YKLN Kulin Town and YJLN Kulin, Jilakin Rock, Western Australia Download

File Description:
YKLN Kulin Town and YJLN Kulin, Jilakin Rock. Kulin is located in the upper great southern Wheatbelt of Western Australia, the Shire of Kulin covers an area of 4,790 square kilometres. It encompasses the towns of Kulin, Pingaring, Dudinin, Jitarning, and Holt Rock. The Kulin economy is based on agriculture and was settled by pastoralists in 1905. The crosswind runway is actually 7 miles to the east at Jilakin Rock and slopes uphill to the east. For convenience, I have used fictitious YJLN. Jilakin Downs is a Dorper sheep stud farm and the home of the Kulin Bush Races. Dorpers are currently under a cloud in Western Australia as the local abatoirs claim their hair is contaminating the meat and won't accept them. "We welcome air traffic to our 2012 Kulin Bush Races Weekend. A crosswind airstrip is available, with a shuttle bus service to the Jilakin Track. GPS position is S32-39-95 E118-18-71 and the elevation is 950 feet. The strip is 7 nautical miles east of the town of Kulin. Camping and toilets are close to the strip so that you can camp near your plane. Kulin airstrip is also available for landing and takeoff during the weekend, a shuttle bus is available to take you out to the race track. If this option is chosen please contact Barry West. Please contact Barry West for flying information on 9880 9021" www.kulin.wa.gov.au/tourism_and_local_events/kulin_bush_races/flying_visit.html REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

Black Cat Catalina PBY5/5Av1.1 for x-plane Download

File Description:
This update includes improvements to the fuselage shape, addition of retractable wing floats using wheel farings, an improved but not custom panel, improved prop efficiency and more. The PBY Catalina is probably the best known flying boat with over 4000 produced by Consolidated aircraft and licensees. The Black Cat squadrons all done in flat black played havoc particularly for the Japanese in the Pacific. Fitted with radar, with a 15 hour endurance and 2800 mile range they hunted Japanese naval ships by night and bombed or torpedoed them by the hundreds up. There are 6 engine nacelles used in the model, 2 represent the 1200 HP radial engines driving the props, the others are jets with 5 lbs of thrust, 1 is used for the rear fuselage section, 1 is used for the wing pylon, 1 is used for the flare from the fuselage to the vertical stabilizer and the last is used for the forward observation and gunner space. Two are not used. Wing sections are taken up by the main wing and the support spars so there you go. The fuel tanks are used for the side gunner pods since these can be decorated separately. The plane flies very well and is stable as a rock. Takeoffs from water are quite easy as long as you don't dip a wing tip (no floats remember). The Black Cat squadron logo used in the paint scheme is courtesy of http://www.daveswarbirds.com/blackcat/logos.htm and is from the VP-71 Black Cat squadron.

RCAF Avro Arrow 416 Lynx Squadron Download

File Description:
Textures only. Avro Arrow in 416 Lynx Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force. Real plane, real livery, but fictional that this livery was on this plane, as the real plane was never addopted into service. Inspired by a repaint by Shane Strong (do a search for his repaints, some 190 quality paints!) on the Alphasim Voodoo, I undertook to replicate (nothing coppied from his work) the feel of that historic 'special' livery, on what the RCAF pilots SHOULD have been flying...the Arrow. If you don't know this plane, or it's history, you really ought to do a search and check out it's story. Amazing, powerful, speedy, had many technological firsts, and many more which were being designed but never completed (imagine for instance it's missiles, which were basically simple AMRAAM's in the 60's) Requires:Mike Stone's Avrow Arrow, get it at: http://www.pmstone.com/ or any of the usual big sites. Optional:"Version 2 Update" (edit/tweek, effects) by Bob Chicilo (got mine at Avsim).

Beechcraft T-34C with full functionalities and failure modules Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FS9 freeware ALPHASIM T-34C aircraft with:
- improved Virtual Cockpit and 2D Panel, partly with custom gauges, featuring
- extensive system functionalities based on the NATOPS T-34C familiarisation manual (included)
- random and pilot induced failure modules

This is the complete aircraft. I also modified the airfile and aircraft.cfg to adjust some parameters and aircraft performance more closely to real world data. In addition, random and pilot induced failure modules are embedded in the gauges. The likelihood of random failures can be selected in steps from never to certain. Pilot induced failures include exceedance of engine limits, hotstart, Engine FOD Damage on unpaved surfaces, Engine Flame out during rain or snowfall, tire wear. Random failures include failure in engine, engine fire, Battery, Generator, Avionic System, Inverters, fuel pumps, fuel leak, oil leak, prop governor, pitot blockage, static port blockage, instruments, flight controls, and they may happen already on ground, so do your preflight checks!

Black Cat PBY5/5A Download

File Description:
X-Plane 6.40 The PBY Catalina is probably the best known flying boat with over 4000 produced by Consolidated aircraft and licensees. The Black Cat squadrons all done in flat black played havoc particularly for the Japanese in the Pacific in WWII. Fitted with radar, with a 15 hour endurance and 2800 mile range they hunted Japanese naval ships and bombed or torpedoed them by the hundreds. This a fairly accurate rendition of the PBY except that the retractable pontoons are missing. Why? Well basically after using all the tricks I know I ran out of parts. The plane flies very well and is stable. Takeoffs from water are quite easy as long as you don't dip a wing tip (no floats remember). This aircraft model and the paint scheme is copyright by Robert App, January 2003. Feel free to alter the paint scheme and instrument panel as long as you give me credit for the original design. The Black Cat squadron logo used in the paint scheme is courtesy of http://www.daveswarbirds.com/blackcat/logos.htm and is from the VP-71 Black Cat squadron. E mail me with any good panels or paint schemes and I will give full credit if used.

German Airforce F-4F Phantom Download

File Description:
German Airforce, F-4F Phantom, "Bundeswehr Jagdgeschwader 71", for FSX, Demoversion with banners. The McDonnell Douglas F-4 E/F Phantom 2 is a two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. Proving highly adaptable, it became a major part of the air wings of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. It was used extensively by all three of these services during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war. First entering service in 1960, the Phantom continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon in the U.S. Air Force and the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy. It remained in service in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996. The Phantom was also operated by the armed forces of 11 other nations. Israeli Phantoms saw extensive combat in several Arab–Israeli conflicts, while Iran used its large fleet of Phantoms in the Iran–Iraq War. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5195 built. This extensive run makes it the second most-produced Western jet fighter, behind the famous F-86 Sabre at just under 10,000 examples. Panel, GAUGES, model, sound and textures - Author: A.Meyer.

Display_Smoke_ Cntrl_ Gauge Download

File Description:
This simple gauge is for the Alphasim T6 Harvard/Texan airplane (airplane package required), design to stop the 3 display smoke effects from coming on when the lights are first turned on from the spot view mode. Since both the Harvard or Texan are not using the Taxi lights, this gauge works based on the state of the Taxi light bool. When you first turn on all lights via the "L" key from the keyboard, the on state of the Taxi lights in turn, turns off the 3 Display Smoke Switches, then after a 2 second delay the Taxi lights are reset to the off state again, ready for the next cycle of the keyboard "L" key. Just want to reiterate, this is not a auto display smoke gauge in the sense, this is an invisible gauge (no visual references) that just stops the 3 display smoke switches from being turned on with the lights, so you don't get that big ball of colored smoke around the airplane when in "spot view" mode, and you turn the lights on via the "L" key on the keyboard. Note: Has not been verified in FSX, but should work though!

B-24 USAAF 801st PG "Black Zombie" Download

File Description:
Wherever they were to be seen, the glossy black Consolidated B-24s of the 801st Provisional Group, based at Harrington in Great Britain, stood out like big full stops. The squadrons of this group dropped supplies and agents for the French Underground. They were known by the name 'Carpetbaggers'. This illustration is a machine of the 406th BS, one of the squadrons of the group. This B-24H-15-CF, originally 'The Loretta Ann' of the 850th BS, 490th BG coded 'N-', transferred on 6th June 1944 to 391st BS, 34th BG coded 'I', and further transferred on 18th January 1945 to the 492nd BG 856th BS who sent it on detached service to the 406th BS(NL), NL being Night Leaflet. It survived the war and returned to the US, arriving on 11th July 1945. It was stored at Albuquerque from 10th August 1945 where it was later cut up for scrap. This particular aircraft was not a Carpetbagger per se and obviously wasn't engaged in agent or supply dropping but leaflet distribution over the Continent as the war ran down. Avro York (Base Package) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. Used variously as a long-range freighter and/or passenger airliner, the York was designed around the wings, engines, undercarriage, and tail assembly of the Lancaster bomber, adding a box-shaped fuselage and a center fin. Of a total of 253 production aircraft built, 208 initially went to the RAF, 25 to BOAC, 12 to BSAA, and 5 to FAMA (Flota Area Mercante Argentina). Specially fitted VIP versions were used by Winston Churchill and General de Gaulle. After completing 29,000 sorties in the Berlin Airlift of 1948-9, many RAF Yorks were sold to charter operators such as Aviation Traders, Dan Air, Hunting Clan, Lancashire Aircraft Corporation, and Skyways of London. Some of these re-acquired RAF roundels for "trooping flights" to the Middle East in the 1950s. From 1955 onward, the Yorks were gradually withdrawn, although some soldiered on until 1964. Two such veterans have been preserved as museum exhibits in Duxford and Cosford in the UK. Gmax exterior model and textures by Manfred Jahn, FDE by Paul Edwards, panel by Phil Perrott (Alphasim), Paul Edwards, and Lars Fors. A dedicated AI version has been released separately. The textures in this package represent MW207 of 246 Squadron RAF, BOAC G-AGNP ("Manchester"), and Skyways G-AHEY. The Flight dynamics are for a York fitted with Merlin-500 series engines.

Avro Lancastrian II Download

File Description:
A close derivative of the war-time Lancaster bomber, the Lancastrian was fitted with streamlined nose and tail cones. Lancastrians were used as long-range freighters, VIP transports, and jet engine test beds by the RAF, as fast long-range airliners and mailplanes by Trans Canada Air Lines, BOAC, BSAA, QUANTAS, and Alitalia, and as tankers by Flight Refuelling Ltd. Charter operators were Skyways and Silver City. Eighty-two aircraft were build, but most of them had vanished in scrapyards by the early nineteen-fifties. In the immediate post-war years, TCA offered twice-weekly Lancastrian flights from Dorval, Canada, to Prestwick and London, while BOAC and BSAA (under chief pilot D.C.T. Bennett) operated flights to Australia and South America, all based on a rather uneconomical ratio of five crew to up to fourteen passengers. The outbound leg from Hurn to Learmouth, Australia, took three days and well over fifty hours flying time, with Lydda, Karachi, and Ceylon serving as staging posts. BSAA's London to Buenos Aires flight took 56 hours. Either way, one needs to have plenty of time on one's hands to recreate these epic journeys. Gmax exterior model and textures by Manfred Jahn, FDE and 2D panel by Paul Edwards (based on a panel by Phil Perrott of Alphasim). The three texture sets included represent VM734 of 246 Squadron RAF, G-AGLY ("Norfolk") of BOAC, and G-AKFG of Flight Refuelling Ltd.
