| P-51D 31st FG/308th FS HL-N 'Flying Dutchman' |

In December 1943, Robert Goebel was assigned as a Replacement Pilot to the Mediterranean Theatre of Operations. He shipped out to North Africa and arrived at Oran, Algeria. He was assigned to the Supermarine Spitfire equipped 31st Fighter Group of the 12th Air Force and was checked out in the Spitfire at Telergma. As he joined the 31st FG at Castel Volturno, Italy on April 1, 1944, the Group had started a transition to the North American P-51B Mustang and its main mission changed from Close Support of front-line troops to Fighter Escort for the heavy bombers of the 15th Air Force. Lt. Goebel was assigned to the 308th Fighter Squadron. Eventually, the 31st FG were equipped with the P-51D-model Mustangs. Captain Goebel flew 61 combat missions from the 31st FG's base at San Severo, Italy including one of the FRANTIC Russian Shuttle missions. He led the 308th FS into combat seven times and the entire 31st FG into battle twice. Captain Goebel, still only 21 years old, rotated home to the USA as a highly decorated fighter ace with 11 aerial victories.

| Airblue Airbus A319-112 |

File Description:
Virtual Airblue in association with Virtual PIA proudly presents the Project Airbus A319-112 in Airblue colours. Airblue is a Pakistan based LCC that operates throughout the Middle East and to Europe, besides domestic operations. The young airline has fast become the main competitor of national flag carrier PIA. This aircraft, previously operated by Skybus (USA) was acquired by Airblue after the former airline went bust, and has since been operating on a number of local and international routes. This aircraft wears the registration AP-BIF, and is equipped with slim recaro seats that provide maximum comfort and legroom for passengers. The repaint features accurately placed titles and photoreal tail texture adopted from a photograph. The registration appears on top of the right wing and the bottom of the left wing, and an airblue logo appears on the top of the left wing and the bottom of the right one. The Pakistani flag is placed next to the doors as well. Model features accurate dynamics plus 4 opening passenger doors and 2 cargo doors. Model by Project Airbus, repaint by Ahmed Ahsen exclusively from Virtual PIA(VPIA).

File Description:
Mission: Lindbergh's flight across the Atlantic for FSX. I got inspired by watching the movie "The Spirit of St Louis" with James Stewart. Good movie. When FS9 was released, many historical aircraft were released along with it. Many of these aircraft were flown manually with no autopilot or way to speed up the flight process. No one was going to sit at the computer for 34 hours to fly to Paris in the Spirit of St Louis. The Spirit is still difficult to fly because of the weight of the fuel. I have provided the necessary panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg along with this mission to make it easier to cross the Atlantic. In order to have the full affect you will need some additional files which are not provided with this package. They are provided in other packages as well as some payware packages. You will need the Roosevelt field scenery from AVSIM ( http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=54574). You will need the Spirit of St Louis from FS9 with the attached upgraded panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg. You should have the simicons1024 package in your gauges directory. You should have the concord gauges in your gauges directory. (concord.gau)

| Boeing B-17G "Sally B" G-BEDF |

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the FSX Wings of Power II Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, in the markings of "Sally B", the UK's last remaining airworthy B-17. One of the last Flying Fortress built at the Lockheed-Vega plant in Burbank, California, this aircraft was delivered new to the USAAF on June 19, 1945. Later, it was operated as a mapping surveyor in France before being brought to England in March 1975. In 1982, Ted White, the man who was responsible for bringing the aircraft to England, was tragically killed when his Harvard crashed at an air rally in Malta. In memory of Ted White, the inner starboard cowling will always be painted in yellow and black checkers, the same way Ted White's Harvard cowling was painted. For the past 31 years, "Sally B" has continued to fly, under the leadership of Elly Sallingboe and with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers. In 1990, "Sally B" played lead role in the movie "Memphis Belle," and continues to wear the same scheme she did during filming, with the exception of the Sally B nose art and checkered cowling.

The Beechcraft Baron 58 Alaska State Troopers Repaint has several blue and red stripes going down the tail, coming to an end on the bottom of the plane. On the bottom the lines don't meet up perfectly, but its the best I can do. Just under the pilot window, there is writing saying, "ALASKA STATE TROOPERS" in very readable letters. No requirements except FSX, and the default aircraft, Beachcraft Baron 58.
Please do not fly the aircraft outside of Alaska, as it was made for Alaska only. The inspiration came from the National Geographic show, 'Alaska State Troopers' and the fact that I was bored on a Friday afternoon. Thanks, I hope you enjoy it. Kugluktuk is on the coast of northern mainland Canada on the mouth of the Coppermine River. It is around 250 miles west of Cambridge Bay and 200 miles south of Ulukhaktok. Tuktoyaktuk is 450 miles west. Kugluktuk used to be called Coppermine as copper was mined along the banks of the river and used for spear and arrow heads, and this attracted a semi-permanent population. The population now numbers around 1,450. The airfield is inland from the village and the 5,500 feet of 100 feet wide gravel runway is aligned 121T/3301T where T stands for "true" as opposed to magnetic in the Northern Domestic Airspace. Both JETA-1 and 100LL are available, dispensed by a truck as the storage tanks are just off the northern edge of the field. There are flights by First Air and Canadian North and the AI includes a daily flight of each, plus a cargo visit by Buffalo; the closest large city is Yellowknife, 375 miles south. I should have mentioned a long time ago that to see the apron lights working requires you to have the "lights_ss_v2" by Sidney Schwartz installed.

There are four main northwestern Alaska towns which are serviced by Alaska Airlines, and from which local flights spread out. The northernmost is Barrow. Southwest of Barrow is Kotzebue, then Nome, and the furthest south is Bethel (not yet made). This is a continuation of the series for the flights from Kotzebue, 150 miles to the east where Shungnak is on the bank of the Kobuk River. The next addition will be a few miles further east, Kobuk and a strip just to the north of Kobuk. Shungnak is a small village, like Ambler, with a population of around 260 beside the Kobuk River, the river being the reason for the existance of the villages as it served (and still does) as both a source of food and a transport route. The airfield is just beside the village, with a runway around 4,000 feet of lit gravel and aligned 09-27, with PAPI on both ends. There are scheduled flights by Era (now renamed Ravn) and by Bering Air, both of them originating in Kotzebue and routing east to Ambler, Shungnak, Kobuk, and then back again. The AI includes these flights along with Everts Air and GA.

Tsuniah Lake Lodge is an airstrip that serves the Lodge of the same name at the western end of the lake. Tsuniah Lake is close to the eastern side of Chilko Lake, some 7 miles south of the northern end of Chilko Lake and the recent post of Tsylos Lodge. Tsuniah Lodge is at the eastern and lake end of the grass runway, which is 4,000 feet of grass aligned 04-22 and in good condition at 4,026 feet ASL. No lights. The lodge is extensive with numerous separate cabins and I would expect the prices to be up there with the cost of the chartered planes that delivered guests. There is a second airstrip included here, around 3 miles north of the northern end of Chilko Lake and which used to serve the Wilderness Ranch before it was closed. The runway closed I mean. It is still visible but now not used at all although the ranch still functions. I have posted this as Tsuniah Lake Lodge CAF4, but I suggest that you add this to your "BC airfields" folder as previously suggested. Up to you. If you find a defect, email me.
