File Description:
This is the first in a series of missions on challenging approaches and landings. The mission begins with you are approaching SBG VOR, enroute to Innsbruck, Austria, LOWI. As you approach Rattenberg NDB, ATC commands 200 KIAS and 9500' to intercept RTT (Goal 1). You are also advised to enter a holding pattern at RTT, your fix, to allow time for snow removal from the runway. The pattern is standard right-hand turns with 1.5 minute legs and 200 knots at 9500'. The inbound track is 226°, while outbound is 46°. Winds are high, so you will have to compensate to stay aligned in the pattern and certify (Goal 2). Next up is to achieve a stabilized approach on the steep glide slope to runway 25 as Goal 2. The final goal is a safe full stop landing on runway 26 at elevation 1894' The descent is near 4° gradient and the runway VOR (111.1) is offset to the right, thus the “challengeâ€. Complete all three goals and you certify to fly to LOWI and receive a Reward.

I've always had a particular fondness for Tofino CYAZ, located on the west coast of Vancouver Island. I made my first Tofino scenery in 2005 using Lago's FSE, and an updated version in 2006 using EZ-Scenery. Neither of those included custom models. This final version is a complete, from-the-ground-up rebuild. Every building and many of the other scenery objects are custom made based on photos and using photo textures. (The images in the "Tour" folder will take you on a tour of the real and virtual airport.) In the time since the first two virtual versions were made, a new terminal building has been added to the east ramp at the real Tofino, along with some new hangers, and the scenery includes these changes. Tofino has an NDB instrument approach (CYAZ NDB A.pdf), but night operations are not allowed. For this reason the new terminal building has no night lighting. The golf clubhouse restaurant and pro shop are open after dark for your shopping and dining pleasure. This scenery represents many hours of work...I hope you enjoy it.

A high quality AFCAD2 file the John Wayne-Orange Co (KSNA) scenery by Shehryar Ansari. This file features assigned gates for all airlines that currently serve SNA. An extensive GA parking area has been added to the airport and includes Helipads. Cargo ramps for resident cargo operators FedEx and UPS are also provided. The aprons feature correct surfaces, and a tower view is now available at the airport. Nearly every available space at this airport has been used to provide a total of 83 parking positions, comprising 7 gates for regional jets, 14 gates for mainline aircraft, 4 Cargo Ramps and 58 GA ramps (7 of these can take a BBJ). Assigned parking is also provided for Martin Aviation, who have a base at SNA. Requires the scenery addon SNA2004.zip and SNA2004SP.zip by Shehryar Ansari - Not recommended to be used with the default FS airport. This file replaces the AFCAD that was released in 2005, and provides up to date gate assignments as of April 2010. Previous Version had 3672 downloads. Enjoy!

Looking to bring FlyTampa's Kai Tak scenery to life? This package will do that! Included are all 1998 flightplans and repaints required for Cathay Pacific, Cathay Pacific Cargo, Air Macau, Air Hong Kong, and Dragonair on FAIB and FSPX models with P3Dv4 native textures. Passenger flights are based off of the summer 1998 Offical Airline Guide(OAG), while Air Hong Kong and Cathay Cargo are representative based off early 2000s schedules and backdated to represent 1998. Included are up to 3 versions of each airline; standard, lite(with minimal variations), and bonus(including extra textures/aircraft not active in 1998 but from that era). Note that the FS Painter models are payware and this package does not support FS2004/FSX. This package is a small part of a much larger 1998 AI Project that will include all scheduled, cargo, and charter flights to project countries along with select GA and military traffic and backdated airport scenery/ADEX. This version of Terrace has night textures that work, good news for the 319 downloaders who did not tell the author that the ones already posted did not work. Why? Terrace is fifteen miles east and inland from Prince Rupert, which is 500 miles north of Vancouver up the BC coast. It is at the point in the mountains where two fjords meet, one coming from Prince Rupert and the other from Kitimat. There are two runways, the main one is a recently-extended 7,500 feet long and lighted 33/15 and the second is 5,373 feet of unlit 03/21. The apron has been enlarged to be able to accomodate a Boeing 737; though I don't think there is an airline using a 737 for flights to Terrace I have parked an Air Canada jet and the pics show the planes that do fly to Terrace, Air Canada and Hawk Air Dash 8-300's. The aircraft and the textures are down-loadable and and can be used for AI.

This version includes the correct Piper Cub texture, unreported by all but one downloader (why?).

These are three DEW line sites in northern mainland Canada, to the east of Tuktoyaktuk.
Clinton Point is almost 300 miles east of Tuktoyaktuk and on the Northwest Territories and Nunavut border. It is the site of a closed DEW station (closed in 1993) and all the buildings have been removed, unlike many other sites where buildings are still almost complete. The roads and the gravel runway down by the beach are still there.
Horton River is 150 miles east of Tuktoyaktuk, up on higher land above the cliffs at around 500 feet ASL. The NWS (North Warning System) replaced the I site which was there previously and which ceased operations in 1963. The NWS is serviced by helicopter from a barge 400 yards away on the beach.
Keats Point is 270 miles east of Tuktoyaktuk, 7 miles from the coast but significantly close to a lake, which was probably used for float plane delivery in the summer (or ski plane delivery in the winter) of NWS station elements during construction.

Shemya is pretty well AT the western end of the Aleutian chain of islands in Alaska, around 240 miles west of Amchitka. There is no town on Shemya and the whole island is occupied (and owned) by the Air Force. There are three runways, two of which are from the 1940's and are now unused; in fact one of them has been partly ploughed up and also used for outdoor storage. The single in-use runway is aligned 10-28 and is 10,000 feet of 150 feet wide asphalt with an ils on 28, the runway that is used 99% of the time. The base is now not active but is maintained as a refuelling facility, so for landing and takeoff purposes it is open. The older and now unused areas are those where the hangers are slowly rusting away and the asphalt is turning green with encroaching and well-watered wildlife plants. The tower is now closed, so there is no atc and you just announce your intentions. Read the history of Shemya, a lot happened there.

This is an accurate and up-to-date version of Baiyun Intl Airport and made only for FSX, do not use in P3D: The new Terminal 2 now added, when Terminal 2 opens it will be home to China Southern Airlines as well as other SkyTeam member airlines such as China Eastern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Air France and Korean Airlines, the new runway 2R/20L added with ILS and transitions included for it, all runways now have their correct numbers and the approaches corrected for them, assigned parking as per their website with extra parking including the overnight aprons plus gates added for the A380, the FedEx ramp and buildings updated, the STAG maintenance ramp and buildings also included, the GA ramp now moved to the south of the airport, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt, fuel tank farm and many other scenery objects and improvements included for a more realistic look, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

This package will add the missing Area 51 airport (credited as KXTA according to some sources) to Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. It will add the following items, but YOU CONTROL IF THEY ARE ACTIVE IN FS2004 via the scenery library (directions are included in the manual):
* KXTA in the proper location with assocated scenery including airport buildings, antenna arrays on Bald Mountain and Papoose Mountain, even an SUV in the general location of "Freedom Ridge"; the one time favortie observation point for civilians wanting to keep an eye on what our "Uncle" is up to out there in the desert.
* New KLAS, KLSV, and KINS to add appropriate parking (Again you don't HAVE to use them, so if you already have a MOD for one of these, you can simply elect not to activate mine)
* New skin for the default 737-400 in EG&G Janet colors.
* AI F-22 Raptor
