Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport (IATA: LJU, ICAO: LJLJ) also known by its previous name Brnik Airport, is the international airport of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The airport is located near the village of Brnik, 19 km (12 mi) north of Ljubljana
and 11 km (6.8 mi) south of Kranj on the road between Kranj and Menges. It has a 3,300 m �� 45 m (10,827 ft �� 148 ft) paved runway. Letalisce Brnik was opened on December 24, 1963.
In 2007, the central-right government controversially renamed the airport to Ljubljana Joze Pucnik airport. Joze Pucnik was a Slovene public intellectual, dissident, and politician, leader of the Democratic Opposition of Slovenia (Demos)
between 1989 and 1992.
The airport is home to Adria Airways, the Slovenian flag carrier. There are currently two low-cost carriers serving the airport, EasyJet and Wizz Air. A few other airlines also serve the airport.
On December 8, 2004, the airport received its first annual millionth passenger. Overall, the airport handled 1,369,485 passengers in 2011, down from 1,673,050 passengers in 2008. It is the only airport in Slovenia with scheduled air
traffic.
The airport is served by a motorway exit off the A2 motorway and by bus service connecting it with Ljubljana and Kranj. A rail line to both cities is planned as well.
Airport is equipped with ILS Cat IIIb on runway 30. NDB and VOR approach are also available.
The runway of the Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport was closed to air traffic in April 2010. During that time, the entire width of the asphalt surface of the runway was renovated, as well as the asphalt surface on some parts of taxiways.

This is the first of a south Ontario series. Woodstock is a town with a population of around 38,000, located 50 miles west of Lake Ontario. The airfield is 3 miles west of the town, with a single grass runway just over 3,000 feet long and 100 plus feet wide, aligned 05/23 in FS9 (in fact it is now 06/24 due to the magnetic north wandering off during the last 10 years). There have been at different times varying amounts of gravel mixed in with the grass on both runway and taxiway; the majority surface by far is grass and I have left it all as such, as there is no visually convincing way to mix the two without unreal sharp edges. The apron is on the northern side of the runway, and is now modified in shape to maximise the area available for crops. There are 10 "T" hangars and a small clubhouse in a single long building. There is no fuel, runway lighting, or taxiway or apron lights so usage is effectively restricted to daylight hours. To the east of CPR5 and on the edge of the town is a private airstrip with 2,800 feet of asphalt runway; I have added this as a visual reference, along with several large grain silos on the other side of the road. Hidden in plain sight amid the surrounding farmland, the first sighting of CPR5 is actually always of the adjacent and far more visible buildings just to the east of the apron, which are owned by a company that deals with everything to do with boats, up to and including fishing gear. These have been included. As ditches cannot be effectively duplicated in FS9 I have included some fences which do not exist in real life, to give some needed visual clues.

File Description:
The town of Barrow is in the far north of Alaska, and these are coastal villages or radar installations to the west, south, and now east of Barrow. There will be further additions. Barter Island is a DEW station Air Force base 310 miles east of Barrow and 75 miles east of Bullen Point. The runway is just under 5,000 feet of gravel and aligned 06-24 on a spit of land at the northeast corner of the island. The big hangar is still there on the apron. Most of the DEW buildings have now been removed but this scenery is dated around 2005 when there were more of them still there. Between the DEW station and the airstrip is the village of Kaktovik, with a population of some 300 mainly traditional Inupiat. The village was first pioneered when the DEW station was built in the 1950's and grew as the years passed. The FS9 error discovered when making this scenery was that FS9 had mistakenly "placed" Kaktovik at Bullen Point (not physically, it was just wrongly stated as the local town); this is now only partly corrected as FS9 refused to accept my Bullen Point revision but allowed me to associate Kaktovik with Barter Island. Kaktovik is definitely on Barter Island. I could also mention that the runway was in the sea, but there isn't much point in that as Bill would say it was all the fault of Ultimate Terrain, so I won't bother. The next DEW station to the east is in Canada and called Komakuk; this has already been made and posted. The next in this series will be far to the west. The AI has daily flights by ERA, plus Northern Air Cargo, and some GA.

All four of these depend heavily on fishing but two of them only spring into existance during the salmon catching-and-canning season. Grant Air run scheduled flights to the two permanent settlements, and there are irregular scheduled flights and charters to the others according to demand. Ugashik is a permanent settlement 60 miles northeast of Port Heiden, stretched out along the east bank of the Ugashik River. There are two canneries, one old and collapsing and the other newer and functioning. The population is given as 12, though during the season this increases significantly. The (newer) airfield is at the northern end of the village with a gravel runway 3,500 feet long aligned 06-24. Egegik is the second permanent settlement, 45 miles north of Ugashik and 40 miles southwest of King Salmon, on the east bank of the Egegik River. The town is on a corner of land, with a population of around 110 and two operating canneries. The airport is a mile and a half south of the town with two gravel runways, 12-30 at just under 5,600 feet and 03-21 with 1,500 feet; both are lit. On the other side of the Egegik River are more canneries and two airfields, both of which have two runways but are otherwise entirely without facilities or luxuries such as lights. They are called Bartletts (named for the cannery it serves) and Coffee Point (named for the location). The shacks of the seasonal fishermen are strung out along the coast and a lot of the salmon fishing is by net, laid by a small boat and later pulled ashore for emptying. Only one cannery on the west shore has a docking facility for unloading boat-caught fish.

It is owned and operated by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), a public–private consortium.
The airport opened in May 2008 as an alternative to increased congestion at HAL Airport,
the original primary commercial airport serving the city. It is named after Kempe Gowda I, the founder of Bangalore.
Kempegowda International Airport became Karnataka's first fully solar powered airport developed by CleanMax Solar.[2][3] As of 2016, Kempegowda Airport is the third-busiest airport by passenger traffic in the country,
behind the airports in Delhi, Mumbai and is the 35th-busiest airport in Asia. It handled over 22.2 million passengers in 2016 with little less than 500 aircraft movements a day.
The airport also handled about 314,060 tonnes (346,190 short tons) of cargo. By 2020, it is expected to handle at least 40 million passengers per year,
with 45 international airlines and more than 1000 aircraft movements per day.

The Airbus A340 is a long-range, wide-body passenger airliner that was developed and produced by Airbus. In the mid-1970s, Airbus conceived several derivatives of the A300, its first airliner, and developed the A340 quadjet in parallel with the A330 twinjet. In June 1987, Airbus launched both designs with their first orders and the A340-300 took its maiden flight on 25 October 1991. It was certified along with the A340-200 on 22 December 1992 and both versions entered service in March 1993 with launch customers Lufthansa and Air France. The larger A340-500/600 were launched on 8 December 1997; the A340-600 flew for the first time on 23 April 2001 and entered service on 1 August 2002.
Keeping the eight-abreast economy cross-section of the A300, the early A340-200/300 has a similar airframe to the A330. Differences include four 151 kN (34,000 lbf) CFM56s instead of two high-thrust turbofans to bypass ETOPS restrictions on trans-oceanic routes, and a three-leg main landing gear instead of two for a heavier 276 t (608,000 lb) MTOW. Both airliners have fly-by-wire controls, which was first introduced on the A320, as well as a similar glass cockpit. The later A340-500/600 have a larger wing and are powered by 275 kN (62,000 lbf) Rolls-Royce Trent 500 for a heavier 380 t (840,000 lb) MTOW.
The shortest A340-200 measured 59.4 m (195 ft), and could cover 12,400 km / 6,700 nmi with 210–250 seats in 3-class. The most common A340-300 reached 63.7 m (209 ft) to accommodate 250–290 passengers and had a 13,500 km / 7,300 nmi range. The A340-500 was 67.9 m (223 ft) long to seat 270–310 over 16,670 km / 9,000 nmi, the longest-range airliner at the time. The longest A340-600 was stretched to 75.4 m (247 ft), then the longest airliner, to accommodate 320–370 passengers over 14,450 km / 7,800 nmi.
As improving engine reliability allowed ETOPS operations for almost all routes, more economical twinjets have replaced quadjets on many routes. On 10 November 2011, Airbus announced that the production reached its end, after 380 orders had been placed and 377 delivered from Toulouse, France. By the end of 2021, the global A340 fleet had completed more than 2.5 million flights over 20 million block hours and carried over 600 million passengers with no fatalities. The A350 is its successor; the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 and the Boeing 777 were its main competitors. Lufthansa is the largest operator and the largest customer with 34 A340 aircraft in its fleet.

Schefferville is a town in an area of Quebec that is surrounded by Labrador, the border taking an unusual wriggly course instead of the normal Canadian straight line. One has to presume that there was a lot of political negotiation involved. Take a look at Google Earth to see what I mean. The town was established in 1954 (initially at a site a bit north of the present location, and with a different name) to support newly established iron ore mining. To assist with the exploration for further iron ore and the construction of the railway it seems that there was a forced relocation of native population. Although iron ore mining around Schefferville in its current location flourished through the late 1960's these relocated folk were neglected and suffered "destitute poverty". Through the 1970's iron ore mining declined and ceased in Schefferville in 1982, when most of the 4,000 or so non-native residents left. Since the year 2000 there have been moves to reopen mining in the area and production restarted in 2011, the approximate date of this scenery. The main reason why iron ore mining started again in Schefferville as opposed to any other area in Quebec or Labrador is the existing railway, used for ore transportation. There is no road connection and the airport is the only other means of access for the 250(?) town inhabitants. This population figure is somewhat of a guess, and the town inhabitants are largely company officers who change and move in and out as required by their work. Schefferville airport is to the east of the town. It has a single lit asphalt runway that is aligned 18-36 and is 4,975 feet long and 150 feet wide, with PAPI at both ends. Air Inuit flights connect with Kuujjuaq to the north and Sept-Isles to the south with onward connections to all parts of Canada. There are other charter flights for company personnel. The terminal building has been renovated and the photos show just how dilapidated it had become before this was done. I like it. This scenery also includes Squaw Lake, a float base that is used by Air Saguenay. Or was, as the company was closed in 2019 after an accident involving several deaths. The reason for Air Saguenay establishing a float base here was, once again, the railway, which allowed people to reach Schefferville for a reasonable cost. They could then use the float planes for a shorter distance and reasonable price to reach fishing lodges on the lakes to the north. | Boeing B-17G 91st BG (OR-R) 'Nine O Nine' |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G-30-BO 'Nine o nine". Nine-O-Nine was a Boeing B-17G-30-BO Flying Fortress heavy bomber, of the 323rd Bomb Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, that completed 140 combat missions during World War II, believed to be the Eighth Air Force record for most missions, without loss to the crews that flew it. The original aircraft, a block 30 B-17G manufactured by Boeing, was nicknamed after the last three digits of her serial number: 42-31909. Nine-0-Nine was added to the USAAF inventory on December 15, 1943, and flown overseas on February 5, 1944. After depot modifications, she was delivered to the 91st BG at RAF Bassingbourn, England, on February 24, 1944, as a replacement aircraft, one of the last B-17s received in factory-applied camouflage paint.
A former navigator of the 91st BG, Marion Havelaar, reported in his history of the group that Nine-O-Nine completed either 126 or 132 consecutive missions without aborting for mechanical reasons, also believed to be a record. M/Sgt. Rollin L. Davis, maintenance line chief of the bomber, received the Bronze Star for his role in achieving the record.
Her first bombing raid was on Augsburg, Germany, on February 25, 1944. She made 18 bombing raids on Berlin. In all she flew 1,129 hours and dropped 562,000 pounds of bombs. She had 21 engine changes, four wing panel changes, 15 main gas tank changes, and 18 changes of Tokyo tanks (long-range fuel tanks).
After the hostilities ceased in Europe, Nine-O-Nine was returned to the United States on June 8, 1945, and was consigned to the RFC facility at Kingman, Arizona on December 7, 1945, and eventually scrapped.
B-17G-85-DL, 44-83575, civil registration N93012, owned and flown by The Collings Foundation, Stow, Massachusetts, flew marked as the historic Nine-O-Nine until its crash on the 2nd of October 2019. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

During the June of 1939 it was signed the order of 24 Spitfires which cost 9335 pounds each. When Hitler attacked to Poland, England used all the aircrafts that were under construction and of course the Greek were some of them. On 10/12/1943, the 336th Olympus Squadron received the first Spitfire and followed the 335th Tiger Squadron. The Spitfire mk.Vb/c replaced the Hurricane mk.IIb/c. Dawson Creek is at 2,148 feet asl just east of the Rocky Mountains, less than 10 miles west of the BC/Alberta border. The Peace River, 25 miles north of Dawson Creek, links the two sides of the Rockies, winding through peaks that reach up almost to 8,000 feet. The population grew when the Northern Alberta Railway was extended to Dawsons Creek in 1932, and grew even more more when the Alaska Highway was built in 1942 and Dawsons Creek was where it started from. The airport is just to the east of the town. The runway is 5,000 feet of wide asphalt (150 feet) aligned 06/24, lit, and with PAPI and approach lights. There is a water runway to the north of the main runway with the same alignment, separately designated as Dawson Creek CBD3. The two operate as one; traffic for both use the mandatory frequency of 122.2 and talk to one controller in one control tower. However, in FS9 the ATC for two separately designated airfields operates as if they are nowhere near each other and near misses are the result. I have put them both in un-manned tower mode so you will announce your position and intentions and select your own parking spots etc. There is in reality a lack of apron markings but I have marked the positions of both gates. The apron is not large so there is only one other apron parking spot (see the traffic cone) and most parking is either next to one of the hangars or on the grass. The aprons vary from asphalt, to concrete, onwards to gravel, and then further onwards to some gravel amid the bare dirt; I have replicated this variation as far as FS9 permits. The buildings are bespoke from photos. The AI includes Central Mountain Air with two daily scheduled flights and Northern Cariboo as one of the airlines that occasionally runs charter flights in CYDQ. There are also private GA flights, and float plane flights into and out of CBD3.
