vengeance Mk. IV's with a detachment at RAF Acklington. The squadron disbanded on 15 June 1946. No. 54 OTU stayed until June 1946 when the unit moved to RAF Leeming but a detachment stayed until 15 November 1946. The airfield closed to flying in November 1946. Most of the buildings were taken down and the land has reverted largely to agricultural use.

American Airlines Boeing 787-900 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Boeing 787 is one of the most sophisticated aircraft ever designed, and I have worked on several FS models from even before the real aircraft was ever built. I have accumulated so much data relating to this plane that I can now incorporate real world dynamics for it based on extremely realistic information. The aircraft offered here has been modified to offer all of that realism. In the real world, the 787 is flown primarily with autopilot controls, and this model is no different. It doesn't take a lot to fly this plane, and if I were to be offered the challenge I think I'd be up and flying within a few minutes, in a real 787. Because of this, I offer no advise other than normal flight rules. If you are new to FSX, please learn through the on-board tutorials. I am not a tutor. I do not have anything to do with cosmetics. I do not design panels. All I do is help educate you about the realism of aircraft design. You can look at the aircraft.cfg and the .air file (Airfile Editor Required) to see what I've done in comparison to the original model, but I will not really help you with tutorial related issues. If you find something you think is wrong, let me know. Otherwise, enjoy this model and fly her like the real thing. Everything I've done here is for educational purposes without any expectation of any monetary gain, and offered publicly for free. What I offer here is protected by the Fair Use Doctrine of International Copyright Law, and you are free to study this as follows: https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/17/107 All persons involved with this and the original design are credited, unless they are unknown and have offered no credit details. Albany International Airport (KALB) Albany, New York Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This airport was made using Airport Design Editor, Google Sketchup, and Instant Scenery 2. Albany International Airport, Is an airport located near Albany, New York. The airport has scheduled airline flights. Almost all of the buildings are custom made with photo textures to make it closer to real life. At the main terminal, I added more gates and put moving jetways. The gates have assigned parking codes. There is a parking lot next to the terminal full of cars. I put the airport access road in between the parking lot and the terminal. At the southwest ramp, I put hangars and some you can taxi inside of. If you choose to start off from the southwest DOCK gate, You will start off inside the Million Air Aviation FBO. I also put static aircraft on the ramp too. To the northwest, I put the New York Police hangar. You can start off inside this hangar by choosing the Northwest DOCK gate. Taxiing into or starting off inside a hangar will not cause a crash unless you touch the sides. To the Northeast, I put the cargo terminal with trucks. At the cargo section, I put three FedEx Cessna Caravans. I also put the control tower and the buildings. Tower views are from the roof of the control tower. To the southeast, I put small hangars and the Air National Guard Section with UH-60 helicopters. I extended runway 1/19 to the correct length of 8,500 feet. I also put red, blue, green, and purple Cessna 172s in different places around the airport. There will be more objects if your scenery complexity is set to normal (such as jetways, aircraft, and vehicles). This was all made based on Google Earth Imagery and Bing Maps. There are no night textures for the buildings. This will be added in a future version. An installer program is included to install the airport for you. There will be more versions of this that include night textures and static business jets. This is for Flight Simulator X only. By Tyler Lawrence.
