This DBWsim scenery for Flightsim2004 covers Johnston Atoll in its entirety. This scenery pack includes fully updated and improved scenery for facilities on the main island and the islands and lagoon surrounding the atoll. The scenery is representative of Johnston Atoll circa 1995, as today there is virtually nothing on the island, not even an airstrip.
Highlights of the scenery are numerous and include; the main street, golf course and outdoor cinema, and Munitions Demilitarization facilities.

This sound.cfg replaces the one uploaded in August 2008. Both the interior and exterior sounds have been improved. Please replace the sound.cfg you already downloaded by this new one. In my search for a good sound for the Douglas DC-6/-6A/-6B/-6C, XC-112A/YC-112A, VC-118, the C-118A/R6D-1 series and the Canadair C-5, I struck on the fabulous soundpack for the beautiful Douglas A-26 Invader of Milton Shupe and the Sim-Outhouse Team, made by David C. Copley. Most of the wav-files in this soundpack are recordings of the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800 engines of an A-26 Invader. Having studied the Invaders sound pack, I discovered that by ‘tweaking’ the sound.cfg, particularly with regard to the exterior sounds, it became possible to develop a good exterior DC-6 sound (4 engines). No changes were made to the wav-files, as I didn’t want to modify them; the
wav-files just sound wonderful. In order to make your system reproduce the DC-6 sound, first download from www.sim-outhouse.com the great Douglas A-26 Invader package and enjoy flying that plane. Then copy the sound pack of the A-26 to the DC-6, and replace the existing sound.cfg by the revised one you just downloaded. This DC-6 sound has been tested in FS2004 only. Special thanks to David C. Copley who gave his permission to upload the modified sound.cfg as freeware, with limited distribution, at Sim-Outhouse.com and Avsim.com. File Description:
This is a scenery upgrade for Georgetown Airport, California (Q61). This is part Six of a series of small airstrip and minor airfield scenery enhancements which are based on real world data from Google Earth.
Changes to the default include surrounding landclass changed to mixed forest to match better the realworld, new airfield polygon to match shape and earth colours. The hangers I added had a mix of open door and closed door models, but for some odd reason they are all showing as closed, maybe it's just my system or some glitch, let me know if you get open doors!
I also added the usual extras which are of course artistic license!
Note that there are two exclude files, that is because I forgot to save data with one and new excludes needed another file making, sorry for the clutter!

Paints for a variety of AI models representing mercenaries, arms dealers, and smugglers operating in Africa. Includes a couple of real-world aircraft, a couple from movies, and one I made up as another option for a smaller aircraft.
Included are paints for B727-100 N4610 (associated with real world mercenary op); Douglas DC8 3c-QRG (allegedly involved in weapons dealing); Antonov AN28 9Q-WLG (fictitious, but will fly anything, anywhere, anytime, no questions); Antonov An-12 5Q-CIH (Nicolas Cage movie "Lord of War") and Gippsland GA-8 Airvan 9L-LBR (Leo Dicaprio movie "Blood Diamond"). Requires the AI Aardvark Boeing 727-100; Douglas DC-8 Super 62 by Dee Waldron; Mike Cronin's Antonov AN28 for AI; Klaus Brosemann's Gippsland GA-8 Airvan and Dimitry Samborski's An-12 (AI). Depicted in its former paintscheme as RNLAF Spitfire H-15.Entered service 15-04-1944 with 302Sqn.Transferred to 329Sqn 15-06-1944 with code 5A-K.Joined 165Sqn 30-08-1944 as SK-M.Sold to the RNLAF 25-09-1946 and given the code H-15.16-03-1950 saw another change with the aircraft being painted in the silver paintscheme.Spent some time as a "gate guard"at Eindhoven Air Base ( on a pole ).Has now been restored to flying condition by it's owner R Thompson in Houston Texas with American reg N959RT.Since 2005 repainted in it's original colours and reg of 329 Sqn.5A-K will be available in the near future .This information was made available by Pieter Jutte at his site www.strijdbewijs.nl,for further information on all Dutch Spitfires is his site worth a visit.

| Killaloe CYXI near the Ottawa River in Ontario Canada |

File Description:
Killaloe is an old military airfield built for jet fighters in the 1950's,and now officially abandoned. It is 12 miles north of Madawaska Valley Airpark and just to the west of Round Lake, and there is no trouble spotting it as even from 20,000 feet (see the pic) it is very visible. This is mainly because it has a single 6,600 feet runway 29/11, which is likely to be useful if it all goes quiet and you need to land! So it is worth knowing about, even though the asphalt is not in a very good condition. It also continues to be used by the odd passing pilot who cannot resist adding another destination to his log book, though I have no personal knowledge of that. I understand local residents also use it for occasional drag racing, presumably unofficially.
