File Description:
This pack contains 16 animated Hot air Balloons and 13 groups of animated paragliders at various places in South England and Wales(paragliders in Jersey also). S.O.D.E at least 1.63 and preferably 1.65 is required. The objects are influenced by, weather, time of day, month of year and days of the year or week. Balloons at -GOWER, PWLHELLI, TAUNTON, BATH etc. Paragliders at - IOW, STROUD, BURTON BRADSTOCK etc.

B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2270, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #2. Pilot: Lt. Travis Hoover, Co-Pilot: Lt. William N. Fitzhugh, Navigator: Lt. Carl R. Wildner, Bombardier: Lt. Richard E. Miller, Flight Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Douglas V. Radney. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Texture, and Damage Files included. Douglas VC-118-DO 'The Independence'

File Description:
Built at Santa Monica, CA (c/n 42881/29) as the personal aircraft of President Harry S. Truman. It was named 'The Independence' after President Truman's home town in Missouri. The aircraft was delivered on 1 July 1947 and served from 4 July 1947 on as a presidential aircraft till 1953 when Gen. Dwight Eisenhower became President of the USA. It seems that the rather special paint job was based on an idea by President Truman himself. 46-0505 served on as a general VIP transport till 1966 when it was donated to the Smithonian Institute for preservation. It is on loan to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. 'The Independence' could accommodate for 24 day or 12 sleeper passengers (in the main cabin). It had a luxurious State Room aft of the passenger door. Usually there was a crew of eight. It is featured here in its original tan, blue and metal livery. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great Douglas DC-6 (early version) (dc6_v10.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.
