File Description: Old base used by the US Navy since the WWII, and, with the name LORAN by the USCG since the early 1960s up to 1992. Now, all buildings had been removed. With one NDB (KUre 316.0) activated in the 60's. The buildings are positioned as in reality but are not identical in shape. By Jean-Jacques Parel. Built with ADE.

File Description:
The island of Capraia N43.3.2 E9.50.13 is located in the Corsica Channel (arm of the sea on the border between the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea), and is an island of volcanic origin, the third largest in the Tuscan Archipelago. It has high and rocky coasts with no beaches (sometimes in the Cala della Mortola there is a small sandy beach [5]) and a small lake basin (called Stagnone or Laghetto [6]) in the most mountainous area, with peaks along a central chain Anticamente called Aigylion Greeks and then Capraria from the Romans, the name derives from the presence of wild goats on the island, but according to another hypothesis the toponym derives from a Mediterranean theme * karpa with the meaning of «rock». It was certainly an Etruscan landing place like the other Tyrrhenian islands in the 7th century, becoming a pirate base when it was occupied by the Romans.Important VFR point for approaching fron Nord airport Isola d'Elba. The Christen Eagle freeware model produced by the Long Island Classics team is fast becoming a cult flyer for the sheer fun factor. This paint is a fictional skin depicting an Eagle I would love to have . Thanks to the paintkit provided by the LIC team, this repaint also includes changed interiors, including the pilot! (It's me!). As an extra bonus, I have included a couple of lines to change the standard single smoke trail to a twin smoke trail - see the readme for details. You must have the LIC Christen eagle installed for this repaint to work.

Islip Long Island MacArthur Airport (KISP) Main Terminal

File Description:
Flight Simulator 2004 Main terminal scenery for Islip Long Island MacArthur Airport (KISP). I have tried to as accurately recreate the main terminal at KISP according to my personal experience working there for a number of years, and from images I was able to find on the web. This is just a starting point, and anyone who wants to take my GMAX source to the next level PLEASE DO SO! I am not an expert in GMAX, and I believe it would be great to add animation to the gates for realism. Please also check out my AFCAD file that accurately represents the current and historical gate assignments as well. The filename is 'AF2_KISP.zip'.

Ketchikan and Annette Island, Southeast Alaska Background Bitmaps

File Description:
This package DOES NOT contain finished FS scenery products! Instead, the three bitmaps (N54.3-55.4 W130.6-131.9) are meant to be used for FS landscape scenery design with Ground2K4 (by Christian Fumey) or similar utilities. Source data are public domain Landsat 7 TM satellite images, at 15-m and 30-m ground resolution. I used professional GIS software for the geographic transformation to lat/long-WGS84 projection, and photo processing software for channel merging and image enhancements. Each image has been tested in Ground2K4 for accurate placement. Note: these images have been ECW-compressed and need special (free) software for decompressing (instructions included).
