Swedish Air Force Saab J-35 Draken (Part 1). The Draken was designed as a Cold War-era interceptor, but proved over time to be a capable dogfighter, and was also modified into both a recce aircraft and an antiship strike platform. First flying in 1955, with 651 aircraft built, the Draken was exported to three countries, and aged gracefully over a 45-year operational career. Some Drakens are still in service in the US as test pilot school aircraft. I present an 8-LOD AI traffic model to bring another Cold War icon to the flightsim world. This package represents the J-35A (long and short fuselage), J-35B, and J-35D in the service of the Swedish Air Force, with 16 models and 90 repaints. Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 Fishbed (Part 8). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this iconic aircraft of modern military history. With over 15,000 airframes of all types, including license-manufacture, the MiG-21 is the second-highest produced jet fighter of all time (next to the MiG-15 at 18,000+); and is the highest-produced jet fighter in the post-1960 'missile' age.
The model is an 8-LOD model, with quite a bit of XML animation and effects. This aircraft has been used operationally by 53 countries across fifty years, with extensive combat experience world-wide, and hundreds are still in service to this day.
Part 8 is dedicated to Chengdu and Guizhou-built J-7 Skybolt aircraft for PLAAF use. Variants included are the J-7I, J-7II, J-7III, J-7E, J-7G, and JJ-7. With loadout options, there are a total of 25 models and 25 paints in this package. Additionally, I threw in the paint kits with this final part, they are usable with either part 7 or part 8 models. Multiple credits are given in the documentation for everybody who pitched in to help on this one. Base model, paint kit, and textures by Michael Pearson.

This package contains textures only in Danish green paint scheme livery, for FS2004 Saab J 35J Draken 2.41 full package by Thomas Nilsson/Bookmark Digital Graphics. You will need the model j35j241.zip which can be found at AVSIM. SAAB 35XD Draken for Flight Simulator 2004 \nVersion 2.41 2006-03-20 \n© 2006 Thomas Nilsson/Bookmark Digital Graphics\The Saab 35 Draken is a supersonic interceptor using a double delta wing. The first prototype of this aircraft flew late in 1955, entering production in 1957. The aircraft is a single-seat, single-engine configuration equipped with 30mm cannons and air-to-air Sidewinder missiles. It can operate from small airfields due to its high thrust-to-weight ratio and the fitment of a parachute to assist with braking. In all, over 600 Drakens were built, the last example taking to the air 1972. For Denmark the Saab 35XD was developed. Based on the J 35F but was upgraded with more internal fuel, stronger gear, arrester hook, improved avionics and cockpit layout, new weapon pylons which resulted in redesigned outer wings. Three versions were built from the Saab 35XD variant: Here a single seat fighter repainted in the liverie of "AR-116" Esk.729.

File Description:
Thomas Hudner AFB is a fictitious Air Force Base located at Henderson Island, a member of the Pitcairn Islands in the Pacific. Located in a sheltered bay on the east side of the island, the airport features a 7500' x 120' paved runway, several hangars, barracks, and a fire dept. This airport also features a Delta V rocket and launch pad, a container ship being unloaded offshore by hovercrafts, and a small military ship. The default FSX scenery at this island has been completely replaced with custom scenery and terrain based on satellite photos.
This scenery requires the FSX Acceleration expansion pack for all of the objects to show up properly. Also, for some reason, Ground Environment X causes the sand textures to show up as rain forest. This is purely a visual quirk and the airport will still work, but it is up to you. This airport is not designed for FS2004, but you may try it at your own risk. Special thanks to Ashton Lawson for his invaluable help on this project.
