| Thomas Hudner AFB |
|
File Description:
Thomas Hudner AFB is a fictitious Air Force Base located at Henderson Island, a member of the Pitcairn Islands in the Pacific. Located in a sheltered bay on the east side of the island, the airport features a 7500' x 120' paved runway, several hangars, barracks, and a fire dept. This airport also features a Delta V rocket and launch pad, a container ship being unloaded offshore by hovercrafts, and a small military ship. The default FSX scenery at this island has been completely replaced with custom scenery and terrain based on satellite photos.
This scenery requires the FSX Acceleration expansion pack for all of the objects to show up properly. Also, for some reason, Ground Environment X causes the sand textures to show up as rain forest. This is purely a visual quirk and the airport will still work, but it is up to you. This airport is not designed for FS2004, but you may try it at your own risk. Special thanks to Ashton Lawson for his invaluable help on this project.

File Description:
This scenery covers the southern part of Canyonlands National Park (Needles District) in Utah. The colorful layers of sand- and limestone that you can see today built over hundreds of millions years by advancing and retreating oceans as well as rivers that deposited huge amounts of sediment. About 15 million years ago these layers began to rise due to a colliding movement of plates in the earth's crust, forming what is today called the Colorado Plateau. As the land rose higher, erosion accelerated, resulting in countless canyons, mesas and buttes. The uplifting land caused the rivers to carve in even faster, resulting in the deep canyons of the Colorado and Green Rivers. The needles and fins in the Needles District have yet another story: First uplifts and later slides created a system of perpendicular cracks. Then he resulting crosshatched pattern of "joints" widened by erosion until only thin fins and needles of rock remained. The scenery extends my Arches National Park scenery to the south and brings you another 3.500 sq km in 4.7m/pix quality. To explore the scenery depart from Monticello (U43) and head north. YourDonation@Work: Dedicated to Nels, David and Michael. Thanks!

| Warren Grove Range Airport (NJ24), New Jersey |
|
File Description:
Located 03 miles SW of Burlington County, New Jersey, Warren Grove Range is a private concrete airfield 1800' in length. It is owned by the Department of Defense and exists in a restricted flight area. The bare sand of this area has washed out the satellite images tremendously from over-exposure thanks to reflected sunlight - you can't even make out the runway (which FSX places incorrectly over a mile away). Due to lack of ground definition and primary use as a military facility, this airport has not been developed by MSEAirports and the concrete runway has been removed.
Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person.
This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 003. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

| RAF Scorton |
|
File Description:
RAF Scorton was opened in October 1939 as part of 13 Group Fighter Command and a satellite station of RAF Catterick. It was located near the village of Scorton in North Yorkshire. It was used by the Royal Air Force, the Royal Canadian Air Force, and the United States Army Air Forces Ninth Air Force during the war.
The location was chosen for its flat terrain and its situation close to the now disbanded Eryholme-Richmond branch line that had a sub branch line to Catterick Garrison and RAF Catterick.
The famous No. 56 Squadron RAF flew Spitfires from Scorton during the Second World War. Also the USAAF 422d and 425th Night Fighter Squadrons were stationed at Scorton flying the Northrup P-61 "Black Widow" fighter.
The Aerodrome closed in 1945 and most of the concreted areas have been extensively quarried away for sand and gravel extraction. Most of what was the airfield is now under a lake or a quarry. There are a few military pre-fab buildings remaining in the area – they were dismantled after the war and moved to local farms to be used as agricultural buildings.

| Carnival Air Lines and Pan Am 1990s Fleet and Charter Flightplans |
|
File Description:
These paints are meant to supplement the existing paints that are out there, and allow users to retire their AIA 737-200/400 in favor of the FAIB models. I included several variations of the 737-200s, as well as an albino 727 livery and 2 variations of the 737-400. I have also included flightplans for the Apple Vacations and Miami Heat NBA charter flights, which I suggest you attach to the existing Carnival Air Lines 1995/1996 flightplans. In 1997, the airline got the rights to the Pan Am name and logo and changed their name to Pan American Airways and began to paint the 727s, A300s, and 737-400s. I have included the 737-400 to replace the AIA version. Included are links to flightplans and textures for the rest of the fleet. Check out http://retroai.proboards.com/ for more Retro AI Traffic.
