FSX Handley Page HP81 Hermes Ver 2.0. The HP81 Hermes was a British airliner from 1948, used by BOAC for its African routes in the early 1950s, and then by various charter companies for the next 10 years. Five variants are included here: BOAC (early and late), Airwork, Air Safaris and Skyways. Version 2.0 for FSX, FS2004 users should download Hermes_V20.zip instead. By Jens B. Kristensen.

Textures only, model file can be downloaded from the CBFSIM library @ http://www.cbfsim.co.uk, along with many examples of british manufactured aircraft for FS9 and FSX.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Classics Hangar FW190D / TA152 package, in the colors of WkNr 150168, originally 'green 9' with JG301, which was captured by the British Army, and used for flight testing by Eric 'Winkle' Brown at Farnborough. The aircraft was exhibited with other captured aircraft in 1946 and later scrapped. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the blank textures by Classics Hangar.

This particular aircraft, OO-DWD, holds the distinction of being the final example of the BAe 146/Avro family in Belgian service, operating its last scheduled flight, SN2720 from Geneva to Brussels, on 28 October 2017. Repaint by Craig West, using the paint kit kindly supplied by Just Flight.

File Description:
These files are a revision of the default Vancouver Island shorelines and landclass textures from Chemainus to Campbell River, British Columbia. Included are the islands from the Southern Gulf Islands to Texada Island and inland to Cowichan Lake. Most of the smaller lakes within 20 km of the shoreline have been redrawn as well. In this version shorelines have been revised to match Jon Patch & Holger Sandman's vicenh05.zip. As well major corrections for the shorelines in LOD5 area 117-114, Comox, have been made so that the shorelines now conform to the 38.2m mesh and to Vern Opperman's CFB - Comox version 042. Shoreline types are changed to look more like the Pacific Northwest courtesy of Holger Sandman's who made his shoreline textures for vicenh05 available. Also in this version no roads are included since complete British Columbia roads in bcroadsys.zip are now available.

File Description:
Flagship Isle of Skye was the first of an order for three new BAC One-Eleven 509EW to be delivered in March/April 1969. The three aircraft, joined a year later by a fourth, spent only eighteen months as a small fleet before Caledonian became Britains second force airline overnight. In October 1970 Caledonian took control of the main operation of British United. Renamed Caledonian//BUA the four One-Elevens were joined by the ex BUA One-Eleven 200's and 500 machines supplimented by four VC 10's joining Caledonians fleet of Boeing 707's on long range routes. After a couple of years the airline took up the name British Caledonian. The original Caledonian One-Eleven fleet were sold off in the mid seventies, this one going to Dan Air in October 1975. File Description:
This is my first sojourn into scenery objects and was prompted by the need of an object which was not available. In the end that led to me in to that one and doing other objects for fun and so here is my first library for my fellow simmers to use and I hope to enjoy. Feedback is always welcome.
However, I would not be publishing anything at all if wasn't for the help and advice I received from the walking encyclopaedia that is Mr Peter Broom so thank you Peter for testing all my models.
In addition; it would be remis of me not to mention the author’s and their books that I referenced to ensure I got my models reasonably accurate, British Military Airfield Architecture by Paul Francis and Graham Buchan Innes and his British Airfield Buildings Vols 1 & 2.
