Tips and Tricks - Part 13. This issue, the first of the Fall 2005 season, attempts to dispel the notion that you can become "bored" with FS2004. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. A new feature is a "From the Mailbag" segment where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. There is also a group of BONUS files which I believe you will enjoy using. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

The Alaskan Pipeline - Your opportunity to explore one of the largest and most difficult construction projects of our time and see some spectacular scenery while doing it. This is a representation of the Valdez, Alaska Terminal and several Pump Stations along the 800 mile Alaskan Pipeline which extends from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez. The project was originally designed for ZIA Cargo/Sunspot Charter VA pilots, but is now being made available to the flightsim community. This is a completely new installation package which replaces all previously uploaded files and which clarifies the installation procedure. Complete instructions in .doc and .pdf formats are included. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder and follow the instructions very carefully. Scenery and design by John J. Hogan - Afcads and project compilation by David "Opa" Marshall.

Create and Install your own VFR Maps - A Tutorial. This tutorial will show you how to easily create and install your own Maps which can be displayed from the cockpit of any aircraft. This concept is especially useful when flying "Historic Flights" in aircraft that do not have many of the modern day instruments. This method of displaying maps can be adapted to virtually any flight scenerio and/or aircraft. A complete set of Maps for the "Hell Stretch" Historic Flight (in FS2004) is included along with suggested resources for finding your own Maps. Tioman Island is a small island, 39 km long and 12 km wide, located off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The densely forested island is still sparsely inhabited, but is surrounded by numerous white coral, making it
a haven for scuba divers from around the region. In the 1970s Time magazine selected Tioman as one of the world’s most beautiful islands.The island is served by ferries from the Malaysian mainland and Singapore, and propeller plane service by Berjaya Air from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
