File Description: From 1950 to 1967 the USAF set up and maintained bases in France, with the agreement of the French government, as part of its commitment to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. Chaumont AB was one of the ten main air bases which supported both attack and air defence capabilities. Many people do not appreciate the sheer extent of the USAF bases in France at this time and the reasons leading to the USAF departure in 1967. There is a link to a fine article on all this included. This scenery and traffic represent Chaoumont Air Base during the years 1955 to 1962. Custom Tower and Hangars by Dan French along with a large number of custom paints by DeltataDart for the many types of aircraft represented over this period. Traffic files and the aircraft and paints needed are provided for 1955 (including the Skyblazer Demonstration Team), 1957, 1959 and 1962.

AirEd152 Update

File Description:
AirEd(itor) has become one of the most versatile .air-file editors for MSFS 2000 up to 2004/FS9. For FS9 in particular the treatment of section [1101] has become pivotal for tuning the aerodynamics of FS9 aircraft. Yet, for many users the expert jargon remains obscure. Yahia now provides more information on [1101], making tuning easier to understand! References to the CFG file are made as well. Just right-click on an item in [1101] to see new amendments, test values and hints. Some divert from earlier insights or explain where things can go wrong. Also about taxiing are some new hints. AirEd now becomes an easy to understand "Must Have" for everybody interested in tuning FS9 aircraft.

IRIS F-14A in VF-154 Black Knights Paint Scheme Aircraft #: NF104 Callsign: Black Knight 104 Highly detailed repaint including decals and patches as used on jackets and helmets during the 2003-2004 season on station for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Shore based at Al Udeid this was the only F-14 to be lost during the OIF period. April 1, 2003 the aircraft suffered a failure of its port engine and was ejected from after running out of fuel. High resolution repaint in Grey/Black with clean paint and no weathering/wear and tear effects added. Armaments and stores repainted to live ammunition loads. Callsign VCPMOD included for EditVoicepack users.
