The new airport will also have a cargo complex, parallel taxi track, three-link taxiway and hangars for a flying club.

It is the second busiest cargo airport in Brazil. The airport is currently going through an expansion phase which will eventuall include a second runway.
The scenery includes a relocated runway and new taxiways, enlarged aprons, new termianals and airbridges, and other buildings including parking garages.
