This scenery package contains the major airports for the Pacific Islands, China, and the Asian portion of the Pacific Rim as they were circa 1962, based upon material and photographs Mike has gathered. Major airports have been detailed with custom GMAX objects, and many other smaller airports/strips have been backdated by providing parking spots, correcting runway lengths, and removing the irritating strobes, taxi lines, and other features that did not normally exist during the 1950s and early 1960s. Cities/countries/islands covered include Fiji, Polynesia, Guam, Midway, Taipei, Korea, Philippines, New Guinea, China, and North Korea, among many others. Much of the rest of Asia has been already been covered by the Indochina 1962 scenery package, and is required for this package as well.

| 1963 Tijuana Airport Scenery |

File Description:
This scenery represents the airport of Tijuana, Mexico, the world's leading tourist attraction, circa 1963. In 1959, Rodriguez Field, as the airport was then known, was served by Transmar de Cortez, Aeronaves de Mexico, and Mexicana. By 1963, the Mexican government had ousted Mexicana from serving Tijuana, and Aeronaves de Mexico had merged with Transmar de Cortez. The Bristol Britannia was the largest equipment serving Rodriguez Field at this time. Aeronaves had a DC-6 service to Los Angeles, making this truly an international airport. For connections to the rest of the world, it meant making the long flight down to Mexico City and then connecting. By the late 1960s Aeronaves de Mexico had DC-8 fanjets in and out of Tijuana.

One of the major problems installing scenery is that you have to search for, download, and install all the various third party scenery libraries used in the airport scenery. This package is designed to make this much easier. It contains almost all of the addon scenery libraries required for classic era airport scenery (1950's and 1960's). Canlaon Volcano is located at the center of Negros Island,Philippines.The twin-peaked massif of Canlaon Volcano (aka Mt. Kanlaon) rises 2,465 meters above the island of Negros just 40-km southwest of the capital Bacolod.This file will add the crater to Canlaon Volcano and will enhance the Landclass surrounding the crater.The crater is real with water.This also adds Visual Effects such as steam,volcanic ashes and lava that will erupt every now and then.Ash falls will fall in the vulnerable surrounding villages of Pula, Malaiba, and Lumanao.The last volcanic activity of Canlaon Volcano recorded by Phivolcs was on June 1-18,2003.
Fly from Bacolod City(RPVB)to Tagbilaran City(RPVT)or Mactan(RPVM) and pass through the highest point of the Island of Negros and behold the beauty of the Canlaon Volcano eruption.
Special steam,ash,and lava effects are visible at daytime and at nighttime.The new Philippine Mesh by Jacques Marie is recommended for achieving realistic topography.You may find it here at avsim,too.

This is version 1.3.7 and contains the latest command line and GUI versions. 1.3.7 allows the optional extraction of model files and automatically identifies the compiler version (FS9 or FSX) used to create the file and produces XML to match that compiler.
Uses the most up to date decompiling engine available.
