File Description:
Rio de Janeiro V5 for FS2004. This scenery for Rio de Janeiro improves on the default Rio, were MS missed so many landmarks the place didn't
even look like Rio. Most of the major items are now present, and there is an exclusion for the Rio-Niteroi Bridge included in the FS2004 Update, in
case you have the Update installed. Also enhanced is the Jacarepagua Airport (SBJR). The package includes traffic, some commercial, a complete
aircraft and a modification for the 737 to inlcude VARIG's colours. Those two aircraft are used in commuter traffic between Rio and Sao Paulo.
Authors are Newton Drumond (Rio) and Fern Marques (North Bay, Ontario).

After several months of investigations for flight schedules and fleet details, the plans will now be ready for you, Peninsula Airways, usually called PenAir, is an American airline based in Anchorage, Alaska, USA. It is Alaska's largest commuter airline operating an extensive scheduled passenger and cargo services to over 85 communities, as well as charter and medevac services. Its main base is Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, with hubs at Dillingham Airport, Unalaska Airport, King Salmon Airport and Cold Bay Airport.
In this Package you will find all necessary files to put the entire fleet and Flightplans in your Flightsim. Please read The Readme-PDF carefully to avoid problems by running PenAir.
Watch out for the aurora borealis. :-)

File Description:
This is an update of our previous released Package. This package contains the missing Texture for the Saab340 N364PX, a replacement of the Metroliner III N892DC instead of the N650PA. The N650PA made a very hard landing last year and has some structural damages so the N892DC will be a replacement in the PenAir fleet. I have also added a detailed Readme made by Rene for the installing of the Grumman Goose by Bill Lyons And the AFCAD's by Renè Tanggaard. FS2004/FSX Green Panel Conversion. This package converts the gray Cal Classic DC-7/7B/7C panel by Ken Mitchell and Tom Gibson into a dark green version. This panel REQUIRES the original DC-7 panel, available by downloading and installing the United DC-7 at: http://www.calclassic.com/dc7.htm When the Historical Flight Foundation asked Cal Classic (www.calclassic.com) to create an FS version of their newly restored Eastern Douglas DC-7B N836D, Eric repainted his existing EAL DC-7B into an exact replica of their plane (available here as eal_dc7b_n836d_final.zip). But one thing that wasn't done originally was to replicate the dark green cockpit of the plane. This package has been created to do that. Quite a few other DC-7's, DC-7B's, and DC-7C's had dark green panels as well.

Exploring Our World - Part 2 - Easter Island, Chile. In part two of this new series you will find a complete makeover of Easter Island which MS virtually ignored. Designed to compliment the fine Mataveri International Airport by Daniel Rojas (scip_o7.zip at Flightsim.com), this package includes Mesh and adjusted coastlines by John Young. John has also provided a new Afcad which removes unrealistic pushback starts. A new landclass file by John Burford adds the villages near the airport and more realistic ground treatments. You will also find numerous scenery enhancements using objects from the RWY12 and EZ Scenery libraries. Francisco Vargas has contributed a set of Thermals which soaring fans will enjoy. Of special interest is the use of AI Volkswagens, as taxi's driving around the airport and AI Helicopters that take visiting tourists on sightseeing tours. The AI Volkswagens have been provided by Ranier Girbig and are used with his permission. Easter Island, home of the mysterious head statues (Moai) has many new and exciting things just waiting for you to explore. Even the small adjacent Moto Nui Island, which MS forgot, has been added. This is the second of a series exploring lesser known parts of our FS world.
