| Hong Kong Kai Tak 1963 |

File Description:
This is Kai Tak airport as it was in 1963. Kowloon Bay has yet to be filled in, and the runway is only 8405 ft long. Includes mesh files by Holger Sandmann and charts of the era scanned by Chic Eather. Navaids backdated to the early 60's, except the IGS for runway 13 is included although not actually installed until 1974. Curving approach lights will help you find the runway. Chek Lap Kok airport has been removed. The IGS and other approaches created by Jim Vile. The AI aircraft will follow the curved approach to runway 13 in good weather or bad. Please note that Jim Vile has produced a modern version of this airport (kaitak98.zip).

In this package you will find eight (8) highly detailed small airfields complete with loads of eye candy and terrific day and night sound effects! These airfields dot the coastline of lower Washington State and offer general aviation sim-pilots about 50 nautical miles of really sweet scenery! And we do mean sweet! You will find these airfields and the surrounding area to be rich with not only great airport scenery but off-airport scenery as well with a good amount being animated scenery including animated shipping lanes, ground traffic and wonderful day and night seaside sounds! Convair CV-240-4, cn 145, delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on February 28, 1949 and registered PH-TEM, named "Meindert Hobbema". Re-registered PH-CEM on March 6, 1954. Bought by Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH on October 28, 1957 and registered D-BOBA. Leased to Lufthansa on September 12, 1960. On November 1, 1961 the "Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH" was renamed to "Condor Flugdienst". On October 3, 1962 cn 145 was bought by Houston Aviation Products. Further on cn 145 served for a lot of different operators in the United States. The last flight of this aircraft is recorded for November 20, 2007. The FAA Registry still shows
