Collings and Mansfield

File Description:
FS2004 Scenery - In 1979 the Collings Foundation was founded to support "living history" events involving transportation. Originally founded with the focus of automobiles, the foundation moved to aircraft as the need for quality aviation history exhibits grew. Mansfield Municipal Airport (1B9) serves Mansfield and Bristol County, MA and is owned by the Town Of Mansfield. The airport has more than one runway. The longest is a paved runway extending 3498 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 122 feet. Created using Instant Scenery by John B. Loney, Jr.

Flags and Signs

File Description:
This package provides a little collection of flags and signs for scenery designers for FSX. The models have been developed with GMAX. Along with the textures the package includes the mdl files, and the XML files for the individual placement of the objects into a scenery. The bgl files are included as well. The documentation (see pdf file in the ZIP) contains a step by step description on how to place the objects into the FSX scenery. A gauge for a proper positioning of the objects is part of the package. CREDIT goes to: Bob Familton for spending his time on review the package and the documentation. P-51D LC-N "June Nite"

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D 44-11161 LC-N "June Nite", which was flown by Capt. Ernest C. Fiebelkorn of the 77th Fighter Squadron, 20th Fighter Group. A native of Lake Orion, Michigan,(Born: 12 December, 1922) Ernest Charles Fiebelkorn was one of the largest fighter pilots to see action in the E.T.O. At 6'4" and 225 pounds, he had a difficult time getting himself into the cockpit of his P-51D Serial #44-11161 Squadron Code LC-N, "June Nite" (named for his wife). Repaint by Jan kees Blom, based on the paintkit by John Terrell.

FS Nav 4.6 Crete

File Description:
This file is an FS Navigator 4.6 flight plan which will produce a very nice guided tour of the island of Crete. It it has been written with the specific intention of showing off the highlights of Jacques Sylvain's beautiful Crete 2004 scenery. Some of these can be a little difficult to find: my flight plan will automatically take you on the following route, optimising the altitude for best views as you go: Sitia airport - Ierapetra (south coast) - Lasithi Plain (with windmills) - Knossos Palace - Herakleion airport & Harbour - Mount Idi (birthplace of Zeus!) - Rethymnon Harbour - Chania Harbour - Souda (Chania) airport. Take off, engage FSNav and the autopilot, then sit back and enjoy Jacques Sylvain's scenery......

Westward repaint of Flight1 PC-12

File Description:
This is my first attempt at a actual repaint of a real airplane. It came out rather good if I say so myself. It is still a learning process. Request for repaints should go to http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=11356&PN=1 There are a few people doing them now, so hopefully one of us should be able to do it. Just keep in mine it does take some time to do the more difficult ones. Lines and number changes on a white plane can be done faster... This is a reworked version. The first one had a small painting eror on it. Just reistall it and it will over right the old one..

VoiceBot profile for the Locheed 1049 Super Constellation for FS9 by Manfred Jahn and team.

File Description:
This file is for use with the Speech Recognition program VoiceBot. The free version will allow you to carry out commands such as raising the gear, lowering the flaps and turning on various lights; the very reasonably priced payware version adds Text to Speech and allows the creation of a full flight crew, with co-pilot, flight engineer (very important in a propliner) and flight attendants. It must be emphasised that this file will not work as is, but will need quite a lot of modification before it will operate on your system and your installation of FS9. However, VoiceBot is not a difficult application to learn, and there is a good help file. Also, you can, of course, and without great difficulty, create a similar profile for absolutely any aircraft you want.

WA17 Majerle STOLport 2.0

File Description: The default version of Majerle Field in Duvall, WA in MSFS has some tall trees at the end of the runway that weren’t really there when the STOLport was open, which make it unrealistically difficult to use. (The airport's closed in the real world because the new owner stopped mowing the runway.) If you'd like to check out Washington State's beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, or just practice your short-field takeoffs and landings in a beautiful area, I’ve cleaned up the excess foliage, mowed the runway, added a little more activity around the airport, and thrown in an easter egg or two. Release 2.0 is compiled with SDK 0.12.0.0, replaces one of the airport buildings, fixes the windsock direction, and had multiple smaller tweaks.
