| P-51D 52nd FG QP-U "Hey Rube! IV" |
|
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A/Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang, representing 44-14227 "Hey Rube! IV", which flew with the 2nd FS/ 52nd FG from Madna, Italy in july 1944, with Captain Daniel Zoerb as its assigned pilot. Zoerb played in a carnival band before the war, and the expression "Hey Rube!" was used to indicate that trouble was about to break out. This aircraft ended up in Rumania. During an escort mission on 8 september 1944, to pick up some American POW's with a B17, Capt Zoerb lost power over Bucharest airfield and made a very hard landing, buckling the wings. He stayed overnight with the Rumanian pilots and was treated to a real feast: Sheep's head soup! The next day, he flew back in a B17. He finished his combat tour a major with seven kills and as CO of the squadron.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell. It should work in both FSX and FS9.

Boeing 747-200 in Continental Airlines' newest livery. This FSDS aircraft model, by Hiroshi Igami & Mitsushi Yutaka of Project Open Sky, has a 48-sided based Variable Sided Fuselage (POSKY Original Technique), fully animated spoilers, elevators, rudders, flaps, ailerons, thrust reversers, and engine fan blades. It also includes highly detailed night lighting, with flashing beacons, strobes, and other lights along with night textures plus transparent cockpit windows with 3D pilots. Flight Dynamics (FDE) by Warren C. Daniel, 747 data and FDE advice given by Simon Ng Hin Tat. Aircraft and FDE tested by Project Open Sky members, master textures by C. Vincent Cho & Gary Hayes. These textures here are an adaptation of my Continental 747-400 NC (Newest Livery) textures, modified to fit the 747-200 model. These aircraft textures are very accurate and include several photorealistic parts. They are based on a former Continental 742, N18025, which sadly, is now sitting out in the desert rotting.

| Sunmod V2 |
|
File Description:
The biggest change from Sunmod to Sunmod V2 is the fact that I have decided to drop the version with a lensflare. The main reason for this is that the primary objective of this new version was to create a brighter more realistic sun for FS, and FS didn't display this very well and basically I was forced to drop the Lensflare version. And on the other hand how many times have you seen a lensflare looking at the sun directly instead of using photo or videocameras?

File Description:
After trying loads of water packages, all excellent
in there own right, taking the best bits from various sources and also re-editing the water textures, we came up with a mix we think is a great balance of texture and colour resulting in what we think is
a true and more realistic seascape. Hope you agree and enjoy.

| FS2002 Val-U-Prop Plane and Panel |
|
File Description:
FS2002 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-3 Plane and Panel
Val-U-Prop is a (fictional) rogue airline based in Bloomington, Indiana, that flies everything from VIPs to sheep manure anyplace and anytime. VP's motto is "No job too small; No fee too large," and our DC-3's and DC-6's can be seen hedge-hopping into various obscure airports throughout the USA. Based on the lovely DC-3 Pluna by Daniel Gazzano, this aircraft is a re-paint of the fabulous DC-3 OH-LCH by Jan Visser, Erik Ellis, Roy Chaffin, Ian Roper and Bill Rambow, to which FS2002 lights have been added. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS, so there is no tabbing. (Default pop-up radio stack is also included.) Panel is based on photographs by Bill Blanchard (lower panel) and Shawn Clark (upper). The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Andre Hjelmen, and the 1930s cabin was photographed by Ben Wang and is populated with various VIPs. All of this brought to you by Val-U-Prop - where WE VAL-U-YOU! By James Underwood
