Southeast Airlines 1999 AI Package

File Description:
Southeast Airlines was the late 1998 re-start of Sun Jet International which was a US scheduled carrier that had gone bankrupt in 1997. The airline's livery featured the revival of National Airlines' "Sun King" logo, and the ICAO code and callsign reflected this logo. In contrast to their past, the airline came back as a charter carrier with contracts with tour operators. Most of the charters were between Florida Beach cities or Cruise ports and cities in the Southeast USA. Initially, the airline had a single DC-9-30, but a 2nd was added in July 1999. In 2000, the airline grew and started preforming some sports and private charters and charters to the Western US. MD-80s arrived in 2001, and the airline failed soon after in 2004. Ghana Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Ghana Airways was only 6 years from the end of a long history in 1998. A pair of DC-9-51s flew around West Africa, sometimes on 6-stop flights, while the 2 DC-10-30s(one of which was still in the old livery) flew to New York and the 3 routes remaining in Europe. Though based in ACC, ABJ seems to have had more flights and destinations from the DC-9s. One of the DC-9s was destroyed in a crash landing 2 years later and the airline never recovered, shutting down in 2004. A single Fokker 27-600 was operated by the Ghana Air Force as "Ghana Link", a regional subsidiary of Ghana Airways, in full Ghana military colors. Nigeria Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Unfortunately, between the early 1990s and 1998, Nigeria Airways had drastically reduced it's European network, ending service to places like London and Amsterdam and disposing of most of the A310s and DC-10s. Flights to Dubai were now on a charter basis, with the DC-10 only doing a LOS-KAN-JED route once per week. The DC-10 also did maintenance in MIA, so I included a ferry flight there but it usually sits in Lagos unused. A single PW-powered A310-200 and a DC-10-30 were doing the longhaul flights while the A310s and several 737-200s were flying around Africa. There were 3 A310s stored; 2 in Lagos and one impounded in BRU(to become a cafe in 12/99) with none in flying conditions. I have them sitting idle in LOS as in real life, but since they were not in flying condition, they only do a touch and go landing once per week in the middle of the night. I will give them proper parking spots when I do the LOS ADEX eventually, but delete them if you wish. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Repaints are in the Avsim library, filenames included. Yana Airlines 1999 AI Package

File Description:
Yana Airlines was a short-lived Cambodian Airline which started up at the start of 1999 to connect Phenom Phen with Singapore, Indonesia and China with a pair of IL-62Ms. The airline quickly lost money, and a group of Australian business men re-organized the carrier in 2002 after the fall lof Royal Air Cambodge to attempt to gain that carriers lost market share. They were unsuccessful and the airline shut down on 16OCT2003. Note that this airline served Guangzhou(ZGGG) which was using the old airport at the time which closed in 2003, and flights are assigned ZGGX to use that old airport, so you'll need to change them if you wish to use the current airport(for which a 1998 scenery will be released in the coming months). GTI Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
The Turkish charter airline 'GTI Airlines' was formed in 1996 by the travel organisations Kayi Tours from Turkey and German Travel International. The airline offered charters both from Germany and other nations to Turkish resort cities and from large turkish cities to other holiday destinations. In february 1998 the airline was sold and renamed Air Anatolia. GTI Airlines flew an "all-widebody"-fleet of only three Airbus A300 aircraft: one B2 and two B4s. The first A300 was delivered to the airline in 1996, the other two followed in 1997. Fleet repaints for the TFS A300B2\B4 GE by Chasen Richardson are included, including how the aircraft looked in 1997 in case you plan to have different traffic periods in your sim or otherwise to pick which you prefer using. California Pacific 2019 AI Flightplans

File Description:
California Pacific was the pet-project of eccentric millionaire Ted Vallas who was determined to overcome a near-decade of obstacles to bring scheduled jet service to the Northern San Deigo\Carlsbad area. The airline was founded in 2009, but ran into a laundry list of problems over the years. Initially, the airline had acquired an EMB-170 which was painted in the airlines own colors and kept at the airlines Carlsbad base(CLD\KCRQ). The initial plan called for 3-class service to destinations including SJC, OAK, PHX, SMF, and even SJD. However, a US government shut down ill-timed during the scheduled proving runs and certification process for the airline delayed the process indefinitely. After months of waiting, and paying for staff and the aircraft to the dismay of investors, the E170 was returned and used as a cooperate shuttle in Arizona in full California Pacific colors, though it never would return. The founder did not give up, however, and years later was able to circumvent the certification process by purchasing the operating certificate of ADI's Essential Air Service operation which connected Watertown and Pierre, South Dakota with Denver with a pair of EMB-145s. One of the EMB-145s was painted in full California Pacific colors and used to launch scheduled flights, this time initially to SJC, RNO and LAS with AZA instead of PHX later being added. However, the other EMB-145 was damaged after being struck by ground equipment in Pierre, SD and was grounded for the rest of the airline's life, causing all EAS flights to cancel soon after California Pacific had acquired the flying. The airline was stretched so thin when service started in November 2018 that the departure of a pilot in January 2019 shut the airline down, after just 2 months in operation. Flights were for months considered "suspended", with airport signage being retained at the destinations, but soon after the website was taken down and all hopes of re-starting the company seemed abandoned. These flights are based on an early 2019 schedule I found online, but the EAS flights were not listed. As the flights did not operate anyway for the most part as California Pacific, I elected not to include them. The schedule was changed several times in the airline's short history as it struggled to maintain an aggressive 30 minute ground-time between flights with just 1 aircraft. Yangon Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Yangon Airways flew a pair of ATRs in competition with Air Mandalay and Myanmar National Airways on domestic routes in Myanmar. I do not show Yangon operating more than 2 ATRs until 2003, but the plans call for 4, with many routes left out! This leads me to think that some other equipment might have filled in for some flights, or that the airline submitted the schedule but then reduced frequencies, but the extra planes are included and segregated. Note that the airline later changed it's IATA code, ICAO code, and callsign when Avianca became "HK", so use the ones above for the 90s. In 23 years, the aircraft has not had a livery change, the paints are on Avsim for both ATRs that operated at the time, though my plans only use one texture. Cyprus Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Cyprus Airways had an impressive route network in 1998, however, the vast majority of destinations are served only 1-2x weekly. Still, even with a small fleet, you'll see Cyprus Airways all over Europe and the Middle East, and even in Syria at the time! The airline routed many flights through both PFO and LCA, so there are dozens of weekly flights on the short hop between the two airports. Cyprus Airways was also rather unique at the time by choosing to serve multiple airports in metropolitan areas. For example, in London, Cyprus served LGW, LHR, and STN. In Milan, Cyprus served both MXP and LIN. Cyprus Airways was only operating the A310-200 and A320-200 with no livery variations. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Druk Air 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Druk Air was the only scheduled carrier in Bhutan in 1998, operating a pair of Bae-146s across the region. The carrier is well known for being based out of the infamous Paro airport, which requires a demanding approach across mountainous terrain. However, due to the equipment Druk Air had at the time, the airline routed most flights via DMK, and the aircraft spend as much time(or more) in Bangkok as they do home in Pero!
