File Description:
Dimensionally identical to the first-generation Constellation (L-049), the
post-war 749 had more powerful engines, additional fuel tanks, strengthened
landing gear, and much improved performance. Equally good for shuttle hops
and long-range flights, L-749 Connies entered service with major 1950s
carriers such as Eastern, TWA, B.O.A.C., Air France, KLM, Quantas, and many
others. Another customer was the Air Force, which placed an order for ten
aircraft (designated C-121A) in 1948.
Included in this sim package are seven
models and five textures, covering variants with and without "Speedpak"
cargo pannier, weather radar, and "jetstack" exhausts. KLM texture by Jaap
de Baare (representing "Flevoland", the last 749 in flying condition today).
TWA texture N6003C "Star of America" by Hans Herrmann. EAL, Air France, and
MATS textures by Manfred Jahn (including "8609", a frequent visitor to
airshows all over the world until 2005). Panel textures and additional
gauges by Diego S. Barreto, model and VC by Manfred Jahn, panels, gauges,
and animations by Hansjoerg Naegele, flight dynamics by Luis Pallas,
wingview angles, lights, and exhaust effects by Bill Tyne and Roland Berger,
checklist and documentation by Volker Boehme, flight test and handling
research by Stefan Werner. The 749 project has been hosted by Tom Gibson's

| Su-34 (Su-27IB) Fighter Bomber |

File Description:
The Su-34 (also known as Su-27IB) fighter bomber has been developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau Joint Stock Company in Moscow and the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association at Novosibirsk in Russia. First deliveries of the fighter bomber are expected to begin in 2005 and it is planned as a replacement for Su-24 and Su-25 aircraft. Su-34 is one of a number of Russian aircraft (Su-27, Su-30, Su-33 and Su-35) which have been given the NATO codename Flanker. The Su-34 fighter bomber is a derivative of the Su-27 fighter aircraft. The aircraft design retains the basic layout and construction of the Su-27 airframe, with a conventional high-wing configuration and a substantial part of the onboard equipment. The Su-34 has a changed contour of the nose section to accommodate an advanced multi-mode phased array radar with terrain following and terrain avoidance modes. It has a two-seat rather than single-seat cockpit. The capacity of the internal fuel tanks has been increased with a resulting increased take-off weight. Changes have been made to the central tail boom for a rear-facing radar. This model of the Su-34 for X-Plane version 6.30 includes two air-to-air missile types, the R-27, and R-73. Once downloaded, install the missiles into your weapons folder.

(Update 1 - 19 December 2005) Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture setsthat I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together
a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. | KPHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport |

File Description:
This is an AFCAD2 for the default Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. My most accurate AFCAD yet. I was able to use the jetway shadows and others objects on the default land mass to accurately place each gate in the exact real life position they were when the photograph was taken. I utilized other satellite images and many photos from airliners.net to help verify exact gate and airline locations. Only difference here unfortuantely is there are no jetways, only jetway shadows. Maybe someone can make some jetways for this KPHX? 99.9% of all gates at the real airport are present in this AFCAD, and properly numbered. I've also included the cargo and military ramp, America West and Southwest maintenance parking, as well as added a few GA gates for you civil flyers. This AFCAD is roughly as of March 2005, so parts of Taxiway Echo near Terminal 4-D are closed and under construction in the AFCAD. I've closed 8/26 for takeoffs and used it with 7R/25L for landings. 7L/25R will be used as the primary takeoff runway. I think that covers everything. If you have time, select the Top-Down view in your sim, and you can see all the jetways from the land mass lined up with each aircraft. Kinda cool, enjoy! :) If there are any errors, let me know. | Rae Lakes CYRA at Gameti in the Northwest Territories, Canada |

File Description:
Gameti is a village in the Northwest Territories, around 65 miles north of Whati which was recently posted. Until 2005 the village, which has a population of around 280, was known as Rae Lakes and the airfield is now renamed Gameti/Rae Lakes as shown in the 2010 version of the Nav Canada Flight Supplement, my standard reference year. Permanent settlement was established there in 1965. There is no all-weather road access and the village is reliant upon the airfield for supplies, along with an ice road in the winter months. The airfield is a mile or so east of the village, with a lit gravel runway of just over 3,000 feet aligned 14-32 and with PAPI at both ends. The airfield is served by Air Tindi from Yellowknife on an almost daily basis, included in the AI here along with some GA and a Friday delivery by a Buffalo DC3 that uses all of the runway. The runway has lake water at each end, ready for the unwary. A note here about my scenery making. There will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes, plus I expect to move on from FS9 at some point during next year.

File Description:
Bamako Senou International Airport (IATA: BKO, ICAO: GABS) is Malis main airport approximately 15 km south of downtown Bamako, the capital of Mali in West Africa. It is managed by Aeroports du Mali (ADM). Its operations are overseen
by the Malian Ministry of Equipment and Transports. Senou Airport was opened to traffic in 1974. The airport was upgraded between 2007 and 2012 in a 181 million US dollar project funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a United
States foreign aid agency. Passenger traffic steadily increased in the early 2000s. Government figures show 403,380 passengers in 1999, 423,506 in 2003, 486,526 in 2004, and 516,000 in 2005. It is predicted to reach over 900,000 by 2015
under a low (4%) yearly growth rate scenario.
To date this growth rate has been surpassed. Total air traffic at BKO increased by 12.4% in 2007 and 14% in 2008. Most of this increase came in passenger transport, with the number of passengers served increasing by 20% in 2007 and 17%
in 2008. Twenty-seven airline carriers operated weekly or better at BKO in the 2007-2008 period. This continued growth was offset by cargo flights decline of 16.75% in 2007, and 3.93% in 2008.
The highest frequency route is on the Bamako-Dakar sector with 29 weekly non-stop connections. Domestic flights also serve Mali's regional capitals Kayes, Mopti, Timbuktu, Sikasso, Gao, and Kidal.

General Electric CF6-80 v2 soundpack simulating the engine type fitted on the Boeing 767.
This is a quite major rebuild of the first Boeing 767 GE soundpack I made in February 2005. I've spent a lot of time tweaking and listening to how the the engines spool-up and I think the results are quite pleasing. Soundset is matched with the flight dynamics engine to make flying a lot more enjoyble. Instead of taking off with 100% thrust to really hear the turbofan and letting the speed rocket up to 240 in seconds and then have to decrease the thrust to 30% to not pass 250knots, you now can take-off with 85-90% of thrust, make a very smooth take-off roll and controlled climb. A recommended N1 setting (thrust) is 85-90% for take-off! New features in this set: Matched to use with the Project OpenSky Boeing 767v4 family flight dynamics engine exclusively (this pack might not work correctly with other 767 planes), New spool and turbofan sound for the interior as well as the exterior, New cockpit environment, Cockpit environment can now be turned off when pushing the "Battery on/off" button (for those panels fitted with these), New interior and exterior APU (These sound kicks in when engines are turned off).
