PAKN - King Salmon - Alaska, US V1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is the final version, complete in itself and incorporating the two modifications posted separately. King Salmon is a town with a population of just under 400, on the north bank of the Naknek River and 15 miles from the sea. The airport is adjacent to the town and was originally an airforce base; the military hangars on the airport are still usable. The airport, with its long runway (11-29 and 8,500 feet with an ILS, and a second runway 18-36 and 4,000 feet) is a transportation hub for the area in general and in particular for the salmon industry. Along the Naknek River there are numerous canneries and there are also fishing lodges on the river and nearby lakes; to speed up transportation to the lodges there are float bases on the river to the south of the airport. King Salmon has three tiers of scheduled flights: Alaska Air direct from Anchorage in a 737 (passengers and cargo), PenAir (Saab turboprop) as part of their flights up and down the peninsula, and Grant Air serving nearby small towns. There are also PenAir flights, both scheduled and unscheduled, in smaller aircraft (Piper Navajo for instance) to smaller airports for the fishing season, plus cargo flights in larger aircraft by the lowest bidder (Everts and Northern). To complete the mix the AI includes a pair of F15s. The runways cross (see the airport diagram) so read the notes re long taxi routes. There is AI for PAKN, plus revised AI made for Dutch Harbor which includes flights by PenAir to King Salmon, plus revised parking for Dutch Harbor with new replacement bgls to cater for more flights. There is also AI for the float bases on the river; I have made two runways separated into two float bases for river AI, called King Salmon Floats and King Salmon River; more AI for these will be added when other scenery along the river is made. Just land according to the wind and taxi to whatever dock takes your fancy.

Pemberton CYPS in British Columbia Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Pemberton is a small village in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, with a permanent population of under 3,000 and reliant on logging and increasing tourism. It is around 40 miles north of Squamish and 15 miles north of Whistler and the flight north is best described as scenic. The Nairn Falls, a scenic attraction for tourists, are close by. The runway is 3,920 feet of asphalt aligned 06-24, between and close to the join of the Lillooet River and the Green River. The airfield buildings are to the north of the runway, and at the eastern end is a Fire Base for the expected summer forest fires. To the south and west is the Pemberton Golf Course. All the buildings are replicated, and once again this is not an airport, it is an airfield without any lighting and typical of my future posts which are updated versions of airfield scenery made some time ago and not posted. This one is probably more intricate than most that will follow. The lack of lighting is actually very sensible as landing in the mountains in the dark..... Gun Lake is included here, but not for regular use as it is a deserted dirt strip 40 miles to the north that was once used for fire fighting and there is nothing to see. Just a part of the scenery in this area of BC. If you want to follow this trip on Google Earth the next stop is Cache Creek. If you find a defect, email me. Do not email me about the strange doors to the front of the Blackcomb hangar. I was surprised when I saw it and then discovered that the "doors" are actually flexible curtains that are rolled up and down and if rolled down too far... I have the ok to use the Bell 212 CCG helicopter as a scenery object, but not to post the entire object library of the Red Deer CYQF scenery; if you have the scenery it should show up here.

Project Opensky Boeing 747-100v4 Native Conversion Base package for FSX/P3D Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Project Opensky Boeing 747100V4 Native Conversion for FSX/P3D is the first of the initial release of the POSKY 747V4 Classic Series, and it is a new conversion of the old top-hit freeware add-on aircraft series that is known to the Flight Simulation Community since FS2002, FS2004, and onwards to FSX and has been loved by thousands of Flight-simmers across the world because of its simple-but-great model, and completely free of charge. But with newer flight simulators on the line under the ESP Flight Simulator Type such as Lockheed Martin Prepar3DV4 and V5, the Project Opensky Boeing 747V4 Classic Series (which was only made for FS9) were slowly falling behind and couldn’t keep up with the current flight simulators today. And now, for the first time in 2020; this conversion has surfaced to the public and in the eyes of the flight simulation community. Destined to fly in the current flight simulators of today like FSX, FSX: Steam Edition, Prepar3D V1 to V4 and Prepar3D V5, this classic freeware had continued to live on into the new era, bringing nostalgia not only just to those who flown it before in FS2004, but also for a new generation who can relive classic scenes of the Jumbo Jet’s illustrious history through this iconic freeware add-on aircraft series in today’s flight simulator platforms. And the permission to convert the models was acquired from the developer who was the mind of the POSKY 747V4 Classic Series: Hiroshi Igami. And he gave our conversion team the green light to do so. Leading to this conversion to surface in the public for the first time. Follow the instructions in the Readme txt file. And read the documentation for more info and the credits on this base package. If you have any questions/comments or any problems while installing this base package, feel free to contact me on [email protected]

P-51D G-SIJJ "Jumpin'Jacques" Download

File Description:
"Jumpin Jacques" is a P-51D-20-NA model, built at North American’s Inglewood facility in California. Accepted by the USAAF on December 21 1944 as 44-72035, she was assigned to the 332nd fighter group in the Mediterranean Theatre of operations. The 332nd became very famous as the first all Afro American manned Group known as "The Tuskegee Airmen" although references to them at the time refer to them as "The Red Tails". She entered combat with the 15th Air force around March 1945 serving out the last few months of the war on escort and ground attack sweeps over Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. She still carries the battle scars to this day, with bullet repairs in several places on the fuselage. After the war, she was repatriated to the US and served with several ANG units. She was released from active duty in 1953 and in 1956 sold to Whitman Enterprises, CA, who registered her as N5411V. She remained in the Us until 1981, when she was sold to Colombia. In 1989, she was bought by Jacques Bourret of Aero Retro, based in St.Rambert, France, with the registration F-AZMU. When looking for a colour scheme for the P-5, Jacques came upon the photo of a Mustang named "Jumpin’ Jacques" and could not resist adopting this as the new scheme. The original "Jumpin’ Jacques" was flown by Lt Jacques E Young of the 3rd Fighter Squadron, 3rd Air Commando Group, a unit that operated out of the Philippines. At present, she is with the Hangar11 group of North Weald, UK, flying with the registration G-SIJJ. She has been repainted completely in early 2007, and it is this paintscheme that is depicted with this repaint. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters P-51D Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by John Terrell.

P-51D Mustang "Frenesi" (N357FG) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware Warbirdsim P-51D "Mustang Tales" product. This repaint depicts the latest Mustang restoration to emerge from Midwest Aero Restorations, completely stock, which just had its first test flight from Danville, Illinois on January 30th. The aircraft is F-6K 44-12852 (restored as a P-51D), owned/operated by Dan Friedkin/Comanche Fighters, based in Texas. Sold surplus immediately following WWII, registered as NX66111, the aircraft was entered into the 1946 Cleveland Air Races as racer #80 "Full House", but its engine blew and was forced to crash-land. Later, the aircraft was sold to Jack Hardwick in the early 50's and crudely rebuilt, with a jump seat and rudimentary dual controls installed in the back of the cockpit, and would soon be sold onto the Dominican Air Force in 1954, becoming FAD 1900 (#2). The aircraft served with the Dominican AF until it was sold and imported back into the US by Brian O'Farrell in 1984. Made serviceable, the aircraft flew again on the US register as N21023 by 1990, and was sold to Jim Beasley Sr. and later owned/operated by Jim Beasley Jr., of Coatesville, PA (sharing hangar space with their P-51D "Bald Eagle"). During this time the aircraft was painted as "Frenesi", the personal mount of WWII 357th Fighter Group ace Gen. Tommy Hayes (the name inspired from a 1940 Artie Shaw tune). By the early 2000's, showing the effects of poor-quality work done on repairing/restoring the aircraft in the past, a complete rebuild of the airframe began. By 2009, the project was sold to Dan Friedkin, now registered as N357FG, and the restoration was continued at Midwest Aero Restorations, known for their award-winning authentic Mustang rebuilds. The aircraft has now emerged in early 2017, resplendent and flying again in the markings of "Frenesi".

YKEB Kellerberrin, Western Australia Download

File Description:
YKEB Kellerberrin was modelled at the request of Councillor Cole. In this updated version, the silos have been added and the landclass for the town south of the highway has been masked giving a more realistic impression from the air. Kellerberrin is a town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 205 kilometres east of Perth on the Great Eastern Highway. The railway line from Northam to Southern Cross was constructed through here in 1893-94, and this section opened for traffic in 1895. Kellerberrin was one of the original stations when the line opened. By 1898 there was a demand for small blocks of land in the area, and the government surveyed a number of 20-acre lots the same year. The area was gazetted as Kellerberrin townsite in 1901, and the government soon made more land available for settlers. Early settlers from 1890 to 1910 from Ireland settled in the area of Kellerberrin and Wittem. Their family name was English. A road was named after this family. The name Kellerberrin is Aboriginal, and is derived from the name of a nearby hill. The hill was first recorded as "Killaburing Hill" by an explorer in 1861, but in 1864 the explorer Charles Hunt recorded it as Kellerberrin Hill. One source claims that Kellerberrin is the name for the fierce ants that are found in the area, while another gives it as meaning "camping place near where rainbow birds are found" - kalla means camping place or place of, and berrin berrin is the rainbow bird. (repeating the name makes it plural) It also serves as a stop on the Prospector and Avonlink rural train services. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

Alaska Airlines "HONORING THOSE WHO SERVE" livery Operated by Horizon Air E175LR (N651QX) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
I am proud to present this very special Alaska Airlines Embraer E175LR, operated by Horizon Air, registration N651QX. This E175LR is the third "Honoring Those Who Serve" aircraft in the Alaska Airlines fleet which pays tribute to US military members, veterans, fallen soldiers and their families. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to honor those who serve today, and those who served in the past. The design includes; A red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag, the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage, symbolic crests representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program on the starboard side rear cargo door and on the port side of the aircraft behind the aft service door, a "Horizon Air Salutes" medallion near the nose of the aircraft on both sides with the five stars, winglets in red, white and blue representing the flag of the United States and five gold stripes on the engine cowls representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. There is also a Sidney Sheldon quote next to the forward passenger entry door reading “My heroes are those that risk their lives to protect the world and make it a better place.” The repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. All of the medallions are hand painted. This is the Version 3 model of the FeelThere Embraer 175. You must own a copy of the Feelthere E-JETS E175 and E195 V3 to enjoy this repaint. A special thank you to all who serve, who have served and to those who gave their lives in service to this country.

Alaska North Slope 9; Point Hope PAPO Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The town of Barrow is in the far north of Alaska, and these are coastal villages or radar installations to the west, south, and east of Barrow on the North Slope. There will be further additions. Point Hope is a village on a spit of land that is one of the oldest and continuously inhabited places in all of North America, not just the polar regions. The "Point" is what brought this about, migrating whales passing close to land as they rounded the point, and the traditional way of life continues to this day. The population is now around 670. The airport surpassed all my expectations of FS9. Go look at the area before you install this. The first thing you will notice is that FS9 does not list Point Hope PAPO. The town is there (way too big and in totally the wrong place) and the airport background is there (wrong place of course) but there is no airport! Some buildings, but no runway, no apron, nothing that can be used by a plane?!? In real life the town is 3 miles east of the point, the runway is situated between town and point and, unusually in the north, is asphalt. This is presumably possible because of the gravel make-up of the point itself, with very little vegetable content and the warming sea restricting permafrost movements. 4,000 feet of 75 feet wide asphalt, lit, PAPI at both ends, and aligned 01-19. The building that appears to be wrongly situated away from the apron is like that intentionally; it is a helicopter hangar (not used in winter?) and they presumably did not want the apron traffic to get in their way. The AI has daily flights by ERA, plus Northern Air Cargo, and some GA.

Balesin Island Club Cessna C208B Grand Caravan Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This archive only contains textures for the Carenado C208B GRAND CARAVAN V2 aircraft. In order for it to work, you need to own this specific aircraft. Since these are only textures, no further support is necessary, just follow the instructions below. If for some reason you don't like these textures, just delete the folder. Installation Open the zip file and move the whole folder Balesin Island Club to X-Plane 10 (where you installed X-Plane)--->Aircraft-->Carenado C208B GRAND CARAVAN V2 (where you installed the Carenado package)--->liveries. That's it! A note on the Cessna C208B GRAND CARAVAN The prototype first flew in December 1982. The production model was certified by the FAA in October 1984. Since then, the Caravan has undergone a number of design evolutions. Working with FedEx, Cessna produced first the Cargomaster, and followed that with the stretched and upgraded Super Cargomaster. The passenger model, the Grand Caravan, was derived from the Super Cargomaster. In January 2013 a higher-powered (867 shp from P&WC PT6A-140) version, the Grand Caravan EX, received FAA certification.[2] This higher-powered version will be produced by a Cessna-AVIC joint venture in China. Information taken from Wikipedia.org. File information The textures herein are made from the Carenado blanks. I have made every attempt to faithfully reproduce the Alphaland Balesin Island Club Caravan to the best of my abilities. The Balesin Island Club is a resort in the philippines operated by Alphaland Corporation. They use two Cessna C208B GRAND CARAVANS to ferry clients from Manila to the island resort.
