KLM McDonnell Douglas MD-11 PH-KCK. Rework of the textures including bump files and improving the overall quality of the aircraft. Improvements include door hands engines wings and complete fuselage. No frame rate hit from these textures. FSX only and I can not convert them to FS2004 as a lot of the improvements are in the bump files.
Textures only for the PMDG MD11. Thumbnail included. Also including new night textures. Textures also work in DX10.

Chilko Lake and Scum Lake are both on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Chilko Lake CAG3 is around 30 miles south of Puntzi Mountain and at the northern end of the lake, serving Tsylos Park Lodge, which caters for trekking, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing etc. The runway is 3,200 feet of gravel aligned 18-36 and unlit, at 3,850 feet ASL (above sea level). Scum Lake is around 30 miles southeast of Puntzi Mountain and 25 miles northeast of Chilko Lake. Don't ask me about the name. The airstrip appears to serve a small village and is noted as "private", so perhaps also a lodge operation. The runway is 3,500 feet of gravel aligned 03-21, unlit and at 3,921 feet ASL. I have posted these as a separate scenery, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. Yet again another version of my GE CF6 Sounds for the A300 and A310. This time you'll notice various improvements such a reduced file size, which will tremendously improve your framerates and for you Dial Up users. No More Download Headaches! Improved Engine whine I added more bass so you'll be able to hear the rath of these powerful engines, a recently recorded Max Power Buzz Saw Like Sounds Heard during take-off. I also reprogrammed some of the exterior values so the time the engine has to whine has increased, compliments to some new wavs for the exterior set. Yet another terrain mesh package of the European Alps? Well, this one is different in that it is NOT primarily based on the Shuttle Radar (SRTM) data with their incomplete coverage of prominent peaks and ridges. Instead, most of the source data for this project were developed over many months by Jonathan de Ferranti using detailed topographic maps. While Jonathan's work is unrelated to flight simulation he kindly gave me permission to compile his data for use in FS. The result is a wonderful improvement in detail and accuracy over any existing SRTM- or DTED-based mesh file, freeware or commercial (a link to an extensive set of screenshot comparisons is included in the read-me file).
I've compiled the source data at LOD10 (38-m) grid resolution because the coverage area is smaller than most existing mesh files. Thus, anyone can use these files without having to first uninstall their current mesh set. Also included are LOD9 and LO8 buffer mesh files. Note: if you own Switzerland Professional with its high-resolution terrain mesh then you don't need this package, at least not the Switzerland files!

Another one of my 'what if' repaints. MASwings, the Borneo network operator part of the Malaysia Airlines Group is now undergoing their fleet replacement. The Dash 8 lost the bid to replace their Fokker 50s, which went to ATR instead. So...this is how it might looked had it won;-)

File Description:
The use in my "Walla Walla controlled OT airport" upload (26 Nov 2009) of a lighted taxi sign as a moving object for adding a sound effect can cause incorrect resizing of all instances of the taxi sign. This fix circumvents the problem by moving the sound to another object.
