File Description:
This is an add-on package only. You must have Oleksiy Frolov/Thomas Herger's Dash 8-300 by *fanda* 2002. V1.004(dh8-1004.zip) for this file to work. All I did was add interior flight deck views when you look out the window. This version also features a FO sitting beside you to make the trip more enjoyable. This is an upgrade to the original file I had made. This fixes some panel items for the version 1.004 model that I had left out when I uploaded the original side views. Sorry for any inconveniance.

File Description:
Based on the brilliantly night-lit, fully animated Dc4 of Tom Gibson and Harry Follas and Hans Hermann, this package includes flight dynamics (by Brian Horsey) selected for excellent stability, easy handling and landing. The plane really flies great - and the panel is photographic, using the photography of Thomas Klein for main cockpit and pilot's side views; Janathan Derden's very metallic wing views; and the vintage C-54 cabin was photographed by Miguel Snoep.It has military capability, including machine guns and NUCLEAR/GPS/JDAM guided bomb launch. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS and (optional) default radios, so there is no tabbing. The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Klein, Gauges by James Underwood, Ernie Kennedy and Dai Griffiths. A-bomb and machine guns by Chris Trotter. All of this brought to you by Val-U-Prop.

A FS2004 panel in the style of the "F���¼rstenberg" Do-27 is included in this update. This FS2004 option provides also virtual cabin views.

If you’ve flown in Lynn and Bill Lyon’s Piper PA-23 Apache then you’ll likely know where I’m coming from when I say it’s one of the best payware old GA aircraft models out there. Like the Maule and a few others, it’s one of the few freeware packages out there that could have easily been released as payware (and I think may have initially been payware), and I for one, am very grateful it was not.
However, one of the big gripes with the Apache’s package is the lack of a DME display unit to couple with the Collins multi-comms/avionics gauge, a directional gyro with a heading bug and a suitable autopilot insert to bind the avionics to one AP unit. Initially the PA-23 was sold as an IFR capable plane, with the autopilot being either “good trimming” or the person in the right seat flying the plane. In the decades which followed, autopilots and updated gear became commonplace and most Piper PA-23’s were outfitted with modern avionics.
This upgrade will replace the bank indicator with a Directional Gyro w/ Heading Bug, add a DME indicator, and add a Bendix/King KAP 140 autopilot controller.

The FS98 version of this package differs only from the FS2002 version in that it does not contain wing, side and cabin views. Also, a couple of gauges have been changed, including the addition of ACS-GPS (not included). Everything is on the main panel (except GPS) so no tabbing, and the aircraft has excellent flight dynamics by Brian Horsey. The panel is based upon the photographs of Bill Blanchard (main) and Mike of AirNikon (throttles). Aircraft has landing lights and is a fine addition to the Val-U-Prop fleet. This is an alternative 2D rear seat panel for the magnificent Fouga Magister by A. Chancel, J-P Langer, J-P Bourgeois, B. Dube and M. Hardouin which can be downloaded from http://restauravia.com. The aircraft is a true "must" for any FS addict and comes complete with a thorough documentation both in French and in English. It includes some very novel features, among which the possibility to "fly" the aircraft from the rear seat both with a conventional 3D view and with a so-called "periscopal" 2D view, just like in the real aircraft. This alternative "periscopal" view includes all the necessary instruments to land the aircraft from the rear seat. Happy flights!
