The Farallon Islands, which are approx. 28 miles due West of San Francisco, will now show on your Airport Menu and in Map View. ICAO code KFIS. There is a start location on the Helipad and a NDB frequency of 256.00 also. Just place this afcad in the SF-Farallones/scenery subfolder. Also D/L farallones_beta4.zip

Dallas, Texas - Helijet Shuttle Service - Scenery plus an AI Helicopter

File Description:
Dallas, Texas - Helijet Shuttle service. This scenery adds the fictitious Helijet Shuttle service which shuttles passengers from smaller local airports to Dallas-Ft. Worth International (KDFW) and back again. The fine Sikorsky S-76C AI Helicopter by Chris 'Elvis' Jones (not included) will be seen departing and arriving at Addison (KADS), Redbird (KRDB), Love (KDAL) and KDFW. At each location there is a small service area created with the EZ Scenery Object Placer program. All necessary files - other than the AI Helicopter - are included. This scenery is presented not only as an interesting addition to the Dallas area airports, but also as a “case study” to help you add the same type of service in other suitable locations. By studying the Afcads I have created, you will quickly see how it is possible to include AI Helicopters in your sceneries using the "invisible” airport technique. Please unzip this package (using folders option) to a temporary folder and carefully follow the simple installation instructions.

Wake Effect for Static Ships - Clarification

File Description:
Wake Effect for Static Ships - Clarification. Some users have repported that they are unable to compile their properly written xml files into a bgl using bglcomp.exe. This clarification provides a link to the Microsoft Parser program which is required for bglcomp to work. I incorrectly assumed everyone would already have the parser (msxml) installed on their computers. There is also a recommendation for a handy little utility to be used with bglcomp. It shows any errors which may occur during compilation (such as a missing parser program) and that makes it much easier to solve non-compiling problems. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience my oversight may have caused.

Audio-Visual Player for your Kneeboard

File Description:
An Audio-Visual enhancement for the Kneeboard of ANY aircraft. Ever wonder what the pilots are doing on those long flights while the passengers are watching a movie? Perhaps they too are watching their favorite flic. This simple enhancement will allow you to watch movies in several formats (AVI WMV MPG) or listen to music in several formats (MP3 WAV and WMA) - on the kneeboard of any aircraft. This application does not replace any of the normal kneeboard references but simply adds an audio-visual option. The code necessary to do this was originally written by Tim Pinkawa and has been slightly modified by David "Opa" Marshall for your flying enjoyment. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the very simple installation instructions.

Tieton Flying Club - 4S6 in Rimrock, Washington. The default 4S6 airport enhanced using the RWY12 program. This airport is now the "home base" of the Tieton Flying Club. You can visit them at www.tietonflyingclub.bravehost.com. RWY12 program is NOT required for this scenery - all required files are included in this package. UPDATE 2 for Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. In response to several requests, I have added code to the mag_compass.CAB file which will allow the Compass face to be lighted at night when cockpit lights are on. As this file contains only the replacement.cab file, no editing of any panel.cfg files where you have installed the Compass with Digital display is required. The installation of the original package - Digital_Compass.zip - is necessary. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions. UPDATE for Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. I just discovered that I failed to include instructions in the original documentation which will allow the user to choose two other display options. This update (a short text file) will explain how to easily change the display to one of three slightly different versions. I apologize for the oversight. The installation of the original package - Digital_Compass.zip - is required.
