Tips and Tricks Number 17 - 2005 Holiday Edition. This issue presents several suggestions to liven up your Holidays as well a several fine Tips which have been submitted by our readers. Since this will the be the last issue before the New Year, I have packed it fuller than Santa's bag with useful ideas and the "From the E-Mail Bag" department answers a question of general interest. Also included are two "Bonus Files" which readers have allowed me to present to all as a Holiday Gift. Updated indexes by John Burford for the entire series in Excel (xls) and Adobe Acrobat (pdf) formats are included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Please unzip to a temporary location using the folders option. These Tornados are from the JaboG32 ECR in Lechfeld near Augsburg west - bavaria. The textures are reworked in camo and grey livery. I hope its more realistic as my old paints. Enjoy it!!! Package comes with Model, panel, gauges, sound and effects from DSB Design and textures from Florian Wagner.

| Tutorial: Modify Landclass and Add Roads with SBuilder |

File Description:
This is a follow up to my Tutorial on using SBuilder and AFCAD2 to regress an Airfield to an earlier time (available from my website www.scruffyduck.plus.com). It builds on from that tutorial and describes adding modified landclass around the airfield and adding an access road using VTP2 lines. Whilst this tutorial was designed as part of a series on creating earlier age airfields the techniques in both should be of interest and use in the modern era if you are developinh, or wish to develop, scenery using SBuilder. Future Tutorials will look at placing 3d scenery objects and other SBuilder related topics.

These flightplans require the freeware Autopilot/EFIS/Flight Planner software, FSPilot, available here at Avsim (fspilot_142.zip). Both plans take you through valleys and over the top of the mountains to help you appreciate the spectacular scenery of Northern Italy and Southern Austria. Installation instruction contained in the enclosed .pdf document.
