Cape_Verde_Mesh

File Description:
To improve performance, FSX updated with SP1 loads DEM files in threads and only the closer terrain (about 10 NM from the point of view) is rendered in high detail, while at far distances FSX shows up its default low resolution mesh, if it is not available a multi-resolution one. This terrain mesh file was multilod compiled from 90m SRTM2 source data, reprocessed with 3DEM to remove voids and spikes, providing a 76.4m (LOD9) horizontal resolution topography intended for use only in FSX updated with SP1. It covers the Cape Verde, a group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, that consist of two small archipelagos, about 400 miles off the western coast of Senegal (Africa), including: Boa Vista, Brava, Maio, Mosteiros, Paul, Praia, Porto Novo, Ribeira Grande, Sal, Santa Catarina, Santa Cruz, Sao Domingos, Sao Filipe, Sao Miguel, Sao Nicolau, Sao Vicente and Tarrafal (Geographic coordinates: 16ºN/24ºW). FSX_MeSA_G08

File Description:
FSX Mesh South America Project: This terrain mesh file is a part of a whole project covering all the Continent of South America and some islands, divided in tiles identified in a map by its column (letters) and rows (numbers). Those files were multi-LOD compiled from 90m SRTM2 source data, reprocessed with 3DEM to remove voids and spikes, providing a 76.4m (LOD9) horizontal resolution topography intended for use only in FSX updated with SP1. New York La Guardia Airport 1959

File Description:
We've produced this scenery to provide new GMAX terminals, taxiways, buildings and details as they were around 1959 for La Guardia airport in New York City (USA). A new terminal was built in the early 1960's, opening in 1964. La Guardia was the major domestic airport in New York City. Other airports included Idlewild (now Kennedy) which handled both domestic and international flights, and Newark (in New Jersey). Jaap created the Pan American 5 sided hangar and Marine Air Terminal, while Tom created the rest. Thanks to Brady Fowler for most of the pictures used in this project.

WOP P-51D Gentleman Jim

File Description:
The 354th were the first of the Mustang Fighter Groups, but they had been assigned to the Ninth Air Force at a time when the Eighth Air Force needed a long-range fighter. So the 357th was to become the first P-51 Mustang Group in the Eighth Air Force, and also they were to move again. This base was to be home for the rest of the war, Station F-373, Leiston Airfield. P-51D 41-4937 was flown by Capt. Jim Browning and was named ‘Gentleman Jim’. Capt. Browning was an original member of the 357th. He was killed on 9th February 1945 in a mid-air collision with an Me- 262 of KG(J)-54. He was flying Glen Zarnke’s ‘Junior Miss’ at the time. Original textures by WOP repaint by Joe Nageotte
