Tips and Tricks Number 21 - April 2006 Edition. This issue includes a brief introduction to online flying with a partner, as well as several new ideas to enhance your flying experience. Of special interest is a segment which explains how to make a backup DVD FS2004 installation disk, plus several other useful ideas and links to helpful utilities. Included is the popular "From the E-Mail Bag" department which answers a question of general interest and a section describing an aircraft of Historical interest. There is even a Tip or two to help improve your relationship with the one who thinks you spend far too much time "flying". An updated index, by John Burford, for the entire series, in .pdf format is included. As usual, I have attempted to provide something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. File Description:
Reduced Volume FPDA Altitude Callouts. This is a set of altitude callouts (400 to 10 feet) which have been re-recorded at 10 decibels less than the original callout .wav files. They are designed to be used with altitude_callout.zip which is available here at Avsim.com. These reduced volume .wavs will bring the altitude callouts more in line with other sounds you hear while flying and upon approach. Dallas, Texas is the home of Southwest Airlines - one of the most profitable airlines in the country. This package has flight plans for all major Southwest regional destinations including Austin, TX., Amarillo, TX, Corpus Christi, TX, El Paso, TX, Harligen, TX, Houston (Hobby Airport) TX, Little Rock, AK, Lubbock, TX, Midland-Odessa, TX, New Orleans, LA, Oklahoma City, OK and San Antonio, TX. Plans were compiled using FSNavigator Ver 4.60. Plans in text and GPS format are also included. Check the readme file for recommended Boeing 737 aircraft.
