I am very proud to present this very detailed and realistic repaint of the BAC 1-11 204AF model by David Maltby in the classic US Air livery from the early 80's. This was one of the original jets flown by US Air. It flew side by side in their fleet with the B727, DC9 and 737-200. This repaint is the result of a major overhaul of the paintkit for this aircraft, and is very detailed and realistic. The many new details and hand repainted items include; custom metal fuselage, custom windows, custom tail textures, hand painted wheels, and also much needed night lighting and night textures. The US Air logo is also hand painted. All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps. This repaint is dedicated to Lorne Jordan, a Canadian simmer who inspired this project and who helped Q/A this repaint so we didn't miss a detail. Thanks to the permission granted by of the gracious and talented David Maltby (creator of this aircraft model), this is a full installation package, complete with 2D panel, virtual cockpit and BAC 1-11 sounds. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of C-121 Phoenix 6. It was built with c/n 4125 in 1953 and went to the US Navy as an R7V-1 with BuNo 131624. It was assigned to VX-6 in 1958, coded JD and named "Phoenix 6". It was used anually for Operation Deep Freeze, supply flights from New Zealand to McMurdo Sound on Antarctica between 1958 and 1971. She was put up for sale, but when there were no takers, she was scrapped in 1971. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

These textures represent the Grumman F7F-3P Tigercat BuNo 80457 of the US Marine Corps, Marine Photo Squadron VMP-354 at MCAS Cherry Point, NC, in 1949. You will require the Grumman F7F-3 Tigercat, which you'll find in Milton Shupe & Team's FS2004 Grumman F7F-1, -3, -3N Series (f7ffs9.zip) package. The original textures were made by Gordon "gman5250" Madison. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

File Description:
The town of Kotzebue is in the far northwest of Alaska, and these are villages to the north and then the east of Kotzebue on the South Slope of the Brooks Range of mountains. There will be further additions. Noatak is a small village (population now around 520 and rising) on the west bank of the Noatak River, around 50 miles north of Kotzebue. It is on the edge of the Noatak National Preserve and as the only village on the river is the centre for fishing, rafting, canoe, and other types of outdoor expeditions. The airfield has almost 5,000 feet of lit gravel just south of the town, aligned 18-36. There are scheduled flights by Era (now renamed Ravn) and by Bering Air, both of them originating in Kotzebue and routing north to Noatak, Kivalina, Point Hope, and then back again. The AI includes these flights plus a daily Everts Air cargo flight and GA. There are new bgl's for Kotzebue; the development of the northern and eastern AI meant that more dedicated parking spaces were needed at Kotzebue. The two new Bering Air planes are as listed in the AI folder, and there is also a new Era Cessna 208 to be installed. The next South Slope scenery will be Noorvik ORV, to the east of Kotzebue.
