| Papua New Guinea Airports |
|
File Description:
21 mostly new and upgraded airports in Papua New Guinea. These are mostly remote strips in villages only accessible by air serviced by Airlines PNG and their Twin Otter aircraft. Some are perched high in the PNG highlands while others are on the coastal flats, some are very short less than 400 metres. These airports will test the mettle of any keen bush pilot. See readme for full details.

File Description:
For those of you who wish to add a little more realism with ATC communications in your cockpit over the Quebec province, here is part 3 with 25 more .WAV files from Montreal Center ATC. You'll be able to hear about 25 different airlines, such as Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Canjet, Canforce, First Air, Alitalia, Swiss, Air France, Westjet, American, Northwest, British Airways, Morning Star Air Express, Aeropro, Lufthansa, Continental, LOT, United, Air Transat and more. | Fort Good Hope CZGH - Northwest Territories, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is the second in a series of airfields that follow that early access route to the Canadian northern shore, the Mackenzie River. At the far northern end of the river there are Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik, and Fort McPherson, all posted. Fort Good Hope is at 268 feet ASL and on the east bank of the Mackenzie, 180 miles southeast of Fort McPherson and 100 miles west of Great Bear Lake. The town has a population of around 560, and the main sources of income are from the traditional trapping and hunting. The airport is a mile south of the town, and has almost 4,000 feet of gravel runway. There are scheduled flights to the town by North Wright; I also have two AI GA flights and a Buffalo Airways delivery trip that hops north and south from field to field.

| Spitfire MkI/II N17 "Speed Spitfire" |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is for the WoP III Spitfire Mk Ia, depicting K9834. Modified to the High Speed Spitfire Type 323 N17 for an attempt on the World's Air Speed Record in 1938. It was first flown by J. 'Mutt' Summers on November 11. The limited fuel, short wings and no guns made it unsuitable for operational service and was used throughout the war as a high speed hack, eventually being scrapped in June 1946.

With the Olympic Summer Games 2008 in Beijing in full motion, it seems like a good idea to visit all the cities that hosted the Olympic Summer and Winter Games. All flights are IFR, short-distance low-altitude flights (< 13,000 ft) are made with the default Douglas DC-3, long-distance high-altitude flights (> 19,000 ft) are made with the Lockheed L-1649 Starliner, but feel free to follow your own preference.(re-upload)

| Westland Merlin HC Mk.3, RAF 72(R) Squadron |
|
File Description:
This scheme was worn for a short time by Merlin ZJ118, the first RAF Merlin to fly. At the time it was presumed that 72 Squadron would get the Merlin, but in the end they didn't. The aircraft had no letter codes and the roundels/tail flash were in the pink/light blue scheme. These textures are intended for use with the Merlin HC Mk.3 from AlphaSim. Repaint by Frank Safranek.
