Basler BT-67 repaint textures for Royal Thai Air Force 46-158 in a subdued bluish-gray livery Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FSX Basler BT-67 repaint textures for the real world Royal Thai Air Force 46-158. For the wonderful Jahn-Fuernkaess-Metzger-Naegele BT-67, which you must have previously installed in FSX. Having worn at least three different liveries between 2004 and 2010 while in service with the Royal Thai Air Force, this subdued dark bluish-gray version of 46-158 dates back to Aug. 26, 2004, the day the photo that this repaint was based on was taken. Although painted as close to the photograph's colors as my previous eye surgeries allow me to perceive, I'm tending to believe that the aircraft is actually more gray than blue. Anyway, the photo can be seen at Airliners.net by entering the photographer's name, Sakpinit Promthep, into their search engine, so you be the judge! Rumor has it that this airframe currently resides in pieces in a hangar at Wittman Regional in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and now affectionately goes by the nickname "44 mag", although I think I'd have to see that with my own eyes to believe it! Includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates for all four exhaust stacks for those of you who like smokey engines. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. By Tom Tiedman

RAF Middleton St. George Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Representative scenery of RAF Middleton St. George in County Durham.

The airfield began its life as Royal Air Force Station Goosepool, and in 1941 became RAF Middleton St. George. The aerodrome opened as a Bomber Command station in 1941. In 1943 it was allocated to No. 6 Group, Royal Canadian Air Force. A sub-station was located at RAF Croft, Yorkshire. Squadrons based here include: 76 Squadron, which flew Halifaxes, 78 Squadron, which flew Whitleys, 419 Squadron RCAF, which flew Wellingtons, Halifaxes, and Lancasters, 420 Squadron RCAF, which flew Wellingtons, and 428 Squadron RCAF, which flew Wellingtons, Halifaxes, and Lancasters.

After the war, the aerodrome served various squadrons and units including No. 13 Operational Training Unit (OTU), No. 2 Air Navigation School, No. 4 Flight Training School, 226 OCU and squadrons that used Meteors, Hunters, Javelins and Lightnings.

The RAF left the station in 1964, but the aerodrome was reopened in 1966 as a civil airport. The airfield was named Teesside International Airport in the 1960s, and was renamed Durham Tees Valley Airport in 2004.

This scenery has been made using various scenery libraries, mainly from MAIW. Full listing in the docs.

RAF East Moor Download

File Description:
RAF East Moor was opened in 1942 and was originally a 4 Group facility and first hosted No. 158 Squadron RAF which had moved from RAF Driffield on 6 June 1942. The squadron flew the Handley Page Halifax Mk. II with detachments at RAF Beaulieu and RAF Manston before moving to RAF Rufforth on 6 November 1942. Royal Canadian Air Force use The first squadron was No. 429 Squadron RCAF which formed at the airfield on 7 November 1942 initially only flying the Vickers Wellington Mk.III until January 1943 when the Wellington Mk. X was added. The squadron left on 13 August 1943 going to RAF Leeming where the unit re-equipped with Halifaxes. On 19 September 1943 the next squadron arrived being 432 Squadron which initially used the Avro Lancaster Mk.II before being re-equipped with the Halifax Mk. III in February 1944 and the Mk. VII Halifax in July 1944. The squadron disbanded on 15 May 1945 at the airfield. The last Canadian squadron to use the airfield was 415 Squadron which flew the Halifax III from 26 July 1944. The unit inherited the additional Mk.VII versions during March 1945 but disbanded shortly after on 15 May 1945 at the airfield. Royal Air Force use Not long after the last Canadian squadron disbanded the airfield was handed back to the Royal Air Force (RAF). The first RAF unit to use the airfield was No. 54 Operational Training Unit (OTU) which had moved in during November 1945 flying the de Havilland Mosquito. By May 1946 No. 288 Squadron RAF joined with their Supermarine Spitfire IX's and their Vultee Vengeance Mk. IV's with a detachment at RAF Acklington. The squadron disbanded on 15 June 1946. No. 54 OTU stayed until June 1946 when the unit moved to RAF Leeming but a detachment stayed until 15 November 1946. The airfield closed to flying in November 1946. Most of the buildings were taken down and the land has reverted largely to agricultural use.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 747-400P-PW 'PH-BFA' City of Atlanta Download

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures ONLY) of the Project Open Sky (POSKY) Fabulous 747-400PW V3 GMax in KLM "City of Atlanta" old color scheme (which I like more over their new one for in my opinion it was more Royal than the current one). KLM is a great company with great services as my relatives mostly flying with it have told me, hmmm, guess I should try it one day myself! Alpha layers are used and textures are formatted in DXT3 so no blurring will ever appear on the fuselage. By the way, don't you think that the provided thumbnail looks very real for a virtual plane @;)
