MeatWater VocPack for Radar Contact 4 VERSION 2 ## Part 9 of 10 ##

File Description:
Beeing a permanent user of RC4 I always felt that the only real downside were the voices which did not really sound like real ATC. The sheer amount of single files (more than 80.000!) always kept me from working on them, but then I found a way to batch process them, which took a lot of workload from me. However, due to the nature of these files and because almost every different voice set had a different "base-sound" as well, it was still required to fine tune the parameters for every single voice set, which turned out to be a lot more work than expected/feared. Once started I didn't want to give up half way down the road, so after many hours I finally had a complete set with a more than satisfying result. By installing these Version 2 remastered voice sets, ATC will now sound almost as the prerecorded, real chatter files, meaning that you will have to listen much more carefully now in order to hear messages that are directed to you. All voices now feature a "real" ATC sound, making RC4 immersive as never before. All included voice sets have also been increased in playback speed (new in this version!), allowing for a much more natural and professional flow. This new version also contains two remastered pilot voice sets that now feature a real "intercom" sound effect different from the VHF sound effect added to the controller voices.

Exploring Our World - Part 2 - Easter Island, Chile. In part two of this new series you will find a complete makeover of Easter Island which MS virtually ignored. Designed to compliment the fine Mataveri International Airport by Daniel Rojas (scip_o7.zip at Flightsim.com), this package includes Mesh and adjusted coastlines by John Young. John has also provided a new Afcad which removes unrealistic pushback starts. A new landclass file by John Burford adds the villages near the airport and more realistic ground treatments. You will also find numerous scenery enhancements using objects from the RWY12 and EZ Scenery libraries. Francisco Vargas has contributed a set of Thermals which soaring fans will enjoy. Of special interest is the use of AI Volkswagens, as taxi's driving around the airport and AI Helicopters that take visiting tourists on sightseeing tours. Consolidated PBY-5A 44-33939 4th ARS

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX, representing OA-10a 44-33939, a USAF search and rescue aircraft of the 4th ARS, Hamilton AFB, California, that carried not only the yellow high visibility markings, but also a red tail and wingtips, for operations in the Arctic. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Aerosoft. Though the original aircraft carried a radome above the cockpit, it was not equiapped with the large exhausts of the updated Aerosoft model. I've included textures for the large exhausts, but also the earlier model with the small exhausts and the appropriate textures.

PNW Landclass Remake A

File Description:
These files are a replacement for all my previous versions of PNW landclass files, which covered the western 2/3's of Oregon, Washington and southern BC, Canada. I'm also including some northern California files I'm working on so these files cover a continuous area from Monterey, Ca to north of Vancouver, BC. I had two primary criteria when creating these files: 1) Get the cites/towns looking as correct as possible and 2) depict the visual "feel" of the real countryside. For minimum load up time and memory usage I have keep the texture type count under 20 for each section. I hope you enjoy them.

Southern Cross Fokker FVII/3m.

File Description:
FSX / FS2004 Southern Cross Fokker FVII/3m. The 'Southern Cross' made the first crossing of the Pacific Ocean by an aircraft, flown by Charles Kingsford-Smith and a crew of three. They took off from Oakland, California on May 31, 1928, and arrived at Brisbane, Australia on June 19. The Southern Cross was, at the time, even more famous than Charles Lindberg's 'Spirit of St. Louis'. The Southern Cross is preserved today at Brisbane Airport. This package includes the aircraft model and ready-made flights you can use to recreate the 1928 experience. Improved version 2 model, modified to work with FSX as well as FS2004. By Jens B.
