| PAMR - Merrill Field - Anchorage, Alaska |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Merrill Field is in Anchorage Alaska, between Anchorage International to the southwest and and Elmendorf Air Force Base to the north. It caters for general aviation and is the land equivalent of the Lake Hood float plane base (see my post) with fuel and numerous maintenance facilities, and several hundred parking spots for small planes. There are three runways, and the longest is 4,000 feet of 100 feet wide asphalt, the second 2,635 feet of asphalt 75 feet wide, and the third 2,000 feet of 60 feet wide gravel. It is a controlled airfield with a modern control tower. There are almost 50 buildings on the field and three quarters of them have been modeled specifically for this scenery. The download includes a LITE version for older computers as there are a lot of static parked aircraft.

Images related to this file:
File Description:
The Eurofighter is a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft which will be used in the air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles. Developed by Europe¢s leading aerospace companies, Eurofighter Typhoon is now in service with the Air Forces of Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom and will fulfill Air Force requirements well into the 21st Century. Aircraft production is ongoing and with 638 aircraft under contract to the four Partner Nations and Austria, as the first export customer. The design of Eurofighter Typhoon is optimised for air dominance performance with high instantaneous and sustained turn rates, and specific excess power. Special emphasis has been placed on low wing loading, high thrust to weight ratio, excellent all round vision and carefree handling.

Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a Christmas special paint on the posky 737-700 model for FS9 (FS2004). This is a complete aircraft and no other files are required. All textures are in 32 bit format and have been tested in FS9 only. Installing this aircraft into FSX is done at your risk. The night textures for the fuselage have been reworked by myself so the windows now appear of a night and I have created a set of layers which have been applied to the left and right textures for enhanced detail and clarity - NO paint work now covers the windows :) Installation instructions are included in the enclosed ReadMe file. While this is a period specific paint, I trust you will enjoy it for what it is and the meaning behind it, cheers to all and a Merry and Safe Christmas.

| Rockcliffe CYRO update in Ontario, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is Rockcliffe in late 2011, on the day before the old clubhouse was demolished. It is based on the original scenery by Flight Ontario and follows on from my previous updates, but this is a new version rather than an update and REPLACES the previous versions. The difference is in the bespoke detail: runway and taxiway lighting (the taxiway lighting is limited, as in real life, to taxiway C); signage throughout including runways, taxiways, refuelling, and parking; refuelling tanks and pumps; fence visibility strips; updated ground markings for the Rockcliffe Flying Club apron and the runway; revised apron texture in front of the new hangar; smaller items such as trash cans and external electrical distribution box for heating cables. There are also, from previous updates, the new clubhouse, the new maintenance hangar, and from the original scenery the Museum complex.

| Fort Good Hope CZGH - Northwest Territories, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is the second in a series of airfields that follow that early access route to the Canadian northern shore, the Mackenzie River. At the far northern end of the river there are Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik, and Fort McPherson, all posted. Fort Good Hope is at 268 feet ASL and on the east bank of the Mackenzie, 180 miles southeast of Fort McPherson and 100 miles west of Great Bear Lake. The town has a population of around 560, and the main sources of income are from the traditional trapping and hunting. The airport is a mile south of the town, and has almost 4,000 feet of gravel runway. There are scheduled flights to the town by North Wright; I also have two AI GA flights and a Buffalo Airways delivery trip that hops north and south from field to field.

File Description:
Textures for the Lockheed L-049 Constellation by the team Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Manfred Jahn, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne and Stefan Werner. Repaint by Manfred Meyer.
The company Nevada Airmotive bought TWA's L-049 fleet in 1962 for lease and/or resell them. But only fife of the 25 Constellations found new operators .
One of these aircrafts was c/n 2027, built 1945 for TWA, reg. NC86506 and named "Star of Dublin Sky Chief". Sold to Nevada Airmotive in 1962 and leased to ASA Intl. and 1963 to Paradise AL. After Paradise grounded in 1964, the aircraft was stored at Burbank and in 1966 bought by Herman R. "Fish" Salmon, Lockheed's chief test pilot. He founded the "Aerospace Travelers" Travel Cluband and named the Constellation "Rosa". However the aircraft was very seldom used and in 1972/73 scrapped at Burbank.

| Transbrasil 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
In 1998, Transbrasil was the 3rd largest airline in Brazil, but nearing the end of it's life, ceasing operations in 2001. Transbrasil had a decent number of 767s in 1998 flying both around Brazil and to Europe and North America, while 737-300s and 737-400s served the domestic market. Planes had the wings and titles painted in different vivid colors making for good variety, and there was a Futura hybrid 737-400 as well as a new 1998 livery applied to some 737s. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson and Raphael Rodrigues. Repaints by Jonathan Alba included for the FAIB 737-300, 737-400, 767-200, and 767-300. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | Jetplan 767 v6 |
|
File Description:
Compiled from actual 767 performance manuals and load sheets
this MS Excel Spreadsheet allows you to calculate Fuel required
with factored fuel burn for headwind and aircraft weight with respect
to trip distance including alternate. It produces a fully annotated
load sheet with ZFW, TOW and LW clearly indicated.
A Takeoff Card sheet provides Takeoff N1 for Derate 2, Derate 1
and Full Power Takeoffs, together with the balanced field V speeds
for current airfield pressure altitude and temperature.
A Performance Sheet provides Regulated Take-Off Weights (RTOW) for the
following factors:
Field length Weights allowing for runway slope %, wind component
pressure altitude and temperature. The Climb Limit weights give the
limiting weights for the above factors together with packs on/off
and engine and or wing anti-ice applied.
All sheets can be printed.

| Swiss Air Force Hunter Package |
|
File Description:
This is my final package of 21 Swiss Air Force Hunters for Dave Garwoods wonderful model(hunterpak6.zip needed!). The versions show examples of almost every Swiss Hunter Squadron, including rare special schemes like the "Papyrus", winter camo, tiger scheme etc. All external textures were completely redrawn and now show correct Swiss camouflage and stencelling and come in both high resolution and low resolution versions (intended for multiplayer and AI traffic). Also included is an extensive installation manual with infos on every featured aircraft and a screenshot/wallpaper gallery. The Package completely replaces all my previously published packages. Please unpack the folder completely to allow the Manual to work properly and follow the instructions in the provided "Superpack manual.htm" file closely.
Many thanks to Dave Garwood and his team for providing the flightsim community with the superb Hunter!
