Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military jet history, which still soldiers on as a formidable strike aircraft. The Su-24, nicknamed "Chemodahn" (Suitcase) by its pilots, went into production in 1975, with around 1,400 built. The Fencer has evolved into a potent low-level deep-interdiction strike aircraft in the same role as the F-111 and the Tornado. The aircraft has served or continues to serve the air forces of a dozen countries. An original 9-LOD model brings this capable aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the Su-24MK Fencer-D (early/late variants) and Su-24MRK Fencer-E, in current or past service with all export users; with a total of 15 models and 51 repaints. Original aircraft model, afterburner effects modification, and textures by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael MacIntyre. Please read included documentation.

Ants Aussie Airports Vol 5 : RAAF Tindal is a military base about 290kms south east of Darwin near the town of Katherine in Australia's Northern Territory. Tindal is a major front-line operational air base and home to No. 75 Squadron Air Combat Group (F/A-18). There is also a civilian apron in the north west corner of the airfield. This scenery contains photoreal ground textures and these are designed to blend in with the payware FTX textures (available from www.fullterrain.com). It is therefore recommended that you have the FTX textures installed if you wish to see this airfield at its best. I have tried to make this airfield as accurate as possible although as Tindal is a military base there aren't a lot of photos available so a lot of the hangars are "educated guesses". Almost all of the models have been custom made with the use of library objects kept to the minimum.

| North Vietnamese Government Ilyushin IL-18D Salon |

The Ilyushin Il-18 is a four turboprop engined passenger aircraft for medium-long range. The first Kuznetsov NK4 powered flight was on 4 Jul 1957 from Moscow-Khodynka airport, the first Ivchenko AI-20 powered flight on 17 Sep 1958. This plane was produced in series for 12 years and achieved great popularity due to the favourable load factor. The main operator was Aeroflot, but the IL-18 proved a popular plane with airlines behind the former "Iron Curtain". In view of possible peace negotiations during the war in Vietnam, the North Vietnamese leadership was in need of a long-haul VIP transport aircraft. The Soviet Union delivered an IL-18D Salon in 1968 registered 195 to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam as an "80th Birthday present" for President Ho Chi Minh. A bit early perhaps since he was born on 19 May 1890; he died at the age of 79. For a while the aircraft displayed on both sides of the nose the call sign BH-195; BH stood for Bac Ho (= Uncle Ho) and 195 stood for his Birthday. The VIP IL-18D was re-registered VN-B195 in 1973. In August 1976 she was transferred to Hang Khong Viet Nam though still wearing the original pre-1973 "Aeroflot style" cheatline. The last landing of this IL-18D Salon was on 15 Dec 1989 at Hanoi after which she was written from use. The registration was cancelled on 31 Dec 1989. The aircraft has been scrapped since. Air Ceylon was formed in 1947 by the government of the newly independent Republic of Ceylon (nowadays Sri Lanka). That same year three Lockheed L-749 Constellations were ordered for the connection Colombo-London. The order for the Connies lapsed and in 1949 Air Ceylon started a service operating Douglas DC-4s leased from Australian National Airways (ANA), who owned 49% of the shares (the other 51% were owned by the government of Ceylon). However, fierce competition from BOAC's DH-104 Comet 1 and TWA's L-749 Constellation forced Air Ceylon to close the London connection in 1953. In 1955 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines took over the shares from ANA. From 7 February 1956 till 1 November 1958 Air Ceylon leased KLM's L-749A Constellation PH-LDP for its new, weekly connection Colombo-(Bombay)-Karachi-Bahrain-Cairo-Rome-London-Amsterdam. For a limited period this route was extended from Colombo to Bangkok. PH-LDP was sprayed in a very pretty, exotic livery and received the name 'Mahadevi', its previous name having been 'Rotterdam'. In November 1958 PH-LDP was superseded by KLM's L-1049G Super Constellation PH-LKA/4R-ACH which also received a full Air Ceylon livery. On 3 November 1958 PH-LDP was written from use at Schiphol (Amsterdam) and has been scrapped sometime in 1962.

| North American P-51D 359th FG (CS-L) 'Daddy's Girl' |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51D-10-NA 44-14377 as flown by Captain Ray S. "X-ray eyes" Wetmore, of the 370th FS/ 359th FG. Born in Kerman, California, Ray Shuey Wetmore enlisted in the Army in November 1941 at age 18 and entered pilot training eight months later. Upon commissioning in March 1943 he joined the new 359th Fighter Group which was sent to England in October that year. Flying with the 370th Fighter Squadron, in February and March 1944 Wetmore scored his first 4.25 victories flying the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. Upon conversion to P-51 Mustangs the group ranged farther afield and Wetmore became a 20-year-old ace with a double victory on May 19, downing two Me-109s. At month's end his tally was 8.25. At year's end he was a captain with nearly 15 kills, flying several Mustangs named Daddy's Girl.
He flew 44-14377 between 2 november 1944 and 10 march 1945, when it was damaged by Flak near Remagen. He scored nine victories with this aircraft, making it his most successful mount
Upon return from leave in the U.S., then-Captain Wetmore scored steadily from November 1944 to January 1945. In that period he downed 12 more enemy fighters including 4.5 FW-190s on January 14. His final victory was a rocket-powered Me-163 on March 15. His final score was 21.25 destroyed and one damaged in aerial combat, highest score in the 359th Fighter Group and eighth best of all Americans in the European Theater. On VE-Day he was a 21-year-old major and the highest scoring ace still on active duty in the 8th AF. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

Googly scenery for MNPC Puerto Cabezas - a small international
airport in Nicaragua for which no facilities are provided in Microsoft Flight
Simulator 2004. These scenery files create the airport and add taxiways, aprons,
buildings and other airport features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land,
taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.
The airport, with its new Rigoberto Cabezas terminal opened in 2000, serves the
city of Puerto Cabezas and is surrounded by beautiful beaches and lush scenery.
Unfortunately, the country of Nicaragua has been embroiled in civil unrest almost
continuously since it became an independent republic in 1838, most of which is funded and fuelled by other countries seeking to interfere with Nicaragua's politics. For this reason, the country has no national airline or international flights of its own - the major powers refuse to accept its currency - and commercial traffic is confined to local flights operated by small craft from adjoining countries like those of Atlantic Airlines de Honduras and TACA Regional.
Fortunately, in Flight Simulator you do not need to worry about world politics
and you will be assured of a "virtual" welcome when you call in here. Please
say a small prayer for world peace when you do.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,

| North American P-51D 20th FG (LC-N) 'June Nite' |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51K 44-11161 LC-N "June Nite" as flown by Ernest "Feeb" Fiebelkorn of the 20th FG. He was one of the biggest aces of the 8th Air Force, meaning tallest and heaviest. 6ft 4in combined with 225 pounds must have made a placement into the Mustang's cockpit a bit problematic.
This did not prevent Feeb from becoming the top-scoring pilot of the 20th Fighter Group. Moreover, it was not Fiebelkorn's only claim to fame. On November 8th 1944 he and Edward Haydon from 357th FG managed to shoot down German Me 262 piloted by then top-scoring ace of the World - Walter Nowotny. The famous Austrian pilot was not lucky enough to survive that onslaught.
Feeb finished the war unscathed only to die in F-82 over Korea. His total score includes 8 individual aerial victories, 2 shared aerial victories and 2 individual ground victories. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

This folder contains a repaint for P3Dv4.5 PBR version of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 #36 of the French Navy (Aeronavale). Originally c/n9798 42-23936 it flew with the USAAF in North Africa and later in the ETO. It took part in D-Day, Market Garden and Operation Varsity, dropping parachutists. After WW2 it went to Ceskoslovenske Aeroline as OK-WDU and between 1958 and 1983 with the French navy as #36. It later went to Stellair and Transvalair in France as F-GEOM, before going to the UK as G-OFON with Classic Airways and later Air Atlantique. After a stint with South Coast Airways, it went to the Aviodrome in the Netherlands in 2006, where unfortunately it was left outside without protection. When the Aviodrome went bankrupt it went to Classic Wings, who are currently restoring it for static display in the Museum in Overloon. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 for P3Dv4.5, with PBR, Rivet and bump detail by Ted (Tufun) Wolfgang."
