File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Aerosoft. The Royal New Zealand Air Force had 56 Catalina's in all between 1943 and 1953. They were registered NZ4001-4056 inclusive and included 22 PBY-5s (mostly MklVAs) with the remainder being PB2B-1 s. All were flying boats, with no amphibian models being taken on charge. After the war only half a dozen or so of the best aircraft were maintained in service with No 5 Sqn (squadron code became KN-) and fitted with the latest search radar which had a large radome behind the cockpit. The remainder were put into storage. Two PB2B-ls were loaned to Tasman Empire Airways (TEAL) for short periods after the war, one (which became ZK-AMI) as a crew trainer, the other (ZK-AMP, former NZ4036) to survey a flying boat route from Fiji to Tahiti, later to become known as "The Coral Route" and used by TEAL's Solent flying boats. These two aircraft were eventually returned to the RNZAF before being scrapped.

'West Coast Victoria v2' is made to match ORBX Australia v2 scenery. Use 'West Coast Victoria' for ORBX v1 or no ORBX. There are 3 airports YWBL Warrnambool YPOD Portland YPFA Port Fairy. ORBX has done 2 of these (YWBL, YPOD) as they have done every airport included with FSX in Australia to a reasonable standard. If I had not already done them for ORBX V1 I would not have bothered. However these are better than ORBX because the surroundings have been modified to match real life. Towns have been added or shifted. Forests cut down or added. There are also custom accurate versions of the actual terminal buildings. Included are AI traffic files that cover all 3 airports + YHML Hamilton nearby (little or no traffic from ORBX). In short a lot more time spent. ORBX had to do every airport has in Australia! Recommend installing the excellent YHML Hamilton (by Anthony Lynch). These files are for Flight Simulator X. Made using Airport Design Editor using some objects borrowed from Robert Budd's excellent Baccus Marsh and 'Static aircrafts' by Jean-Pierre Fillion. REQUIRED The scenery is designed to interface with ORBX FTX_AU V2 scenery for Australia (payware).

File Description:
The town of Kotzebue is in the far northwest of Alaska, and these are villages to the north and the east of Kotzebue on the South Slope of the Brooks Range of mountains. There will be further additions. Noorvik is a small village (population now around 670) on the bank of the Kobuk River, around 50 miles east of Kotzebue. The new airfield is 1 mile south of the village; there is a short runway immediately south of the town that is now closed but is not marked as such and appears to be usable; this will still be listed in FS9 when you are presented with a choice of runways but is not connected in any way to the new airfield so ignore it. The new ORV runway has 4,000 feet of lit gravel aligned 06-24. There are scheduled flights by Era (now renamed Ravn) and by Bering Air, both of them originating in Kotzebue and routing east to Noorvik, Kiana, Ambler, Shungnak, Kobuk, and then back again. The AI includes these flights (eventually) plus perhaps an Everts Air cargo flight and GA.

File Description:
LGSK Skiathos Airport Greece.
Skiathos Island lies off the east coast of mainland Greece and is often referred to as 'Europe's St. Maarten' with landing aircraft skimming the beach and the nearby harbour. At 5341feet the runway is short and narrow and usually only captains are allowed to perform landings. Seasonal taffic includes Munich, Gatwick, Rome, Oslo and Stockholm, with scheduled flights to Athens.
This scenery has been designed to sit on the excellent photoreal scenery by Angelo Tassoglou, available here on Avsim, just search for 'Skiathos.zip'. Please note, it will not work with the default terrain. It also uses many objects from my LGKF Kefallinia scenery, also available here at Avsim.
The scenery features added vegetation, detailed airport buildings based on real photographs, animated windsocks, flags, road traffic, people, trees, waves, birds and air traffic. All the scenery files have been divided so they can be switched on or off according to user preference. It has been designed for and tested in DX9 and FSXA only.
Please enjoy and I hope you like my scenery as much as I enjoyed building it.

File Description:
The Airbus A320 family is a family of short- to medium-range, narrow body, commercial passenger jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320, and A321.
The first member of the A320 family, the A320, was launched in March 1984, first flew on 22 February 1987, and was first delivered in 1988. The family was soon extended to include the A321 (first delivered 1994), the A319 (1996), and the A318 (2003). The A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems in commercial aircraft. Although there has been a continuous improvement process since introduction, currently the A320 Enhanced programme includes greater improvements. The Airbus A320 family has over 4,300 aircraft built and an additional 2,300 aircraft on order as of March 2010. According to Airbus, it ranked as the world's fastest-selling jet airliner family according to records from 2005 to 2007, and as the best-selling single generation aircraft programme. | ORER - Erbil International airport - Erbil, Iraq |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
ORER - Erbil International Airport, Kurdistan, Iraq. The new airport and terminal building opened on March 3, 2010 and is as such not known in FSX. The airport is built next to the old airport, previously a military field. With its short 2,800 meter runway and temporary terminal buildings, there was a great need for a new airport, not just a new terminal. The new airport has one of the world's longest runways. 4,800 meters long, 75 meters wide and equipped for ILS CAT II operations.
Using ADEx 1.51, aeronautical maps all these changes have been built into the default FSX airport now making it on par with the present situation on paper. Right, on paper! Google Earth's images are too old (2004) to offer any help regarding buildings, vegetation and surrounding areas like offices, parkings and roads. With the help of blurry pictures found on the internet this is the best rendition for now. 99% correct.
For those interested a complete technical overview of the airport including approach plates is included in this package. Please read the readme carefully for proper installation!

| Consolidated PBY-5A (G-PBYA) |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of G-PBYA, originally ordered for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Canso A amphibian, basically equivalent to the US Navy PBY-5A. It was built by Canadian Vickers at Cartierville, Quebec and was allocated their constructors number CV-283 before adopting the RCAF serial 11005. It was taken on charge by the air force on 27 October 1943 and initially saw service with 9 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron at Bella Bella on the British Columbia coast between Vancouver and Prince Rupert. It was on their inventory from November to the following August. 9 Squadron had been based at Bella Bella for some time prior to the arrival of Cansos, having operated Supermarine Stranraers there. The Cansos were mainly operated from water despite their amphibious undercarriages and were used on day and night patrols, looking out for enemy submarines. By mid-1944, the threat of a Japanese invasion of Western Canada had receded and it was decided to disband 9 Squadron and close the station at Bella Bella. The Cansos, including 11005, were flown to Alliford Bay in the Queen Charlotte Islands, also in British Columbia, and transferred to 7 (BR) Squadron in August. The job was the same – anti-submarine patrols mostly – and 11005 remained with 7 Sqn until it too was disbanded on 25 July 1945. After a post-war career as transport and waterbomber, it was acquired by Plane Sailing in 2004, restored and repainted as a OA-10A of the USAAF. It is based in Duxford. | RAF Keevil |
|
File Description:
The airfield was built on a site previously ear-marked for the purpose in the mid-1930s. Consisting of 3 long concrete
runways the airfield was used by the Royal Air Force and the United States Army Air Forces Eighth and Ninth Air
Forces.
In 1942 Keevil airfield was provided to the USAAF and it was assigned USAAF designation 471 (KV). Squadrons based at
the unit transported military freight and supplies using C-47 and C-53 aircraft.
RAF Fighter Command use
Short Stirlings of Nos. 196 and 299 Squadrons RAF lining the runway at RAF Keevil on the evening of 5 June 1944 before
emplaning paratroops of the 5th Parachute Brigade Group for the invasion of Normandy With the departure of the
Americans, the RAF used Keevil beginning in March 1944 for 196 and 299 Squadron Short Stirling glider tugs of No. 38
Group RAF arrived followed by a large number of Horsa gliders, crewed by Army pilots of the Glider Pilot Regiment.
The RAF Stirling aircraft were crewed by RAF, RCAF, RAAF, RNZAF and SAAF personnel and were engaged in SOE and SAS
drops. largely in France, and in glider towing. Their involvement in the Normandy invasion of France and Operation
Market-Garden is well remembered by Keevil and Steeple Ashton villagers. Casualties of army and air force personnel
were heavy and a number of aircraft were lost.
With the end of military control, Keevil airfield is virtually complete with all of its runways, perimeter track and
many of the hardstands still in place. It is used occasionally for British Army and RAF exercises. The airfield is
still frequently used by the RAF for training purposes such as air drops and parachuting, the gate is always locked
and access is restricted to authorized key holders only. Ref ~ http://www.wdrcfc.org.uk/wp/about-2/clubrules/
Since 1992 it has been home to the Bannerdown Gliding Club, an RAF Gliding and Soaring Association Club, affiliated to
RAF Brize Norton since the closure of nearby RAF station at Lyneham. The airfield is also used as a motorsport circuit
for various events. It is also the home of the Warminster and District Radio Control flying club.
In September 1994 the Keevil Society, organised by Paul Vingoe, held a Commemorative Day to mark the 50th anniversary
of the D-Day and Arnhem operations and to dedicate a memorial to all who served at Keevil, especially those who flew
from there and lost their lives.
