This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47B 79001 of the Swedish Air Force that was at the start of the Catalina affair (Swedish: Catalinaaffären), a military confrontation and Cold War-era diplomatic crisis in June 1952, in which Soviet fighter jets shot down two Swedish aircraft over international waters in the Baltic Sea. The first aircraft to be shot down was an unarmed Swedish Air Force Tp 79, a derivative of the Douglas DC-3, carrying out radio and radar signals intelligence-gathering for the National Defence Radio Establishment. None of the crew of eight was rescued. The second aircraft to be shot down was a Swedish Air Force Tp 47, a Catalina flying boat, involved in the search and rescue operation for the missing DC-3. The Catalina's crew of five was saved. The Soviet Union publicly denied involvement until its dissolution in 1991. The aircraft was manufactured in 1943 with original US serial number 42-5694, and was delivered to USAAF 15th Troop Carrier Squadron (61st Troop Carrier Group). It saw action in northern Africa before being stationed at RAF Barkston Heath. On June 13, 1952, it disappeared east of the isle of Gotska Sandön while carrying out signals intelligence-gathering operations for the Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment. Both aircraft were located in 2003, and the DC-3 was salvaged, and the wreckage is currently on display in the Swedish Air Force Museum near Linköping. | Bethel: St Mary's area airfields in southwest Alaska close to the Yukon River |

This presumes you have already installed Bethel PABE and Bethel Local Airfields. In the Yukon River area of Alaska to the north of Bethel there are small villages, served by flights from both Bethel and the nearer St Mary's PASM. St Mary's has a gravel runway like the other villages, but has a larger population and airport services including maintenance and fuel. This, plus the saving of an average one hundred miles of flying by a Cessna 205 when compared with flights from Bethel, means it acts as a distribution centre fed from Bethel by larger aircraft. Go to "http://vfrmap.com/" for free vfr maps of the area (see the attached). The ten village airfields included here are all to the north and west of St Mary's: Hooper Bay PAHP, Chevak VAK, Cape Romanzof PACZ (closed air force field servicing a radar station), Scammon Bay SCM, Sheldon Point SXP, Alakanuk AUK, Emmonak PAEM, Kotlik 2A9, Mountain Village MOU, and of course St Mary's PASM itself. With these airfields not everything is as it appears to be. For instance, Hooper Bay is not a new and modernised airfield, despite the asphalt runway and apron; the current version has dispensed with the aging asphalt and gone back to gravel. I have tended to go for the 2005 or so versions, which sometimes means a small runway amid or close to the housing; Kotlik was an early renewal for reasons of safety as much as anything else and has had (since 2003?) a new and longer runway located outside of the town. The second batch of airfields will be to the east of St Mary's.

File Description:
The Skylab space station was launched May 14, 1973, from the NASA
Kennedy Space Center by a huge Saturn V launch vehicle, the moon
rocket of the Apollo Space Program. Sixty-three seconds after liftoff,
the meteoroid shield--designed also to shade Skylab's workshop
--deployed inadvertently. It was torn from the space station by
atmospheric drag. This event and its effects started a ten-day period
in which Skylab was beset with problems that had to be conquered
before the space station would be safe and habitable for the three
manned periods of its planned eight-month mission.

Epic repair mission which brought Skylab into working order. Included
such great moments as Conrad being flung through space by the whiplash
after heaving on the solar wing just as the debris constraining it
gave way; deployment of a lightweight solar shield, developed in
Houston in one week, which brought the temperatures down to tolerable
levels. With this flight US again took manned spaceflight duration
record.

Five missions for the USAF F-51D of the "Sabre Vs MiG"add-on of Fligh1.Included Scenery of the main Mustangs base in the Korean war: K-10 Chinhae and a revision of the DP file for the Yak-9.
The missions were acomplished in the first days of November 1950 and are quite veridical; geographical,coordinates, units, dates, airfield bases,meteo,squadrons, pilots,etc.
No real is the standard Yak-9 supplied by Fligh1. The aircraft paint represent a V-VS(Russian Air Force)
fighter with the typical Russian camouflage; actually no Yak-9 were operated with Russian insignias in
Korea. The planes, models Yak-9P and Yak-9U, were assigned to the KPAFAC(North Korean Air Force) and
flew by crews of this nacionality, his painting scheme was a Russian post-war light blue grey with the
KPAFAC roundels under of the wings and in fuselage sides.The pilots were rookies but some success was achieved: one USAF F-80C of the 36 FBS,was shot down the 19-Jul-1950 by one Yak-9(Actually the first Korean war victory of a one piston fighter over a Jet);B-29s,F-51s,F-82s, were others victories of the Yaks in the early phase of the Korean war.V-VS had operated with a few LA-11.I have planned a repaint of the Yak-9 with the real colours of the KPAFAC and eventually convert to flight.

In order to use this repaint, you must have the PMDG 737 NGX installed. The NGX is a payware aircraft. This file includes the 900 "Non-Winglet" instructions also as an added bonus.
This paint is the paint that my new Video Paint Tutorials focus on, and is the actual paint I show you how to create yourself. Since you might want to paint something different than what I chose to paint, I want you to at least have this paint as reference. It is a highly modeled paint, meaning I did every single rivet and line completely from scratch. This is also something you will learn in the tutorial, but also the files themselves can be studied on your own. I like to try things that no one else has tried, and do them differently for painters to use as blueprints of their own work. We can all learn a lot from one another and I hope what I have here can benefit a painter and give you lots of enjoyment flying. If you're not interested in being a painter, that's fine as well. File Description:
The Prudhoe Bay area of the Alaska north slope is dominated by all the equipment and machinery that is necessary for the extraction of oil and its transfer by the pipeline that reaches south to Valdez. Prudhoe Bay airport is now closed, and its replacement just to the south is Deadhorse PASC, with numerous storage, maintenance, and accomodation areas immediately to the north of the apron, and others adjacent to the road between the two. The runway is just under 6,500 feet with approach lights at both ends and ILS on 04 (true heading of 75 degrees). This scenery reflects the overall situation in 2011 and oil production facilities and buildings are included here. The airport buildings and those close to the airport are replicas of the real life buildings; while as distance increases the accuracy fades somewhat there are everywhere replica trucks and cross country vehicles that are true to life. Deadhorse handles around 7,000 passengers per month as staff are rotated in and out on Alaska Air and ERA flights and by oil company private flights. There are also freight flights to complement the trucking effort up the Dalton Highway. The Alaska Airlines terminal building and ERA (the red buildings nearby) are at one end of the apron, while at the other end is a very large and new green terminal, storage, hangar building built by the airport authority. All of the airport components, runways, taxiways, and aprons, are built up on a gravel base to raise them above the surrounding terrain that floods with melting snow, freezes, or dries out, according to the seasons. There are other new airstrips included here that serve the oil industry. Around 33 miles to the east is Badami PABP airport servicing a subsiduary oil producing area, with 5,000 feet of gravel runway. Some 28 miles to the west of Deadhorse is Ugnu-Kuparuk UBW with just over 6,000 feet of gravel (gravel in 2011, it is now asphalted) servicing oil production by Conoco Phillips, which uses 737's to fly staff in and out. A further 32 miles west is Alpine AK15 with 5,400 feet of gravel and also served by the Conoco Phillips 737's. To the south of Alpine and connected by road is the village of Nuiqsut. To the north of Alpine and reachable only by air in the delta of the Sagavanirktok River is CD-3, an oil collection and pump station area with another gravel runway of 3,000 feet. Other airstrips that were prviously posted are now updated, Nuiqsut and Oliktok. I experimented, but decided against trying to reproduce the several hundred miles of pipelines. The are new AI aircraft, and there are notes regarding downloading. There is a new "cement" texture (not its name, but used as that by SBuilder) for the built up gravel bases. It is slightly darker than the original but not so much that any previous use will be spoilt. You may wish to download my "Alaska Frozen Rivers and Lakes" which freezes lakes and the northern sea and makes them landable on wheels.

This package is a campaign with 26 single training missions from basic tasks (e.g. traffic patterns) to tactical operations (e.g. combat landings).
The mission package is designed for the IRIS Battlefield Airlifter (Payware) but may be used also with other aircraft.
The italian airforce is providing an Alenia / Leonardo C-27 Spartan for training and evaluation by Royal Airforce at Brize Norton.
You are one of the pilots who is trained by an itlaian crew for basic and advanced operations at Brize-Norton Airbase.
In the end You have to transfer the first brand new RAF C27 from Italy to UK.
All locations used are default scenery. Eventually You have to adjust starting positions or waypoints if You are using special scenery for the theatre of operations.

Civilian "CS" (Competizione Sportiva=Sporting Race) versions of the known medium and torpedo bomber Savoia-Marchetti S.79 "Sparviero", deployed by Regia Aeronautica, or Italian Royal Air Force, were successfully flown (w/civil marks) in the "Istres-Damascus-Paris (Lindberg Cup)" 1937 air race, where they ranked the first three places of the final scoreboard. The also "civilian" "T" (Transatlantic) version of the very same S.79 performed exceptionally in the 1938 Atlantic crossing Roma-Dakar-Rio de Janeiro and in a 1939 experimental test meant to verify the feasibility of an airline passengers and mail line between Italy and South America for the civilian airlines (Ala Littoria S.A.- Linee Aeree Atlantiche, later called L.A.T.I./Linee Aeree Transcontinentali Italiane) over the routes of Southern Atlantic Ocean.
3 new different GMax models, covering 3 different versions of the civilian S.79 described above and featuring the standard animated parts, such as all flight controls, props pitch and leading-edge slats. Ten (10) different liveries depicting all the S.79CS team which flew the 1937 Istres-Damascus-Paris Race, the 1938 Roma-Rio de Janeiro Expedition and 1939 Transatlantic Test flight. This plane was originally developed for FS9, but an FSX version is also available in another separated release. VC only.
