File Description:
A major rework of Version 1 following receipt of additional reference material. Includes a redesigned terminal layout and AFCAD2 file to better match the real world. Also removes "skyscraper" default buildings on the east side of the airport and replaces them and others with custom buildings with interior detail. Added optional tree lines and tree clusters. Version 2 Patch for FS2002 is in TJSJJY2a.zip, including an AFCAD file.

| Sproat Lake CAA9 on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada |

File Description:
Sproat Lake is in the middle of southern Vancouver Island, 6 miles west of the town of Port Alberni and 30 miles directly south of Comox Valley Airport. It is some 14 miles long and around the eastern shores has a large number of houses with docks and boats. Plus, in the offshoot called Upper Sproat Lake, it has the Sproat Lake Tankerbase CAA9, home to two rather large Martin Mars firefighting planes. Their history is interesting, and their capacity for carrying water for dousing forest fires during the summer months has kept them in use since their construction in the 1940's. They have finally been retired from fighting fires in 2013, having been first retired from military service in 1958. This scenery is made for use with Ultimate Terrain; there was another version made several years ago which either predated or ignored UT. This scenery is for the month when a Mars was being repainted before retiring to a museum as a military plane, date unkown but perhaps 2013? If it is a time when there were three in existance then it is sometime in the 1960's; take your pick. Because of hills adjacent to the lake the landing of the AI Mars may or may not take place, depending on wind direction and whether or not it flies into rock before landing. Take off and departure seem to be more reliable than landing on a daily basis. The Mars flies to Vancouver Harbour, but only in theory; it does not land and park as there is no parking available for such a large aircraft. The AI follows in the second post.

This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire Mk.VIII RAAF A58-354 (JG884) DL-V as flown by Squadron Leader Sid Linnard, the CO of RAAF 54 squadron, based in Livingstone, Northern Territory, during august-september 1944. Lennard had became an ace while flying in Greece and the African desert earlier in the war. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

It includes a 1000' x 50' dirt runway (the real runway is only 700' x 50') surrounded by pine trees, a highly detailed log cabin/terminal building with a corral (for outfitters/hunters/fishermen/campers on horses) and a windsock. Traffic is lefthand for for runway 7 and 25. There are no services or lighting. FS runway altitude is 3179' MSL. CTAF is 122.9

Includes: Extra services to Honolulu, Narita, Seoul/Incheon and Sydney; Carribean and Hawaiian winter destinations; revamped European timetable in which all services but those to London, Frankfurt, Munich, and Paris have been discontinued; and real positioning flights within Canada. Also includes a fix to the 747-400 flightplans as the Tokyo services are now operated by Boeing 767-300ER's.
