File Description:
FS 2004 A-4 Skyhawk Packages Version 1.1 This package incorporates all known revisions. No other supplemental files are required for this version. Instructions There are three separate packages that comprise this release. A-4C A-4M TA-4J The files are packaged so that all you'll need to do is unzip the package directly into your FS2004 Aircraft folder. Each package has both panel and sound files included. There is a folder with the panel documentation included in each package. The A-4C Package includes A-4E's and A-4F's. The A-4F's in this group include a Blue Angels and a VFC-12 Omar. Neither had the "humpback" electronics installed. The A-4M Package includes both Navy and Marine Corps versions. The Navy versions are A-4F's with the "humpback". The TA-4J package includes both training versions and three versions used as "Aggressor" aircraft such as those portrayed in the motion picture "Top Gun". Credits The visual models were designed by Kazunori Ito. The panel was designed by Jean-Pierre Langer and Arne Bartels. The FDE's were created by myself utilizing Gerry Beckwith's Air Wrench. The Paint schemes are my creations. Notes for Repainters I've included layered paint kits in each package. I had to create these as the original releases did not include them. All of the components in this release are Freeware. They are for your personal use. Please do not upload them anywhere. Sources for Repainters http://a4skyhawk.org/ This is a huge Skyhawk resouce. http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/page-RGB-colors-USA.html A great source for accurate colors. http://www.tlai.com This is a link for two useful fonts: Amarillo USAF and Long Beach USN. PAIW Wales, Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Googly scenery for Wales - a small domestic airport on the western coast of Alaska that is poorly provided for in Flight Simulator 2004. These scenery files add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.

Wales is a small village with a population of just over 150 people, so the facilities at this 4000 foot gravel airstrip are fairly limited. The airport is allocated the ICAO code PAIW, although Microsoft has ignored this in Flight Simulator and uses the IATA ticket code IWK. Wales is served by light aircraft from airlines such as Bering Air, Cape Smythe Air, Frontier Flying Service, and Hageland Aviation Services. You might find it a convenient stopping-off point for a quick trip across to Russia - this is about as close as you can get and a nip across the Bering Strait will find you there in no time.

The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing. You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without. Masbate Airport, Masbate, Philippines Download

File Description:
This is a totally new Masbate Scenery Addon for Flight Simulator 2004. This features Multi-Level of Detail (MLOD) which makes a scenery framerate-friendly. At a distance, the objects are on its LOW POLYGON STATE. And while you get closer and closer, the objects become more and more complex, making you landing sequence unaffected by heavy framerate hit due to the High number of Polygons of the Library Objects. In this scenery, you will see a total transformation from the default Masbate City area in FS2004 to a new realistic and alive Masbate City as seen in the included screenshots. Masbate Airport Scenery (RPVJ) features photorealistic textures. This includes the Main Terminal Building, the Rancho Cuervo Verde Hangar, the Masbate Airport cargo warehouse, the Administration Building, the Crash and Fire Rescue Station, and the Control Tower. This scenery has full night lighting textures and has night lighting beams that illuminate the ramp from the firestation building. Other library objects included are: Animated Baggage Carts, Airport and Ramp personnel, ferry boats, ships, yachts, sailboats, cargo vessels, lighthouse, jeeps, cows and horses. But these objects do not interfere with the framerate so much because this is defined in the MLOD feature. This scenery has not been tested with FS2002 but is more likely to work without problem in that version except that AFCAD for FS2002 should be separately designed. Currently, Asian Spirit serves this destination daily from Manila arriving at 7:15 a.m. and departing for Manila at 7:35 a.m.

Realistic Boeing 757 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 Sound Pack Download

File Description:
I am proud to present to you my new realistic and accurate (And probably the most realistic and accurate) Boeing 757 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 sound pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and X. This is intended for use on Project Opensky's models, but should work decent on other freeware and payware 757s in FS. The interior sounds are from a passenger perspective (As if you were in first class). Once you load your aircraft with these sounds, you'll hear the APU System in the cabin. You hear the famous RB211 whistle sound at idle after you have started the engines. You spool up the engines at takeoff and then hear the buzzsaw-like sound of the RB211 engine's fans at full throttle. As you throttle down for climb power the buzzsaw intensifies like on a real plane! Pretty much every engine sound in this sound pack has been recorded from a real RB211-535E4 engine! Once you lift off and put up the landing gear, you will hear a chime from the cabin. It features realistic cockpit sounds like the autopilot deactivation siren, stall clicker, overspeed siren, gear up warning sound buzzer, flaps, rattles and bumps with tire-roll on takeoff/landing, and rattles on touch-down. I am sure that if you are a frequent Boeing 757 aircraft flyer, or if you're a pilot or flight crew on board a RB211-powered 757 aircraft, that you will be very impressed by these sounds! Give this sound pack a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!

OSM World: Western Europe Download

File Description:
Read Installation instructions carefully, this is a complex scenery package!

This package includes a "Dev Kit" should you wish to expand it to other areas! Please contact me if you wish to do so! This is community effort! If we all contribute, we will hopefully have the entire world covered one day!

Welcome to OSM World: Western Europe! This is a vector data scenery package covering the western European area. Coastlines, Rivers, lakes, roads, railways, and power lines with detail never before seen! All in an autogen-compatible density! You can see roundabouts, train terminals, harbor areas in a resolution of a point every 10 meters. At this same resolution a vectorial city class places residential (in small and big building variations, depending on surface area) and industrial areas exactly where they are supposed to be. This gives the city areas a resolution far superior to the capacity of FS-2004 default landclass bitmaps, limited to approximately 1 Km x 1 Km squares. OSM World: Western Europe will even give you small roads leading to small towns (even a few houses across)! From big highway intersections, including ramps, to the tiniest rural pathways covering the entire western area! Wherever in Western Europe you fly, there is something to see!

File Description:
Representative scenery of RAF Middleton St. George in County Durham.

The airfield began its life as Royal Air Force Station Goosepool, and in 1941 became RAF Middleton St. George. The aerodrome opened as a Bomber Command station in 1941. In 1943 it was allocated to No. 6 Group, Royal Canadian Air Force. A sub-station was located at RAF Croft, Yorkshire. Squadrons based here include: 76 Squadron, which flew Halifaxes, 78 Squadron, which flew Whitleys, 419 Squadron RCAF, which flew Wellingtons, Halifaxes, and Lancasters, 420 Squadron RCAF, which flew Wellingtons, and 428 Squadron RCAF, which flew Wellingtons, Halifaxes, and Lancasters.

After the war, the aerodrome served various squadrons and units including No. 13 Operational Training Unit (OTU), No. 2 Air Navigation School, No. 4 Flight Training School, 226 OCU and squadrons that used Meteors, Hunters, Javelins and Lightnings.

The RAF left the station in 1964, but the aerodrome was reopened in 1966 as a civil airport. The airfield was named Teesside International Airport in the 1960s, and was renamed Durham Tees Valley Airport in 2004.

This scenery has been made using various scenery libraries, mainly from MAIW. Full listing in the docs.

Consolidated PBY-5A (G-PBYA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of G-PBYA, originally ordered for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Canso A amphibian, basically equivalent to the US Navy PBY-5A. It was built by Canadian Vickers at Cartierville, Quebec and was allocated their constructors number CV-283 before adopting the RCAF serial 11005. It was taken on charge by the air force on 27 October 1943 and initially saw service with 9 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron at Bella Bella on the British Columbia coast between Vancouver and Prince Rupert. It was on their inventory from November to the following August. 9 Squadron had been based at Bella Bella for some time prior to the arrival of Cansos, having operated Supermarine Stranraers there. The Cansos were mainly operated from water despite their amphibious undercarriages and were used on day and night patrols, looking out for enemy submarines. By mid-1944, the threat of a Japanese invasion of Western Canada had receded and it was decided to disband 9 Squadron and close the station at Bella Bella. The Cansos, including 11005, were flown to Alliford Bay in the Queen Charlotte Islands, also in British Columbia, and transferred to 7 (BR) Squadron in August. The job was the same – anti-submarine patrols mostly – and 11005 remained with 7 Sqn until it too was disbanded on 25 July 1945. After a post-war career as transport and waterbomber, it was acquired by Plane Sailing in 2004, restored and repainted as a OA-10A of the USAAF. It is based in Duxford. More info here: http://www.catalina.org.uk/. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft.
