| KOIN TV Chopper Six 1980 Version. |
|
File Description:
This repaint depicts the scheme that Portland, OR, television station KOIN TV used on their helicopter back in 1980. It is based off of several photographs of the real helicopter found in a book about Mount St. Helens which was written by the KOIN TV "Newsroom 6 -(which was what KOIN called their newscasts at the time)" staff. The book is titled "Mt. St. Helens: The Volcano Explodes" and was published by KOIN TV shortly after its devastating May 18, 1980 eruption. This repaint requires Owen Hewitt's Bell 206B JetRanger III and best fits the base model, as chin cameras did not exist at the time this paint scheme was used.

| BOAC - Southampton to Johannesburg by Short Solent - 1949 |
|
File Description:
On the 4th. May 1949 BOAC introduced Short Solent flying boats to Southampton-Johannesburg service.
These new 'boats replaced the Hythe-class aircraft used since the War but they were destined to only serve for about a year before flying boats were withdrawn from the South African service completely. The route, which took four-and-a-half days to complete, was Southampton - Augusta (Sicily) - Cairo - Luxor - Khartoum - Port Bell (on the northern extremity of Lake Victoria, in Uganda) - Victoria Falls and then Vaaldam (or "Vaal Dam"), a large lake approx. 40 miles south of Johannesburg. Readme included. (One additional file is required - vicfalls.zip, by Holger Sandmann - available right here on Avsim.com.)

| AS365 Dauphin Repaint |
|
File Description:
This is a repaint of Antti Pankkonen's AS365N3 Dauphin in the modern Air Logistics L.L.C. colors. Air Logistics L.L.C. is the worlds largest Offshore taxi service and has been in service since the early 1970's and are based out of Lafayette Louisiana USA. Their fleet includes Bell 206B3s,206Ls,407s,212s,412s and 214STs, Eurocopter EC-120Bs and BO-105, Sikorsky S76s and S61s. They do not fly the AS365s but if they did this is what they would look like. This is my first repaint ever and I also included reflective colors. I hope you enjoy it. You will need Antti Pakkonen's AS365N3 Dapfin for this repaint!

| RAF Hutton Cranswick |
|
File Description:
RAF Hutton Cranswick opened in January 1942 as a fighter airfield within No. 12 Group RAF. Unusually for the time its three runways were concrete "from new", many airfields (particularly fighter airfields) were initially built with grass runways which were later upgraded to concrete.
Many squadrons rotated through the airfield including 610, 19, 308 (City of Kraków), 316 (City of Warsaw), 195, 306 (City of Torun), 302 (City of Poznan), 315 (City of Deblin), 234, 168 and No. 170 Squadron RAF. From December 1943, the Anti-Aircraft Co-operation 291 Squadron was formed at the airfield for target towing and similar uses.
Whilst in use by 291 other fighter squadrons continued to rotate through including 401, 403, 412, 441, 442, 443 (all flying Supermarine Spitfires) and 439 using Hawker Typhoons. The final unit to operate from Hutton Cranswick was No. 124 Squadron RAF using Spitfire IXs.
The station closed in 1946 and has reverted back to farm land, an industrial site now stands were the tech site was situated and the tower became a house.

| Missing Texture message Bell206B |
|
File Description:
There have been a report of an FS9 messages popping up requesting the texture "Bell 206B" to be added to the a scenery texture folder; unfortunately I was not told which scenery. This is probably to do with my transfer of all FS9 files from one laptop that had died to a new one. Presumably "all" wasn't quite what I achieved.
Please do NOT leave a message attached to the scenery posting! Email me for something like this.
If you get the message put this folder in the texture folder of whichever scenery you are directed to. I stress that I mean "THE FOLDER" and not just the contents of the folder.

| Turbine Helicopter SFC Gauge |
|
File Description: Useful only for flight dynamics developers; not for end users.
Turbine helicopters in FS2004 and FSX which are based on the Bell 206B flight
model are limited to a single SFC (Specific Fuel Consumption), one engine, and a
maximum fuel flow of 247 PPH, no matter the helicopter model. This gauge uses
the Doug Dawson fuel dump gauge (included) to dump extra fuel to simulate the
greater fuel requirements of larger helicopters, and can vary the apparent SFC
with HP. Requires development of matching flight dynamics and fuel tank
arrangements. Also requires XML gauge editing (engine data entry) and recoding
any fuel flow gauges. Thanks to Doug Dawson for the fuel dump gauge.

| Landsberg-Airbase |
|
File Description:
This AI-Package contains several beautiful airplanes: Bell-UH1D, Hamburger
Flugzeugbau: C-160 Transall, Heinkel: He-111C, Lockheed: T-33A T-Bird,
Martin: B-26 Marauder, Nord Aviation: ND2501 Noratlas and last not least the
North American: Harvard Mk.41 T-6.
Most of these aircraft perform "Touch and Goes" in the local traffic pattern
at Landsberg-Airbase per attached flightplan and some C-160 Transall go IFR to
Hohn (ETNH, homebase of LTG63), Wunstorf (ETNW, homebase of LTG62), to Sarajewo
(LQSA) and Pristina (LYPR).
All the attached outstanding airplanes have been created by well known designers
(see briefing). My part was just to put them together and to generate an almost
reasonable AI-Flightplan.

File Description:
This is the FS2004 F-136B Orbital Defense Interceptor concept jet fighter, capable of Hyper Mach speeds and space flight capabilities, circa 2014. This concept is based on hybrid engines that convert to rocket propulsion via a closing 'iris' system that creates a rocket engine 'bell'. This model features functioning spoilerons, vectored thrust elevator structures, opening hatch, opening ordinance bombays, retracting slow flight wings, custom panel, VC illuminated instrumentation, appearing wheel chalks and ladder, extending Hyper Mach propulsion fuel nozzles, 'Viewpoint Smart Mirroring Invisibility' camouflage system, Mach 4.57 speeds, a second optional airfile that is 'less powerful', and comprehensive manual for flight instruction of this elaborate concept bird. Features Kirk Olsons sound pack. Modeled in Gmax. By William Ortis, Lionheart Creations.
