| Komakuk Beach & Storm Hills DEW sites in Yukon and Northwest Territories, Canada |

These are DEW line sites in northern mainland Canada, to the west of Tuktoyaktuk.
Komakuk Beach CWKB is not included in FS9 and is in the Yukon, only 20 miles from the Alaska border. It is, as the name suggests, close to the sea, and the gravel runway 3,600' by 125' has its western end almost on the beach.
There is no lighting and no signage and the airfield is officially listed as closed, but in fact is used during the annual maintenance and refuelling of the automated NWS (North Warning Station) close by and for any unscheduled servicing. This replaced the previous much older DEW station that was manned year round and had a lot more buildings.
Storm Hills CWSH is in the Northwest Territories, 43 miles south-southwest of Tuktoyaktuk, up on higher land at 810 feet ASL. The NWS (there was no previous DEW station at this site) is serviced by helicopter from Tuktoyaktuk and has a gravel landing pad on the north side of the station. It will show on a gps and it is 5 miles west of the distinctively shaped and large Parsons Lake. This too was not in FS9.

FS2004 Curtiss C46 VC And Failure Model, v2. For the C46 Curtiss Commando aircraft by Libardo Guzman Garcia, Greg Pepper, and Tom Gibson (GAC46V2.ZIP). This is my Version 2 and it supersedes my previous uploads (c46bflvc.zip, c46bflfix.zip, c46bfl_up.zip). It adds a virtual cockpit similar to the Buffalo Airways C46 cockpit as well as pilot induced and random failures/damages through gauges originally developed by Charles Owens for the DC3C (most failures) and by Robert Graf (carburetor icing and oil consumption) for the DC-6. These gentlemen together with Gunter Tesons RealEngine_v14 have really made flying piston aircraft a lot more interesting. The frequency of random failures can be adjusted between "never" and "certain" but you always have to watch the engine limitations, carburetor icing, and oil consumption.
Further gauges by other authors are used or have been modified or have been developed by me. Version 2 increases the number of failures (engine, fire, leaks, systems, equipment, instruments), and introduces an improved upper overhead panel, an abbreviated interactive checklist on the panel, and reduced braking in rain, snow and freezing rain. Version 1 is not required for Version 2. See the C46BFL ReadMe V2.txt for further details and credits. This is a version for FSX of the Merrill Field made by Roger Wensley (me) for FS9, converted by John B Loney jnr. "PAMR read this first" explains this but I have modified John's original procedure, and instead of first installing the Merrill Field original plus two updates I have included here the current FS9 version as installed on my computer. Note that to see the apron lighting working in FS9 it was necessary to have Sidney Schwartz's light library installed, along with his updated textures (to avoid severe blurries caused by a faulty texture). The original installation instructions are included giving file library priorities etc. Just ignore the bits that do not apply, such as installing AI that is not included. I have of course omitted the original AI as this is replaced by John's version. I have no comment to make on installing in FSX as I have not done so, and I have not tested it in FSX. If you have comments or questions I will respond as much as I am able. Merrill Field is in Anchorage Alaska, between Anchorage International to the southwest and and Elmendorf Air Force Base to the north. It caters for general aviation and is the land equivalent of the Lake Hood float plane base, with fuel and numerous maintenance facilities, and several hundred parking spots for small planes. There are three runways, and the longest is 4,000 feet of 100 feet wide asphalt, the second 2,635 feet of asphalt 75 feet wide, and the third 2,000 feet of 60 feet wide gravel. The first two have runway lights. It is a controlled airfield with a relatively new control tower to cater for the numerous flights and to coordinate with Elmensdorf and Anchorage International, the latter also controlling flights from Lake Hood and the adjacent gravel strip Z41. (See my Lake Hood scenery). The gravel runway at Merrill Field is not connected with active taxiways to the rest of the airfield; this avoids you being ordered to land on it when flying a plane too large to do so.

Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (IATA: OVB, ICAO: UNNT) is situated in the town of Ob, 16 km from center of Novosibirsk, an industrial and scientific center in Siberia - Russia's third largest city. Novosibirsk airport is the biggest transit hub on the main routes between Europe and Asia beyond the Urals. There is a 3,600 m (11,811 ft) active runway and another 3,605 m runway under construction, along with 2 passenger terminals, 1 cargo terminal and 61 aircraft stands.
This archive contains all of the current bug fixes for the scenery.
