Originally built in 1942 and used by the USAAF, this aircraft became N1944S in 1956 and flew in Colorado until 2006, when it was expoted to the Netherlands. It is still registered in the US as N1944S, but is now based on Texel airfield. In 2019 it received a new paintjob, to represent that way it looked when entering service with the USAAF in 1942, although the number 306 is based on the former squadron of one of the owners. | G-O Enterprises "Stage coach" Douglas DC-6A / C-118A (C-GPEG) |

File Description:
Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6A/C-118 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6A CB-16 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict C-GPEG (c/n 43576), flying cargo for Willy Laserichs G-O Enterprise from Yellowknife throughout Canada's northwest. Its a former USAF C-118A and has been around a bit as the flags of all at these times visited nations attest. After civilianisation a talented young lady from Tucson painted the "Stage coach" nose art on it and in 1978 W. Laserich bought the plane. Later on she went to Northern Air Cargo of Alaska as N99330 and lost her colorful markings.

File Description:
This aircraft and texture set is for fun flying. It sports a very unique AVSIM Convention 2006 livery as the specific mascot for the AVSIM Convention in Washington DC in September 2006. Visually a pleasure to fly and has a rather interesting Night Texture effect which should add to your flying pleasure. Be sure to also get the A380 Generic AVSIM Convention aircraft that is available in the AVSIM library. I recommend that you take the opportunity to go to the AVSIM Washington DC Convention as there will be lots of interesting Flight Sim paraphernalia and information available there. | 1963 Tijuana Airport Scenery |
|
File Description:
This scenery represents the airport of Tijuana, Mexico, the world's leading tourist attraction, circa 1963. In 1959, Rodriguez Field, as the airport was then known, was served by Transmar de Cortez, Aeronaves de Mexico, and Mexicana. By 1963, the Mexican government had ousted Mexicana from serving Tijuana, and Aeronaves de Mexico had merged with Transmar de Cortez. The Bristol Britannia was the largest equipment serving Rodriguez Field at this time. Aeronaves had a DC-6 service to Los Angeles, making this truly an international airport. For connections to the rest of the world, it meant making the long flight down to Mexico City and then connecting. By the late 1960s Aeronaves de Mexico had DC-8 fanjets in and out of Tijuana.
