File Description:
This is a painting originally made by Ed Wells and worked later by me with his authorization. It is a fictional painting, because there's no such alphajet version on the real Força Aérea Portuguesa. Being the best existent Alpha Jet software we adapted to what we had and with what it would be if it was the same version, hopefully until a better model of the german Alpha -Jet (A) appears. This is still in a very early stage and as such does not represent a final version of the painting, but instead a "wanna be" of what it will be the final detailed version of the painting.
I hope you'll like it.
This is a freeware painting so feel at ease to distribute or share this file with others, as long as no sale or money is made thru it. For a repainting or comments please contact me or Ed.

File Description:
FSX Mesh South America Project:
This terrain mesh file is a part of a whole project covering all the Continent
of South America and some islands, divided in tiles identified in a map by its
column (letters) and rows (numbers).
Those files were multi-LOD compiled from 90m SRTM2 source data, reprocessed
with 3DEM to remove voids and spikes, providing a 76.4m (LOD9) horizontal
resolution topography intended for use only in FSX updated with SP1.
Although not well documented, to improve performance, the updated FSX loads DEM
files in threads and only the closer terrain (about 5-10 NM from the point of view)
is rendered in high detail, while at far distances FSX shows up its default low
resolution mesh, when there is not a third part terrain mesh compiled in all
others intermediate level of details (multi-LOD).

File Description:
Hawes Aerial Operations Facility is a reimagined version of an abandoned World War II auxiliary airstrip formerly known as Hawes AAF Aux #1. It was built in the mojave desert, just east of Edwards AFB (then Muroc AAF) during WWII as one of 4 satellite fields for Victorville AAF. After the war, Hawes as used as a private civilian airfield until it's closure in the early 1960's. It is now reborn in FSX as a UAV base by Nevada Systems. Due to it's location in the Mojave desert and the presence of many thermals in FSX, it was also used in production of the Aeroworks ARX-1 civilian glider concept. This scenery uses many custom macros as well as default macros from the Acceleration Expansion Pack, which is required for best performance. Scenery and custom macros by Joshua B. Nyhus and Jason L.
