File Description:
Airport Environment Upgrade II - These textures will significantly enhance world-wide airport scenery. The upgrade includes ramps, taxiways, runways, airport lighting, a few of the more common terminal buildings, and some hangars. Both day and night textures are included. A great deal of effort was made to reproduce colors and details as they appear in real life.
This version includes the fix for the missing ramp/ taxiway textures by including the files in .r8 format. Also included are new high-contrast airport markings, improved runway textures, better airport/ aircraft lighting, and a new pavement texture over-lay. Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! The Piaggio P-180 Avanti is a Luxury Jetprop. Its design is the result of a "thinking outside the box" project philosophy. It means that building techniques are standard while aerodynamics are unique for it's kind. It features a three lifting surface design, laminar flow wing and twin pusher turboprop configuration. Passenger comfort features the possiiblity of standing in feet inside the plane, low noise due to pusher propellers and "Pininfarina" designed arrangement. Performances are unique too, cruising at 395 KTAS (260 KIAS) at 28000 ft, a jet-like speed, being the P-180 a twin turboprop. The result is a 40% reduced operational cost respect to a jet of similar size, and 30% less respect to a similar size turboprop, all at same price of a small Jet. This model is 804 Kbs with c.a. 19000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. Fairey Albacore Prototype V2.0
The Fairey Albacore was a British single-engine carrier-borne biplane torpedo bomber built by Fairey Aviation between 1939 and 1943 for the Fleet Air Arm and used during the Second World War. It had a three-man crew and was designed for spotting and reconnaissance as well as delivering bombs and torpedoes. The Albacore, popularly known as the "Applecore", was conceived as a replacement for the aging Fairey Swordfish, which had entered service in 1936. However, the Albacore served with the Swordfish and was retired before it, being replaced by the Fairey Barracuda and Grumman Avenger monoplane torpedo bombers.This Aircraft depicts the prototype Fairey Albacore L7074. This is a fix for my package "63 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic for South America and South Europe" available here at avsim.com.
It resolves an error in the model.cfg of one the AI ships - "AI_CHD_Empty". This ship only travels along the Argentinian and Uruguayan coast to Rio Grande in Brazil, but a spelling error in the model.cfg can cause FSX to freeze if you fly nearby this ship.
