File Description:
Tieton Flying Club - 4S6 in Rimrock, Washington. The default 4S6 airport enhanced using the RWY12 program. This airport is now the "home base" of the Tieton Flying Club. You can visit them at www.tietonflyingclub.bravehost.com. RWY12 program is NOT required for this scenery - all required files are included in this package. Unzip to a temporary folder (using folder option) and follow the simple installation instructions. Tested in FS2004 only. Compiled by David "Opa" Marshall.

Tips and Tricks - Number 7. This issue contains some VERY important information for anyone who "collects" scenery as well as an explanation of an error message we see from time to time. For anyone wanting to learn more about the use of "mesh", an excellent resource link is listed. Reducing FSX Traffic speed - an Illustrated tutorial
One of the more "interesting" enhancements which Microsoft introduced in FSX is the vehicle traffic which can be seen on the highways around larger cities and airports. However many simmers feel the speed at which these vehicles travel is considerably too fast and therefore quite unrealistic. One simmer has even commented that he cannot overtake many vehicles when flying low and slow in the default Cessna.
It is quite easy to edit the speeds of such vehicles and the process has been documented in at least one forum post. However I thought it might be useful - especially for those not accustomed to working with command line interfaces - to have a tutorial available which illustrates each step.

Marine One at The White House. This small scenery package places the Marine One Helicopter at The White House and optionally at Andrews Air Force Base - waiting to transport the President. Setups are included for the default FS2004 scenery and for those using the MAIW enhancement of Andrews AFB. All files are included. Helicopter model by D.Hardcastle with textures by Christopher Baird and Dallas Mullen.
The Marine One Helicopter is an "almost static" display. See instructions for further details regarding this procedure. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the installation instructions. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

UPDATE for Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. I just discovered that I failed to include instructions in the original documentation which will allow the user to choose two other display options. This update (a short text file) will explain how to easily change the display to one of three slightly different versions. I apologize for the oversight. The installation of the original package - Digital_Compass.zip - is required.

UPDATE 2 for Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. In response to several requests, I have added code to the mag_compass.CAB file which will allow the Compass face to be lighted at night when cockpit lights are on. As this file contains only the replacement.cab file, no editing of any panel.cfg files where you have installed the Compass with Digital display is required. The installation of the original package - Digital_Compass.zip - is necessary. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions.
