Random Flight Database 3.5.2 Download

File Description:
Random Flight Database is a simple and easy to use application. It will allow you to randomly choose one or more VFR, IFR flights according to your criteria (type of plane, flight time, company, distance, departure airport, .....). These flights are chosen at random from a default database, a user base created by yourself or according to the world aviation POIs. A default database is already included, but also the possibility for each user to create his own database. But that's not all, you can also extract the flights of the day for an airport, or extract the flights for a whole week. Why Use RFD ? The advantage of RANDOM FLIGHT DATABASE: Extracted from FlightRadar but also from other databases, it chooses randomly among those where these databases according to your choices. You can also make many other possible combinations, such as leaving each time from the arrival airport for each flight generated, but also selecting your favorite planes and airports. Simply choose the departure airport, he chooses the arrival airport for you, choose the arrival airport, he chooses the departure airport for you and all this according to the real data of the airlines. A tab for generating non-real flights is available, it will allow you to generate random flights from over 58,000 global aviation POIs. Full of possibilities, including the possibility to choose the flight time but also to generate several flights while leaving the arrival airport. You also have the option of creating your own data for inclusion in this software. And one of the most important is that once the flight (s) are generated, you can send them to SIMBRIEF or PFPX to schedule this. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8y3mSeP-gj-h2MbMT59AOw

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Seattle in march 1944. This was around the transition from camouflaged to bare metal aircraft, which led to the odd situation that the datablock was stencilled onto a OD panel, while the rest of the aircraft was left bare metal. This was because the datablock was sprayed on right at the beginning of production. The aircraft was assigned to the 401st BS of the 91st BG, and was collected at the depot in Burtonwood by Paul McDuffee, who was so impressed with its smooth handling that he asked to be assigned to it. The aircraft was named by its crew chief, Hank Cordes, and was named after a popular song by the Andrews Sisters. Originally, the name was 'Shoo shoo baby', applied in gothic letters, which was later replaced by a Vargas girl and an additional 'shoo', painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer. McDuffee flew 13 missions with 076, before completing his tour of duty. On completion of his last flight, he buzzed the airfield and flew so low that fencing wire became entangled in the tail wheel. On the plane's 23rd mission, on 29 may 1944, Lt. Robert Guenther was flying 076 on a raid to Poznan when he suffered engine failure on one engine, and a while later, flak knocked out a second engine. 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' started to fall behind, and when a third engine started to falter, Lt Guenther decided to turn to neutral Sweden, with the crew jettisoning all loose equipment. A group of FW190's closed in, but did not open fire, peeling away. By the time 076 reached Bulltofta airfield near Malmö, it had only one engine left, but it did manage to perform a safe landing. The crew were interned, and the aircraft was impounded. The crew returned to the UK in October 1944, and 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' would later tour the world... Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Piaggio P-166CL2 Download

File Description:
Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! The fifth of the coming P-166 aircraft series. I'm going to build the whole family of these graceful twins. This file covers the whole production line of the P-166CL2!!! (Well, just 2...(-:) The Piaggio P-166A is a light small twin. An Exotic two-engined prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. he P-166CL2 was developed to take advantage of the cabin spaciousness of the P-166 series: a new landing gear that retracts under the fuselage into two small blisters lets expand the internal useful area more bakwards between the wings, as there is no central section. This lets the P-166CL2 accomodate 12 poassengers + pilot. The old gear bays at the side of te fuselage were replaced with two large windows that give a strange top-down view for the passenger. Tiptanks are optionally unattachable, as using them plus 12 passengers makes the plane go overweight. Means that the 12 passengers can only be transported on a considerabily short range. Only 2 P-166CL2s were built, due to the low-range caused by the small old-type tiptanks and the unstability of the new landing gear, that gave serious problems while taxiing. The P-166C is dated October '64, and converted to CL2 in 1972. The aircraft is still in production in a slightly modified turboprop version, the P-166D-P1. This model is 760 Kbs with c.a. 23000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. Features Clickable Dynamic VC with non-planar throttle quadrant. Detailed internals. Fully compatible with FS 2002 (pro edition)

Hellenic Air Force, Lockheed F-104 Starfighter Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Hellenic Air Force F-104 textures for the ALPHASIM F-104 payware model. The F-104 has gained many 'nick-names' through-out its long career in many air forces around the world. Some of these include 'Widow Maker', 'Manned Missile', and 'Flying Coffin'!

The Hellenic Air Force had a very good track record with this aircraft. Greece originally received 45 F-104Gs and 6 TF-104Gs under the US MAP (Military Assistance Program) in 1964. In 1972 used planes started to be bought with nine more F-104Gs and one TF-104G aircraft acquired from Spain, ten more F-104Gs from the Netherlands in 1982. The largest purchase came when a further thirty eight F-104Gs, twenty two RF-104Gs and twenty TF-104Gs were bought from West Germany. The West German planes were acquired mainly between 1981 and 1988. With one hundred second hand planes, some were mothballed and used as spare parts. Originally flown with just the natural metal finish they eventually were given a camouflage 3 color paint scheme on top of olive drab / dark green / sand, the bottom was a light grey. These planes were flown by two Greek squadrons, the first being 335 Mira from the 114 Pterix (Wing) based at Tanagra AB. The second was 336 Mira, also based at Tanagra AB at the time. December 21st 1966 saw 336 Mira move to a new base at 116 Pterix at Araxos AB.

The F-104 went on in the Hellenic Air Force service until 1993 when 336 "Olympus" Mira Diokseos Bombardismou (Fighter-Bomber Squadron) was deactivated March 31.

McDonnell Douglas F-4J(UK) Phantom F.3 (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 5) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4J(UK) Phantom F.3 (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 5). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,195 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set utilized FSDS source files for Nick Black's original F-4E Phantom II 8-LOD AI model, and has been heavily modified for this project. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains one F-4J(UK) base model, but is split into two time periods, representing use of both Sparrow and Sky Flash missiles. There are two full squadron paints for 74 Squadron, including eight loadouts and 15 serials per squadron; representing these aircraft in service from 1984-1990. I am not including the usual paint kit because these aircraft were only used by one RAF squadron, and I have included all serials. This project is the next part of what will hopefully be a comprehensive and fairly complete (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I learned a lot from previous releases, and these models are vastly improved from the original releases I have done recently (v2 models for those will be forthcoming). I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.

RAF Upper Heyford EGUA 1955-1962 Download

File Description:
EGUA RAF Upper Heyford 1955-1962 The airfield was originally built in 1918 by the Royal Air Force on land owned by New College Oxford, closed briefly after the end of the First World War and then re-opened in the 1920s. During the Second World War it was used by units of RAF Bomber Command but these were training rather than operational forces, even if aircraft of the 16th OTU (Operational Training Unit) may sometimes have taken part in bombing operations against the Third Reich. New runways were laid in 1942. During the Cold War Upper Heyford was chosen as one of the airfields used to operate bomber aircraft belonging to the US Strategic Air Command, and in 1950 the main runway was extended while new hardstandings were constructed for the bombers concerned. However, units were not stationed there permanently, but did Temporary Duty Assignments from their bases in the US. They included the 93rd Bomb Wing, 97th Air Refueling Squadron, 509th Air Refueling Squadron, 301st Bomb Wing, 8th Air Sea Rescue Squadron, 2nd Bomb Wing, 5th Bomb Wing Detachment, and the 22nd Bomb Wing. Aircraft included the B-50 Superfortress, (briefly) the B-36 Peacemaker, the B-47 and from 1960 the B-52. There were further significant developments after 1962 which fall outside the remit of this scenery, Upper Heyford being finally returned to the British Ministry of Defence in 1994 after the end of the Cold War.

EICM Galway Airport, Ireland Download

File Description:
Ireland EICM Galway Airport. Galway airport is a small regional airport situated on the West coast of Ireland. The runway is 1289m(4230ft) in length and is therefore only suitable for GA and small jets. This scenery also includes EICA Connemara and the three airstrips of the Aran Islands, EIIM Inishmore, EIMN Inishmaan, and EIIR Inisheer. EICA Connemara plays host to the shortest scheduled airline service in the world, operated by Aer Arann, and appropriately using BN2 Islanders. In June of 1919, Alcock and Brown crashlanded their converted Vickers Vimy in a Connemara bog, having successfully completed the first non-stop transatlantic flight.

All the terminals and buildings are custom made and static aircraft add a sense of realism. The BGL files have been subdivided so the user can switch various elements of the scenery on or off according to preference. For added realism I have also added some sound effects, animations, people, grass, and rocks. Each airport has a complete set of night textures with wash lighting in the carparks and terminal areas.

The scenery has been primarily designed for VFR photographic scenery using 10m mesh, but will also work with the default terrain, although there are some variations with the default 38m mesh at Inishmore. All the five airports use objects from my Ireland Static object library, 3d aircrew and VFR trees. Full installation instructions are given in the Readme file. I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I enjoyed making it.

GB-0112 - RAF Bassingbourn - Cambridgeshire, England Download

File Description:
RAF Bassingbourn is a former Royal Air Force station located in Cambridgeshire approximately 3 mi (5 km) north of Royston, Hertfordshire and 11 mi (18 km) south west of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. RAF Bassingbourn was constructed by John Laing & Son between 1937 and 1939 in the parishes of Wendy and Bassingbourn immediately to the west of the A14 (now the A1198) road. The site selected was low ground between several tributaries of the River Cam. The area had been long cleared of forest and tended to be swampy and unstable, and because the boggy ground produced a persistent mist over the large meadow the site was considered ideal for airfield camouflage. During the Second World War it served first as an RAF station and then as a bomber airfield of the Eighth Air Force, of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). It remains the home of the Tower Museum Bassingbourn. From 19 August 1942 to 25 June 1945, Bassingbourn served as headquarters for the 1st Combat Bombardment Wing of the 1st Bomb Division. It was assigned USAAF designation Station 121. The RAF resumed occupation of Bassingbourn on 26 June 1945, the airfield was officially returned on 10 July 1945. The station became one of the main airfields for long-range transport aircraft. In 1948 and 1949 Avro York, Avro Lancaster and Douglas Dakota aircraft from the base took part in the Berlin Airlift, a massive operation transporting essential commodities to the beleaguered city. In February 1952, RAF Bassingbourn received its first allocation of English Electric Canberra bombers and became the first jet bomber operational conversion unit (OCU) in the world. Canberras operated from Bassingbourn for 17 years and one of the aircraft is on static display in the Barracks. From 1963 to 1969 the Joint School of Photographic Interpretation was also located there. On 29 August 1969, the last RAF Commanding Officer, Sqn Ldr A.M. McGregor MBE, turned over the station to the British Army as Bassingbourn Barracks. The barracks were established, on the site of the former RAF Bassingbourn airfield, in January 1970, as the new Depot for the Queen's Division. The depot was responsible for training recruits undergoing their 19-week basic training before joining a regular battalion; in 1993 the Barracks were re-designated the home of the "Army Training Regiment, Bassingbourn" and remained as such for nearly 20 years. Bassingbourn Barracks closed as an army training location in August 2012. The site was reopened for training Libyan soldiers in 2014 but closed down the same year. Since approximately 1970 the site has retained its RAF links by being the home of 2484 (Bassingbourn) Squadron Air Training Corps.

B17 Flying Fortress Download

File Description:
The B17 is arguably the best known heavy bomber from WWII. Followed closely by it's direct successor the B29 SuperFortress it symbolizes the best of WWII's heavy Bombers. The B17 was one of the planes that barely made it into the war. In 1934 the then very small Boeing company had a prototype four engined bomber design called the B-299 but it had not been ordered by the US military. It had suffered several serious setbacks in it's design competition including a crash during a fly-off. Boeing continued work the plane and eventually secured a small service test order and the troubled early history of the bomber began. The B17 and bombers like it were planes created as "strategic bombers". The essential idea was that a strategic bomber should be able to carry a very large payload for long distances. The military had come to the realization that bombing technology was by nature imprecise even with new advances like the American Norden sight, and what was required was a large number of bombs delivered by large number of planes to assure that a target was destroyed. Although the Germans actually had a decent "smart bomb" and the British built specialty bombs, neither was reliable, so it seemed the best idea was just to blanket the target with bombs. An American extension to this concept was that of a self-defended bomber. Bombers could be built so tough and with so much defensive armament, it was thought, that they could simply fly to the target, drop bombs, and if necessary fight their way through fighters to get home. There would be security in the large number of bombers in formations, and the defensive capability would allow bombers to fly during the day for better accuracy in drops. It was to this design concept the B17 was built. Early experiences in the war with B17's and B-24's could only be termed as disastrous. Loss rates of up to 25% showed the concept of unescorted bombers in daytime to be entirely wrong. Escort fighters were a necessity for success. It soon became apparent that with fighter cover the B17 really was an unparalleled strategic bomber. Success for the B17 shot up dramatically, and it's initial design specifications of huge amounts of armor and gunner positions served it well when fighters did make it close in. The Fortress had enough strength to stave off attackers until escorts showed up, and it became legendary for the incredible punishment it could take and still make it home.
