Black Cat Catalina PBY5/5Av1.1 for x-plane

File Description:
This update includes improvements to the fuselage shape, addition of retractable wing floats using wheel farings, an improved but not custom panel, improved prop efficiency and more. The PBY Catalina is probably the best known flying boat with over 4000 produced by Consolidated aircraft and licensees. The Black Cat squadrons all done in flat black played havoc particularly for the Japanese in the Pacific. Fitted with radar, with a 15 hour endurance and 2800 mile range they hunted Japanese naval ships by night and bombed or torpedoed them by the hundreds up. There are 6 engine nacelles used in the model, 2 represent the 1200 HP radial engines driving the props, the others are jets with 5 lbs of thrust, 1 is used for the rear fuselage section, 1 is used for the wing pylon, 1 is used for the flare from the fuselage to the vertical stabilizer and the last is used for the forward observation and gunner space. Two are not used. Wing sections are taken up by the main wing and the support spars so there you go. The fuel tanks are used for the side gunner pods since these can be decorated separately. The plane flies very well and is stable as a rock. Takeoffs from water are quite easy as long as you don't dip a wing tip (no floats remember). CYFD Brantford Municipal Airport, Ontario, Canada Version 1.0

File Description:
I decided to make Brantford a little more like the real thing. I also changed the landclass in the area to make it more realistic as this is where I live. Here are the changes I have made. -- Modified the airport in AFCAD2 to have the aircraft park on either side of the large apron as they do in real life , Corrected the runway lengths and added the connector between the runway ends at the north side of the airport , Added AI Flightplans (see details below) , Added a landclass update so that the area appears as it does in real life. There are now more farms around the airport as well as in the Burford area. The towns of Burford (my hometown) and Scotland are added, the Long Point Conservation Authority Forest is added to the west of Burford, and the Burford Golf Links appear beside the 403 (divided highway) to the north west of town. --AI Flightplans I tried to make the AI traffic as realistic as possible. I have training aircraft doing touch and goes 7 days a week. A few DC-3's have been restored at the airport so I have a DC-3 that flies for testflights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7am to 12:30pm. A learjet flies to Chicago on business days. It departs at 8am and arrives at 1:59pm. Also, a 182 flies up to Timmins on the weekends. It departs on Saturday at 9am and arrives home on Sunday at 11:36am.

TUI Airlines Belgium Winter 04-05 (version 2)

File Description:
FS2002/2004 "TUI Airlines Belgium" representative charter flight plans for the winter 2004-2005 period, which have been compiled according to the company information for the week 07 Mar 2005 - 13 Mar 2005. This version is an UPDATE of my previous release due to the arrival of their own Boeing 767-300ER. TUI Airlines Belgium (TUB) is a charter airline based in Belgium, flying with three 737-400, two 737-800W, and one 767-300ER from its main base Brussels-National as well as from regional airports of Liège and Oostende. As for all charter company, flights differs from one week to one another but this file comprises its main destinations regularly visited throughout the winter period. The TUB winter season flights comprises both medium- and long-haul destinations from Brussels, Liège and Oostende-Brugge to Agadir, Alicante, Almeria, Cancun, Djerba, Faro, Fuerteventura, Hurghada, Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Luxor, Malagà, Marrakech, Monastir, Montego Bay, Pafos, Palma de Mallorca, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Santa Cruz (La Palma), Sharm el Sheikh, and Tenerife-Sur, and Varadero. As from spring 2005, TUB will launch scheduled services to Agadir, Cairo, Marrakech, Tanger, Toulon, as well as new charter flights to Ajaccio, Bastia, Marsa Alam, Funchal, plus many other charter destinations to Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey. File Description: For Manfred Jahn's C-47 with Jan Visser's VVC, version 3.14 repaint of DDA (Dutch Dakota Association) Classic Airlines. The only flying DC-3/C-47 in the Netherlands at the moment. Hopefully joined by her sister (PH-DDZ) in the near future. The new 2018 livery of the DDA Dakota is going back to it's roots, as it royal colours in which it flew in the '50 and '60. Also added some more details, especially at the tires and gear struts. The VC textures are repainted to get the cockpit as much in line with the real one. Cessna 421 advanced physics

File Description:
C421C advanced physics Modification for the Alabeo C421 C Golden Eagle Version: tested for P3DV4; should work also with P3DV5 (and probably FSX) 1. Why I developed the advanced physics version I was asked via this forum, via PMs and also by e-mails to provide a modified version of the Alabeo C421C which can be used for serious multi-engine training. It should have accurate type specific performance for both AEO (all engine operative) and OEI (one engine inoperative), the latter for either a windmilling prop at various speeds and for a feathered engine. Feathering should work as realistic as possible. Thus, I developed an advanced physics version of the Alabeo C421C. It shows realistic physics for negative thrust (prop drives engine). This is necessary for OEI training and more realistic idle power simulation. 2. Modified files Modification includes “c421.air” and “aircraft.cfg” files. Data is based on real world Cessna 421C, N100L, 421C-0313. Aircraft data, equipment list, checklist and other documents for N100L, as well as some images of C421C, registration N100L, can be found here, too. Unfortunately, due to copyrights, I can’t upload the full files and can’t provide the AFM and other copyright protected documents. 3. How to install To update “c421.air”: - Copy the original Alabeo C421 to another aircraft folder, e.g. “C421C advanced physics”. - Use AirEd (freeware) and open the original “c421.air”. Open AirEd a second time and open “modifications advanced physics c421.air”. Copy the modified tables 511 and 512 to the original .air file (right click in modification file -> copy -> right click on original file -> replace from clipboard) To update “aircraft.cfg”: Just copy the modifications to the corresponding position in the original file. 4. Legend of modifications Modifications in aircraft.cfg: - Basic Empty Mass (actual mass for N100L 5,154 lbs inserted; most C421C are more heavy, ours is on diet) - correct basic data for engines + props - engine friction included (necessary for all negative thrust scenarios) - flaps lift + drag scalar adjusted (split flaps) - 2 vacuum pumps - VMO = 151 KIAS; VNE= 240 KIAS - cabin: max. differential pressure: 5.0 psi Modifications in c421.air: - implemented negative thrust scenarios in prop thrust and efficiency curves (tables 511 + 512); adjusted thrust curves for high TAS at high ALT 5. Side effects of modifications: - more realistic engine starting: starting the engine needs the throttle to be 2 cm above idle (see checklist) for the first 15 seconds - if you start the engine and don’t retard the prop to medium RPMs immediately, you will overstress engine and prop. So be careful when doing an air start, you might lose the prop and the aircraft. (In the real aircraft, these effects are less severe, but you have to avoid high RPMs until the engine is warmed up and have to avoid rapid change of RPM.) 6. Additional Notes: - Basic aircraft data as published by the manufacturer, like range and service ceilings, especially OEI, are based on MTOM. - The use of high payloads close to MTOM and higher ambient temperatures are making for a more challenging OEI training. - In the sim, climb power is too low compared to full power (about 65 % instead of 75 %). I have to find a way to adjust that. - I have buttons for engine failure under the mixture (see images) - Seat Position is, like in many Aircraft, higher than as per Default by the sim. For the C421C and me being 5 ft 7 in, that's about 7 clicks arrow up.

Air Ceylon, Lockheed L-749A Constellation, 1956-1958

Air Ceylon was formed in 1947 by the government of the newly independent Republic of Ceylon (nowadays Sri Lanka). That same year three Lockheed L-749 Constellations were ordered for the connection Colombo-London. The order for the Connies lapsed and in 1949 Air Ceylon started a service operating Douglas DC-4s leased from Australian National Airways (ANA), who owned 49% of the shares (the other 51% were owned by the government of Ceylon). However, fierce competition from BOAC's DH-104 Comet 1 and TWA's L-749 Constellation forced Air Ceylon to close the London connection in 1953. In 1955 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines took over the shares from ANA. From 7 February 1956 till 1 November 1958 Air Ceylon leased KLM's L-749A Constellation PH-LDP for its new, weekly connection Colombo-(Bombay)-Karachi-Bahrain-Cairo-Rome-London-Amsterdam. For a limited period this route was extended from Colombo to Bangkok. PH-LDP was sprayed in a very pretty, exotic livery and received the name 'Mahadevi', its previous name having been 'Rotterdam'. In November 1958 PH-LDP was superseded by KLM's L-1049G Super Constellation PH-LKA/4R-ACH which also received a full Air Ceylon livery. On 3 November 1958 PH-LDP was written from use at Schiphol (Amsterdam) and has been scrapped sometime in 1962.

Mumbai is having frequent commissioning and decommissioning of various features especially aprons and stands and twy changing nomenclature. Middle marker for rwy 27 has been permanently withdrawn so the missed approach point of the GP inop. procedure had been amended as 1D ILS/DME in place of middle marker(mm). Lockheed VC-121A Constellation "Columbine II"

File Description:
The Lockheed C-121A Constellation is the military transport version of the L-749A Constellation. Delivered on 22 November 1948, this particular aircraft was soon converted to VC-121A VIP-transport. From November 1952 till November 1954 this was the personal transport of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. In 1952, President Eisenhower was flying to Florida. The Presidential plane was named 'Columbine II' (after the official flower of Colorado, the First Lady's home state), but it was identified to flight controllers as "Air Force 610" (from its tail number 48-610). However, flying in the same general region was Eastern Airlines Flight 610. The Eastern Airlines pilot overheard a conversation between flight controllers and the President's plane, and for a moment thought the references to flight "610" were meant for him. Although nothing untoward happened, the government realized that the confusion could have been tragic. Since then, any Air Force aircraft with the President on board has been referred to as "Air Force One." Thus, the 'Columbine II' was the first aircraft to be distinguished with this designation, and she served President Eisenhower for several years in this role. The usual pilots were Acft. Cmdr. (Lt.) Col. William G. Draper and Pilot Maj. William W. Thomas. This repaint has been tested in FS2004 only. However, it should be working in FSX also. You will require Team 749's (Manfred Jahn and Co) Lockheed L-749 Constellation package (LOCKHEED749.ZIP), the folder Lockheed_L749_0 (twin stack exhausts). Also required Team 749's Lockheed L-749 Constellation models update (749_MODELS_UPDATE.ZIP). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer, with a big thankyou to Eric Joiner for his permission to use his Columbine nose art.
