Nomads Travel Club 1998 Download

File Description:
Nomads Travel Club may be one of the most storied travel clubs in aviation history. Founded in 1961 and based in Detroit(DTW), where the airline had it's own terminal, Nomads Travel Club gave up to 10,000 adventurous members the opportunity to hop on aircraft for elaborate tours across the earth. Initially flying a DC-7C, the airline upgraded to a L-188 Electra, CV-990, 727-100, and finally 727-200 N727M in 1993 which served the club until it's demise in 2011. N727M has traveled to dozens of countries and hundreds of airports, and I was able to find good information about 2 tours flown in 1998 and represented them in these plans. The aircraft spends at least half a day at each destination except for YHZ which is just a Westbound refueling stop. As far as I could find, the airline had no callsign or codes, so I am guessing they used the registration as a callsign. There is a paint for the AIA 727-200 on Avsim as "aib722nomads.zip".Flightplans by Chasen Richardson, based on real tours flown in 1998. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Vision Airlines (RBY - Ruby) Flightplans - some 52-week and some "normal". Download

File Description:
These are fictional flightplans for Vision Airlines (ex Vision Air) of North Las Vegas, USA. There are 2 sets of flightplans, each using a different part of the fleet to the other. One set are plans that operate on the 52-week concept - these contain charters that can be varied every week if you use Matthew Ministry's flightplan swapper routine. The other set fly fixed flights each week (in fact 2 planes fly 24-hour plans, canyon sightseeing) and also include Vision's Boeing fleet that fly military charters via Europe. You can use both sets to get the whole fleet, or either to get a flavour of Vision Airlines. If you want to use just 1 week's charters, you can get the whole fleet but the charters will repeat every week. These plans will add some Dorniers (228, 328TP and 328J) to North Las Vegas (KVGT) and points on Vision's scheduled network, plus the Houston-based 328Jets that fly to Alamogordo. If you use the 52-week system the rest of the fleet will fly charters almost nationwide, limited only by the real-world aircraft's range (so no Miami and no Boston, but KLAX, KPDX and KSEA). They will also operate into many smaller regional and municipal airports.

Flight dynamics update V1.0 for FS2004 Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker By Mike Stone Download

File Description:
Flight dynamics update V1.0 for FS2004 Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker By Mike Stone Dynamics only, Original aircraft available at: http://www.pmstone.com/ Note: both these dynamics AND the real plane do NOT have thrust reversers. It seems the USAF did not want them on their plane, despite the availability on that engine model. Anyway, don't use the thrust reverse. A friend who's recently posted to a KC-135 squadron recently asked me to tweek the layout of the fuel tanks on Mike Stone's freeware KC-135. What I thought would be a very simple edit ended up being a full blown project that transformed how the model flies, and what kinds of payload configurations are possible. For instance, the KC can carry either internal fuel bladders in the main cargo bay, along with full wing and fuselage fuel, or it can take reduced fuel load and take on a fair amount of cargo pallets. My edits will allow you to choose one or the other, but it's defaulting to a air refueling mission that it sees more commonly. Once on my way, I requested and received permission from Mike Stone to share this edited dynamics, which I'm doing right now. Enjoy!

***AFCAD SMOOTH for Major Airports! Vienna Schwechat ( LOWW / VIE )*** Download

File Description:
AFCAD SMOOTH is a normal AFCAD File for Major Airports such as Frankfurt, London LHR or Paris CDG but all the taxiways have been totally reworked in order to get the most smoothest AI Traffic on ground you will ever have. To achive this all the new created taxiways have nothing in common with the original one for an airport. The new taxiways have been created in a way to allow the smoothest traffic on ground, without traffic jam, conflict alerts and also without planes staying almost 5 minutes at one point due to heavy traffic and finnaly disappear. All this has been resolved. In addition to this the parking positions have been created in a very very orderly way with as much positions as possible. The gates are almost the same as in reality only with minor changes. I also added missing ILS to airports like LIMC (RWY 17R) This File is only recommended for virtual pilots who can call a huge amount of AI Traffic their own and who prefer smooth traffic instead an accurate taxiway system compared to the real airports one. In addition I recommend you AI Seperation (available at avsim), one of the best freeware AI Traffic Management Tools for traffic on ground and in the air as well.

Thrust SSC Download

File Description:
Thrust SCC (speed of sound car) X-Plane 6.40 Originally developed for x-plane 5, now updated to 6.40. The whole idea of this vehicle is to break the sound barrier without taking off. In 1997 the British in a Richard Noble car driven by Andy Green set a new unlimited Land Speed Record and officially broke the sound barrier on land for the first time with a record speed of 763.035 (Mach 1.0175). Two runs were made. The first was 759.333 MPH, at Mach 1.015. The all-important backup run was made within the hour, at 766.609 MPH, which is Mach 1.020. A goal that many among us had thought unattainable has been reached. And now, if you want to set a new world unlimited land speed record, you're going to have to break the sound barrier first. For more on the LSR see my web page . http://members.rogers.com/appster.. This is a take off of the British car that did the job with the help of 2 F4 Phantom jet engines. Find a flat piece of land and this car can do as much as mach 1.4 or 1.6. The trick is to get stopped before you run out of real estate.

GlassWing: the Visible Biplane (Xp v7.62) Download

File Description:
Welcome to GlassWing, the most detailed aircraft yet made for X-Plane. It represents a new generation of Xp planes: aircraft modeled mostly outside of PlaneMaker. GlassWing is a four place, all metal sport biplane made for mountain flying. It offers superb climb rates, very short field capabilities and a high service ceiling. With its transparent skin, every major aircraft component is visible: spars, ribs, hinges and more. Right down to the spark plugs. It is a good visual tool for any flight school. It also shows the relationship between power and trim. GlassWing can haul almost 700 pounds into remote regions, for scenic and challenging flights. With its 300 horsepower V8 engine, it climbs like a homesick angel and can turn on a dime. Comes with Greg Hofer's Garmin AVD 55 GPS plug in (PC only) for easy navigation. GlassWing is an excellent barnstormer, ribbon cutter, hangar and Tower buzzer. Join Doug and Allison with their husky dog Sitka, on a weekend camping flight into the hills. Try some real flying: in the mountains, not over them. Land where no one has landed before. A good system with 128 VRAM is recommended for smooth flights. Fly the GlassWing today ! Royal Italian Air Force, Fokker D-VIII Download

File Description:
The Fokker EV,later designated the D VIII,was one of the most controversial aircraft produced by Fokker in WW 1. It was a masterpiece of simplicity, the designer, Reinhold Platz, had cut to the bone all the struttery and wire bracing and the result was undoubtedly the "cleanest" fighter of the time.It was nicknamed "The Flying Razor"for obvious reasons. It was flight tested with glowing reports of it's speed, handling and manoeuvrbility. It could be produced using much less man hours than it's contemporaries. There is little doubt that if sufficient numbers had been available in time, it would have been a real thorn in the side of the allies. The Fokker D VIII was never proven in combat, apart from one aerial victory. Italy received three Fokker D VIII after the end of WW1 as "War Damages Compensation", these aircrafts were based on Montecelio (Guidonia) Airport, near Rome and were used only for tests. After 1930 they were sold to civil pilots. This aircraft, with I-ELIA code, were used during the 1931's "Air Show" (Giornata dell'Aria) at 'Littorio' Airport (Rome) and were demolished during 1940. Textures only for Frank Elton's fs2004 Fokker D-VIII model (PEGASUS AVIATION DESIGN). Repaint by Manuele Villa.

Remote Tower Base, Washington State USA Download

File Description:
Remote Tower Base Operations, Washington State - Airport ID: TOWR (FSX). -
OK, all you Rotorheads - This is a fictional version of a very remote Helicopter landing pad on the Olympic Penn.. You must fly a Helo. I created it for my personal enjoyment and now I am releasing to the public as freeware. I hope you enjoy the "eye-candy". There are multiple radio and fire spotting towers in the area to check out. -
At least it gives you something to travel there for. -
This is an extremely challenging spot to land, especially using real Wx. The landing pad is basically a postage stamp. I created it and have a tough time landing here myself, so have fun with this one. -
You may also go directly to this airport by selecting TOWR as your starting airport. I also added a series of images so you can figure out how to get there from somewhere else. If you have my Wynoochie Lake scenery, its only 6 miles from there. (Just a heads-up) -
Designed with the FS X Sdk Scenery function of the Mission builder, Lee Swordy's AFCAD & the Abacus Scenery shortcut tool. - This scenery is frame rate friendly.

Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 "Black 6" Download

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the Flight Replicas Bf-109G. This aircraft was fully restored to flying condition and operated for several years at Duxford and unlike every other flying 109G, Black 6 is a real "Augsburg Eagle". The aircraft was built in Leipzig in 1942 and saw brief service with JG 77 in Libya, flown by Lt. Heinz Ludemann. The aircraft, having been grounded due to damage, was captured by Bobby Gibbes and the RAAF with the allied push westward. It was Bobby Gibbes' plan to fly it back to Australia as a war prize but being that it was the first captured G model orders had it sent to Britain for RAF evaluation. The aircraft then was put into storage after the war, being brought out to the public from time to time - every September for Battle of Britain day. In 1991 it flew for the first time again since 1945. In 1997, while performing at Duxford, it was involved in an off-airport ground loop which caused major damage to the airplane but thankfully the pilot survived with very little injury. The aircraft was fully restored following the accident and now can be seen at the RAF Museum, Hendon.
